Watch out for these Greentech and battery stocks: Varta, Manuka Resources and BASF in turnaround
Tesla is currently considering building its own battery factory in the US. The Company wants to operate the plant itself, and the battery giant CATL is to contribute the latest technology. For Tesla, the Texas location would be a welcome addition to its assembly plant for electric vehicles. After the decision to phase out internal combustion vehicles in the EU from 2035, international pressure remains high to finally initiate climate change. E-mobility is seen as a pathfinder. Innovations are needed in the battery sector because the performance parameters are not yet convincing. However, there are many profitable conspicuous features for shareholders in the round trip through the industry.

BASF, Almonty Industries, Plug Power - The world is in upheaval
The Western world wants to break away from fossil fuels. These efforts have intensified since the Ukraine conflict. Europe, in particular, has realised how dependent it was on gas supplies from Russia. Globally, however, there is also a dependence on China for certain raw materials. This could be one of the reasons for the tensions between the USA and China, in addition to the conflict over Taiwan. The BRICS countries Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa have moved closer together in the last year and want to establish their own currency. With Iran, Argentina, Egypt, Turkey, Saudi Arabia and Algeria, six more countries are interested in joining. The world is in a state of upheaval. Therefore, we look at three companies that are part of it.

Market failure! Highs and lows at BASF, Myriad Uranium, Vonovia
We all know efficient markets from the textbook. There, buyers and sellers always come together - and in the end, there is no apple left over. In reality, markets are highly complex and are sometimes dependent on external factors that can change everything overnight. Today we look at BASF's business in China, the real estate market and the emerging market for uranium.

The big battery question of 2023: BASF, Altech Advanced Materials, Volkswagen - Who is the fastest?
In recent months it has become clear to investors that the global economy will have to contend with sharp price increases after the pandemic. The greatest inflationary pressure comes from scarce raw materials, especially for high-tech industrial goods. That is because the trend toward climate protection is forcing the industry to make its manufacturing processes more resource-efficient. As a result, this requires major investment in new energy plants and storage systems. Electromobility is still the smaller problem here because how will humanity secure green energy supplies around the globe? The energy hunger of the emerging nations already exceeds the new demand in the industrialized nations by a factor of six. Sophisticated ideas are needed!

Nel share slumps, a 60% chance with Bayer, Almonty Industries and BASF
The Nel share was one of the big daily losers yesterday. As a result, the upward trend has finally been broken, and analysts' opinions differ widely. Berenberg sees the BASF share as a hold after the publication of the quarterly figures. The price target is EUR 55. The figures are in line with expectations. However, the end of share buybacks and concerns about future competitiveness weigh on the stock. By contrast, analysts see up to 60% upside potential for Bayer. Almonty Industries is benefiting from the boom in electromobility and also defense spending. As the leading tungsten producer outside China, analysts suspect it could soon come to a bidding war.

German industry at a crossroads: Volkswagen, Altech Advanced Materials, BASF
There was often talk of the end of German industry last year. But fortunately, gas supplies did not run out, and many companies showed themselves to be extremely robust in their quarterly figures. Nevertheless, many companies, too, are facing difficult decisions. We look at what is at stake and what this may mean for investors.

Rheinmetall, Defense Metals, BASF - Rearmament in the defense industry, restructuring in the chemical industry
A new chapter can begin for Ukraine's defense. Rheinmetall will supply the country with border surveillance technology. Analysts raise the share price target from EUR 240 to EUR 300. A solution to the conflict with Russia is not in sight, so demand for rare metals urgently needed in armaments is rising all the higher. This is where Defense Metals comes into play. The Canadian explorer has initial data from the crushing samples and can now better estimate the costs for the feasibility study. BASF is also concerned with costs. The Company put its red pen to work and cut 2/3 of its jobs, especially at a site in Germany. A planned agar project in the US has also been suspended until further notice.

Greentech in focus: BASF, Meta Materials, Nordex, JinkoSolar - Invest now in the Climate Action Plan 2.0!
In the daily press, in addition to the terrible images from Ukraine, we are also occupied with unresolved questions about the energy industry of the future. It has been decided that the path will lead via innovations and renewable energies, but the underlying pace will not be sufficient for a quick turnaround. Moving away from the internal combustion engine is just as much a matter for discussion as condemning nuclear energy. Resourceful researchers are therefore developing new ideas for technological concepts that will change vast areas of life. However, implementing the solutions will cost a lot of money and require scarce raw materials. What should investors be focusing on at the moment?

A 100% rocket launched - Who builds the best battery? Tesla, First Phosphate, BASF and Varta
The Tesla investor day is getting closer. On March 01, the eccentric visionary Elon Musk will again address his disciples, this time from the new Gigafactory in Austin/Texas. Analysts went into the presentation of the annual figures with cautious expectations because many negative rumors were surrounding Elon Musk's electronics company: Fewer sales? Cars on stockpile? It came as no one had expected. Elon Musk delivered and, at the same time, taunted all the shorties who wanted to push his stock below USD 100 before the end of the year. It was a big mistake because the Texans even exceeded the analysts' estimates, and then there was no stopping them. Up 100% in only 6 weeks, and Cathie Wood can celebrate success with her ARK funds again. But Tesla is not alone among the 100% movers.

Altech Advanced Materials, Volkswagen, BASF - Innovative strength pushes growth
In the hunt for the precious raw materials needed for the energy transition, carmaker Volkswagen now has Canada on its radar. There, the Company wants to extract the lithium it so urgently needs for electric batteries. The Company would do well to reorganize its supply chains, and the EU is pushing for a CO2-friendly transformation of the automotive industry. The Company Altech Advanced Materials promises a higher performance of electric batteries. Its innovative technology allows electric batteries to perform better, which is ideal for the energy turnaround demanded by politicians. Chemical giant BASF is experiencing that politics cannot always be to the advantage of its own company. Once again, it is the EU that wants to ban a product...
