Lynas Rare Earths, Defense Metals, Energy Fuels - Rare Earths, Uranium & Co.

  • Resources

We encounter rare earths in many ways in everyday life in the form of smartphones, notebooks, LED lights and electric cars. However, the raw material is not earth, but metals. The total of 17 elements, which can additionally be categorized as light and heavy, are also not rare. However, the concentration in which they occur is low, and thus economic extraction is often tricky. China has the largest deposits worldwide. Many countries and industries are interested in discovering and producing rare earths outside of China to become less dependent on the market power of the People's Republic. Should supply and demand diverge too sharply, this could - as in the past - lead to drastic price increases at times and cause share prices to move sharply. We introduce you to three exciting commodity companies.

Daimler, dynaCERT, Tesla, Volkswagen - state-subsidized share gains

  • Investments

The German energy transition and the change in mobility can be summarized in one sentence: maximum effort for minimum success. While the impact of the German population on global environmental responsibilities is marginal, the financial burden is enormous. The introduction of battery cars has already failed and is now only getting off the ground thanks to unprecedentedly high premiums on a new purchase. The original selling point that battery cars are better for the environment has failed miserably. The federal government is now engaging in damage control and appealing to subsidy hunters. On top of that, the acquisition is now sweetened with a state-subsidized charging station. Speculators are rubbing their hands.

Enapter AG, Plug Power, Nel ASA - Get into hydrogen now!

  • Hydrogen

At the top of the scale of stock market favorites are hydrogen stocks. We are dealing with an industry of the future - the proponents of H-technology want to offer a revolutionary energy generation and storage that is a real alternative to the lithium-ion battery. According to current overall ecological balance calculations, H-technology performs significantly better than the very questionable production of highly toxic metal-based energy storage. In a few years, research could be ready to define hydrogen as another standard in mobility and energy production. The German government has already approved funding of EUR 9 billion for green hydrogen.

BYD, Saturn Oil & Gas, JinkoSolar - The path is clear!

  • Investments

The oil price has been strong in recent weeks. If it goes according to the major investment houses, the positive trend will continue. Thus, the experts of Citigroup assume that the global oil demand will reach the pre-Corona level by the end of 2021. Currently, a takeover battle is taking place in the industry which offers companies the opportunity to completely reposition themselves and emerge from the crisis even stronger.

GS Holdings Ltd., Beyond Meat, Altria, HelloFresh - Eat, Drink and Smoke at Home!

  • Food

The world goes directly into Lockdown - it does not pass go or collect EUR 8,000. Loosely based on the parlour game, Monopoly, we are living quietly in a family-like community towards the turn of the year, while the stock market is experiencing new highs as well as violent turbulence. Neither the bullish moves nor the corrections are continuous. They are very selective and momentum-driven. Some standard stocks hang at 3-year lows other so-called pandemic winners go through the roof as if they could increase their profits tenfold in this environment. That's the way it is at the end of 2020, and January will probably follow this scenario seamlessly. Nothing is certain as the infection rate is developing alarmingly.

Nike, RYU Apparel, Adidas - Which share is now setting off at a sprint?

  • Sportswear

According to Statista, the global market for sporting goods is worth USD 180 billion. In addition to large established players such as Nike or Adidas, there are many small suppliers in the industry. Both groups are worth a look at because it is a business with high margins and a large addressable market. Especially for small, emerging suppliers, a clear profile and brand building are essential. In addition, online retailing offers excellent opportunities. We show you where the music plays.

Barrick Gold, Blackrock Gold, AngloGold Ashanti: Gold shares for every type of investor

  • Precious Metals

Whenever central banks and governments open the money floodgates, it's a positive signal for the gold price. After the initial reactions to the pandemic in March and April, the prices of gold companies went steeply upwards. Shares of many smaller companies in particular multiplied between April and August. Since then, the market has entered a consolidation phase. This phase could be an opportunity for investors - after all, the prices of gold shares, in particular, have fallen back, in some cases, significantly. At the same time, the pandemic is spreading, and governments and central banks are in a certain path dependency: to deny support to the economy now on the home stretch seems unlikely and also counterproductive given the aid already provided. Gold and companies involved in gold production should, therefore continue to have good prospects.

Rio Tinto, Glencore, Almonty Industries - commodities on the upswing

  • Resources

WTI oil futures settled above USD 49 per barrel on Friday for the first time in almost 10 months. Brent futures also reached an 8-month high of USD 52 per barrel. Such oil prices have not been seen since late February, with other commodities also moving higher. The prospect of a Covid-19 relief deal in Congress that will provide an additional USD 900 billion to the US economy has rekindled hopes that the rapid distribution of vaccines will get people back on track and encourage travel and long-term consumption decisions. The demand for commodities of all kinds could therefore increase rapidly again, and in parallel, the industrial figures and also the entire commodity market should be able to recover further. OPEC agreed earlier this month to gradually increase oil production by 500,000 bpd starting in January. A good sign.
