Born in Munich, he first studied economics and graduated in business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 1995. As he was involved with the stock market at a very early stage, he now has more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets. In the historic dot.com year 2000, he trained as a CEFA analyst in Frankfurt and has since then accompanied over 20 IPOs in Germany.
Until 2018, he held various positions at banks as an asset manager, capital market and macro expert as well as fundamental equity analyst. He is passionate about the energy, commodity and technology markets as well as the tactical and strategic asset allocation of liquid investment products. As an expert speaker at investment committee meetings of funds as well as at customer events, he can still describe the course of the 1987 crash, one of the major buying opportunities of the last 33 years on the stock market.
Today, he knows that the profit in shares is not necessarily the result of buying cheaply, but above all of avoiding mistakes and recognizing in good time when markets are ready to let air out. After all, in addition to basic fundamental analysis, investing in stocks is above all a phenomenon of global liquidity and this must be monitored regularly.

Attention: Critical Metals as Future Boosters! thyssenkrupp, Power Metallic, Hensoldt, and Nordex
The start of the second half of the year is bringing new record highs, but volatility remains high. The stock markets are currently in turmoil, with prices changing direction almost daily. This is driven by new headlines about trade tariffs, geopolitical power games, and the question of global security. While the world is currently focused on armed conflicts, a key issue is increasingly coming to the fore for stock market traders: critical metals. These raw materials, ranging from rare earths and copper to gallium and titanium, are the backbone of modern technologies, green transformation, and military strength. In the defense industry, shortages of critical metals could now become a strategic risk, a fact that many still underestimate. Western industrialized nations are therefore increasing efforts to secure raw material sources and reduce their dependence on geopolitically fragile suppliers. Where are the new high-yield champions for your portfolio?

The gold hammer! Goldman Sachs predicts USD 4,500 – Barrick, Desert Gold, Rheinmetall, and thyssenkrupp
The highest current estimate by investment banks for the price of gold is USD 4,500 per ounce by the end of 2025. This is the extreme scenario from Goldman Sachs, which could materialize in the event of a severe recession or major geopolitical escalation. In addition to the ever-present war scenarios, the economic outlook in the US also remains a source of uncertainty. The prospect of persistently high interest rates is fueling inflation concerns, with many wealthy investors pulling out of the dollar and increasingly turning to gold. This is also because US fiscal policy is perceived as increasingly chaotic. Additional tariffs are pushing the budget deficit even higher, creating an environment in which tangible assets are becoming more attractive. The increased demand for gold from institutional investors, funds, and central banks sends a clear message: the precious metals sector is on the verge of a new upswing.

Almonty fires up the turbo: Reaching new heights with tungsten and foresight
Almonty Industries (TSX: AII; WKN: A1JSSD; ISIN: CA0203981034; EUR 2.75) is set to become a key player in strategic raw material security in 2025, and with good reason. Despite a fourfold increase in its share price and a market value of over CAD 1.2 billion, the story is far from over. Of particular concern are the intensifying international tensions between the power blocs of the US, Europe, and China, which show no signs of easing. At recent summit meetings, it became clear that neither side is willing to make concessions, even on minor issues. Tariffs, inflation, high debt, and a dire supply situation on the commodity markets are further exacerbating the political rifts between East and West. At the center of this storm are commodity producers and industrial buyers who depend on stable supply chains. Here is an update on our top pick: Almonty Industries.

Lightning on the horizon in the biotech sector: Refinancing on the rise! Keep an eye on Formycon, PanGenomic Health, Bayer, and Novo Nordisk
In the first half of 2025, the biotech sector demonstrated resilience and innovation despite macroeconomic uncertainties. Venture capital financing reached an impressive USD 6.5 billion, with a focus on companies with clinically validated data. Large financing deals such as the USD 365 million for Pathos AI underscore the strategic investor focus on AI and digitalization. The IPO market remains highly selective, but strong stock market debuts such as that of Caris Life Sciences are sending positive signals. At the same time, the M&A sector is booming with billion-dollar acquisitions by pharmaceutical giants such as J&J and Novo. So far in 2025, the biotech sector has demonstrated targeted capital allocation, dynamic consolidation, and growing confidence in medical breakthroughs. Here are a few ideas for a balanced portfolio of opportunities.

1600% with Bitmine and Circle Internet – The next opportunities are lurking at Plug Power and naoo!
The stock market has surprises in store every day, with crypto- and AI-related business models currently causing a stir. Stocks such as Galaxy and Mara Holding are still among the harmless ones, with gains of 200 to 400%. Things really got going with Bitmine Immersion and Circle Internet. While Bitmine posted a 1,000% rally on Monday, Circle Internet took a whole month to increase its value sixfold. However, it is not necessarily the business model that determines whether stocks take off or not. Often, all it takes is a wave of discussion on the internet or social media channels and the wave breaks. Plug Power and naoo could be the next candidates for a rise. We analyze why.

Climate protection meets infrastructure: Argo Living relies on graphene for low-emission concrete
The construction industry is responsible for approximately 8% of global CO₂ emissions, and construction is taking place virtually everywhere. Anyone in the cement manufacturing industry who can significantly reduce greenhouse gas emissions is making a measurable impact on global climate targets. This creates visibility, political support, and ESG relevance, all of which are drivers for rising company valuations. The topic is highly relevant because several trillion USD will be invested in new infrastructure worldwide by 2050, including through programs such as the US Inflation Reduction Act (IRA), the EU Green Deal, and the reconstruction of Ukraine once the time comes. Investors are specifically looking for companies that are also included in these public budgets, as green building materials are considered a key technology. Argo Graphene Solutions (formerly Argo Living Soils) is perfecting this concept, and its stock is on the rise.

Geopolitical wild card: Almonty on track for another price surge, overtaking Rheinmetall, Hensoldt, and RENK
Almonty Industries (TSX: AII; WKN: A1JSSD; ISIN: CA0203981034; CAD 3.23) remains in the spotlight, and rightly so! The tungsten resource stock has been one of the absolute top performers so far in 2025 and has the potential to move into a completely new league. All signs point to a revaluation. What is developing here is more than just a mining project; it is a geopolitically highly relevant raw materials offensive with billion-dollar potential. Amid escalating trade conflicts, China is sending a strategic counter-signal and restricting exports of key metals. Tungsten is thus becoming a critical element for high-tech, aviation, and defense and is now at the top of governments' procurement lists. This is precisely where Almonty comes in. With the Sangdong mine in South Korea, the largest Western tungsten supplier outside China will be established by 2025. US defense companies are already securing the coveted resources – long-term, exclusively, and strategically. The confidence is huge, and the timing is perfect. Those who get in now could ride the next wave of growth. A surge in valuation is more than just likely; it is inevitable!
