Born in Munich, he first studied economics and graduated in business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 1995. As he was involved with the stock market at a very early stage, he now has more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets. In the historic dot.com year 2000, he trained as a CEFA analyst in Frankfurt and has since then accompanied over 20 IPOs in Germany.

Until 2018, he held various positions at banks as an asset manager, capital market and macro expert as well as fundamental equity analyst. He is passionate about the energy, commodity and technology markets as well as the tactical and strategic asset allocation of liquid investment products. As an expert speaker at investment committee meetings of funds as well as at customer events, he can still describe the course of the 1987 crash, one of the major buying opportunities of the last 33 years on the stock market.

Today, he knows that the profit in shares is not necessarily the result of buying cheaply, but above all of avoiding mistakes and recognizing in good time when markets are ready to let air out. After all, in addition to basic fundamental analysis, investing in stocks is above all a phenomenon of global liquidity and this must be monitored regularly.

SAP, Qualtrics, TeamViewer, Osino Resources - Watch out, these stocks are way too cheap!

  • Investments

Sometimes things do not work out as expected on the stock market. At the beginning of October, the DAX started to sell off, the 200-day line was even clearly undercut twice at 14,850 points, and many crash prophets became quite loud again. However, as is so often the case, they were again not proven right, as the market exited trading last Friday at a new all-time high of 16,033 points. Who would have thought it - a whopping 1200 point reversal, the proclaimed crash was canceled again without a sound. We look at exciting stocks in a very volatile environment.

BioNTech, Moderna, Cardiol Therapeutics, Valneva: COVID-19, the vaccination chaos is perfect!

  • Biotechnology

Now the chaos is perfect. According to studies, the preparation from BioNTech/Pfizer is one of the most effective vaccines against the coronavirus. Hundreds of millions of doses have already been administered worldwide. However, the number of COVID infections is currently through the roof. Even those who have been vaccinated twice are likely still not sufficiently protected against infection. There are also unsettling rumors from BioNTech about irregularities in the conduct of studies during the vaccine's approval. Whether it concerns thereby only "rumors" or "provable facts", the capital investors do not care for the time being. They pressed the sell button and thus sent the entire peer group Adhoc into the basement. We take a closer look at the chaos.

TUI, Troilus Gold, Lufthansa - These are the turnaround stocks for 2022

  • Gold

If you think about interesting portfolio mixes today, you will find some lagging stocks on the price list alongside blockbuster shares such as Tesla, Apple & Co. There is still a lot of catching up in the travel industry, for example, and in financial stocks. The permissible question is, of course, whether there will be a real comeback to the "old world" for the travel industry after the extended COVID restrictions. Experts deny this hope, but there are huge restructuring and forward-looking cost-cutting measures in tourism stocks in particular. We take a look at some shares and examine the opportunities.

First Hydrogen, Nel, Plug Power, Ballard - Glasgow UN Climate Change Conference ups the ante!

  • Hydrogen

In its hydrogen strategy, the EU plans to expand electrolysis capacities to 40 GW for "green hydrogen" by 2030. Germany contributes one-eighth of the EU-wide total capacity within a national share and is a major driver of innovation due to its technological expertise. Green hydrogen refers to the use of electricity for electrolysis from exclusively renewable energies and is, therefore, a completely CO2-free hydrogen production. As a result, hydrogen technology is in the spotlight for climate-neutral energy production and reducing emissions. We get an overview of the listed protagonists.

Varta, Manganese X Energy, Standard Lithium: Battle for the best battery!

  • Electromobility

Just after the general elections, it was back - the battery fantasy! Whatever the outcome of the formation of the government, all parties involved have shown a high level of commitment to sometimes drastic steps towards climate protection. Electromobility is becoming increasingly crucial for the energy transition in transport. And with it, the research, development and production of drives, batteries and components. In this context, suppliers of battery raw materials and product developers are enjoying a great deal of attention. The triumphant march of Tesla shares continues to pull on the entire sector. Which stocks are ahead?

CureVac, Ayurcann, Novavax, NanoRepro: Things are going through the roof here!

  • Biotechnology

Healing and well-being are the focus of many biotech and pharmaceutical companies. In many cases, long research is carried out in order to get corresponding active substances on the way. After many clinical test series, the laborious approval process with the corresponding health authorities then begins. Some companies have provided themselves with good growth capital thanks to the high liquidity on the stock markets and are at the cutting edge with their products. We take a closer look at the industry.

Royal Dutch, BP, Saturn Oil + Gas: OPEC sends oil to 100 dollars!

  • Oil

The oil rally continues! In October, the Brent and WTI grades recorded an increase of around 10%. Market observers justified the friendly month with the good mood on the stock markets. The risk appetite returned due to the turn of the markets at the beginning of October. More volatile asset classes such as commodities benefited from this. Time and again, reference is also made to fuel reserves in China, which had recently fallen sharply. The world's second-largest economy could now buy more on the oil market to strategically replenish its reserves. Tension is rising in the oil market. Which stocks can benefit in this environment?

BYD, NIO, Defense Metals - Save the climate, make a profit!

  • RareEarths

No one at the G20 meeting had expected any great leaps forward in climate policy - the participants had already made sure of that in advance by lowering expectations considerably. Nevertheless, there was a common goal before the summit in Rome: to send a strong signal for the UN Climate Change Conference in Glasgow. So postponed is not canceled. Of course, everyone is aware that this is the least that the heads of state and government of the 20 largest industrialized and emerging countries can do. After all, together, their countries are responsible for 80% of global greenhouse gas emissions. If they do not act, climate protection will be in a dire state. We take a look at exciting investments with climate relevance.

Newmont, Tembo Gold, First Majestic - The inflation bubble is filling up!

  • PreciousMetals

With the current climate debate and the parallel GreenTech hype, the development of precious metals is being ignored and left aside. Investment flows are going into the strong momentum stocks from the tech sectors, and gold and silver keep ending up on the sell lists after minor recovery attempts. The Federal Reserve is worried about dealing with the latest inflation data; after all, the economy is still laboring from broken supply chains and blocked sea routes. There will not be much growth in 2021 either, which does not seem to bother the stock markets. After all, shareholders like to hear the magic word "inflation," as it promises higher nominal profits and historically high asset prices. But the topic of gold and silver will come, so today, we look at interesting mining stocks.

Barrick Gold, Central African Gold, Gazprom - Gold becomes a fireball!

  • PreciousMetals

The development of gold follows the inflation trend in our economies in the last 25 years. Before the turn of the millennium, the ounce was still below USD 200. Due to the real estate bubble after the dot-com boom and the devastating effects of the US subprime crisis, the precious metal reached its temporary peak in 2011 at USD 1,950. At that time, the ECB tried to prevent the collapse of Greece with emergency loans. With the deployment of EUR 336 billion, this European rescue experiment succeeded for the time being, but the gold price then lost value again in the following years until 2015, down to USD 1,120. Last year, there was then a new attempt in the direction of north. In May, the precious metal reached USD 2,050 - a plus of USD 600 since the Corona Crisis. Where does the metal go from here?
