In 2026, investors are likely to continue to focus on stocks in the defense, raw materials, and hydrogen sectors. Pasinex Resources currently offers an opportunity to buy or add to positions. The zinc high-flyer impressed investors in 2025, and the positive news flow is likely to continue in 2026. A producing mine is being expanded, and a project is set to go into production soon. TKMS started the new year with a major order, giving the stock a new boost. After halving in value, analysts see Plug Power as a buying opportunity. But caution is advised! The hydrogen pioneer faces an important decision on January 15, 2026.

Pasinex Resources: Consolidation offers opportunity in zinc high-flyer

Zinc is probably not one of the commodities most investors have on their radar. However, Pasinex Resources' stock has shown over the past year that strong returns are possible. The Company focuses on developing exceptionally high-grade zinc deposits in Turkey and the US. Zinc is considered an essential metal for global sustainability, with a wide range of applications and rising demand. The stock had more than tripled at one point and, following a consolidation toward year-end, now offers an interesting opportunity to enter or add to holdings.

The purchase of the high-grade Pinargözü mine in the province of Adana in Turkey has now been successfully completed. Pasinex can now fully concentrate on the expansion of the mine.

Production at Pinargözü is already underway. Mined material is being brought to the surface. By the end of December, stockpiles of zinc sulfide material dumped above ground had increased to around 340 tons. A 10 x 20 meter material loading and sorting area was already set up in front of tunnel 541 in December. Concrete barriers and wire fencing around the construction and parking areas have also been installed. Renovation work on the office facilities is ongoing. Nearby crushing and ore-processing facilities have already been evaluated.

Pasinex is also developing the Sarikaya zinc project near the Pinargözü mine. The area contains numerous high-grade areas with zinc contents of up to 50%. The mine could enter production within the current year.
As a result, positive news flow is likely to continue this year and support the share price.

Plug Power: Buy recommendation, but caution advised!

Plug Power's stock could certainly use some momentum. During the AI energy hype in the US, the hydrogen stock multiplied to USD 4 by mid-2025 within just a few months. By the end of the year, however, it had fallen back to USD 2. From Clear Street's perspective, the current level once again offers upside potential. The analysts upgraded Plug shares from "Hold" to "Buy." At the same time, the fair value of the shares has been reduced from USD 3.50 to USD 3.

Plug shareholders should definitely keep an eye on January 15. That is when the Company's virtual extraordinary general meeting will take place. At this meeting, management intends to seek approval to double the authorized share capital from 1.5 billion to 3 billion shares. This could be achieved through one or more capital increases. If Plug makes full use of the framework, this would mean a noticeable dilution for existing shareholders.

TKMS: New momentum from major order

TKMS shares received a tailwind in the final trading days of 2025 following a major order. The Company signed a framework agreement with the German Armed Forces for the delivery of DM2A5 heavyweight torpedoes and the associated equipment for Class 212CD submarines. The order covers the development, production, and delivery of the heavyweight torpedoes. For TKMS, this is the largest torpedo order in the Company's history. The exact order volume was not disclosed.

The DM2A5 heavyweight torpedoes are expected to significantly improve the capabilities of the submarines. They feature a modular, battery-based electric propulsion system for high speed and long range with low acoustic signature. Advanced digital sonar also enables deployment in multi-target scenarios and complex environments. The fiber optic connection to the carrier platform enables high data rates and ensures precise navigation and control.

There are many reasons to believe that Pasinex shares will continue their upward trend in 2026. The acquisition of the producing mine has been completed, and a high-grade project is scheduled to go into production in 2026. Against this backdrop, the shares do not appear to be expensive. Plug Power is likely to remain only for speculators with strong nerves. The impending capital increase is likely to cause uncertainty, and the Company remains a long way from a profitable business model. The performance of TKMS shares is likely to depend heavily on how sentiment in the defense sector develops.

ESCALATION IN THE STRAIT OF HORMUZ: OCCIDENTAL, VOLATUS AEROSPACE, AND PALANTIR IN THE CROSSHAIRS OF STOCK MARKET TRADERS

Hopes for a ceasefire between the US and Iran were premature: peace talks have been put on hold. Instead, the conflict over the Strait of Hormuz is escalating once again—with attacks on tankers, US sanctions against Iranian oil, and retaliatory strikes on both sides. Investors would therefore be wise to take a look at three stocks from three completely different industries, each reflecting a different stage of the same crisis: the oil and gas company Occidental Petroleum as a direct play on energy prices; the Canadian drone specialist Volatus Aerospace, which is benefiting from growing demand for military hardware; and the software manufacturer Palantir, which illustrates where the real value growth is shifting in the age of AI-driven warfare.

Target: USD 6,000 - Investment Banks Are Betting on Gold! Lahontan Gold Is on the Verge of a Decisive Turning Point in Nevada

Nothing is as difficult as predicting the price of gold. There are too many factors influencing the precious metal, and a handful of reasons why it belongs in every investment portfolio. Today, gold is shifting from its traditional role as a diversification tool to becoming the central currency of a new era marked by geopolitical conflicts, tensions in the monetary system, and rampant speculation. When asked, the bullish divisions of investment banks say, "USD 6,000 per ounce is not the end—it is just the starting point." For once, Deutsche Bank, Société Générale, and JPMorgan are all on the same page, forecasting prices of USD 6,000 to USD 6,300 per ounce by the end of 2026. This is a clear signal, as the rally has once again rebounded significantly from the recent high of around USD 5,400 following the sideways consolidation since January. Furthermore, US fiscal policy continues to put pressure on the dollar, and geopolitical risks are increasingly seen as anything but "temporary." In the second tier are Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Citi, with forecasts of USD 5,400 to USD 5,700 per ounce. From today's perspective, that is still 30-40% higher. Producers, asset managers, and retail investors are gradually adjusting to a new price level, convinced of the potential for active returns. Gold is therefore not just a commodity, but a geopolitical store of liquidity and confidence. What is next?

Dividend Gem Vonovia, Sell-Off Warning for Siemens Energy, and Almonty Industries on the Verge of a Technical Breakout!

Over the weekend, international financial markets were shaken by a dramatic military escalation in the Middle East that could abruptly paralyze global supply chains and energy corridors. Following attacks by the Iranian Revolutionary Guard in the Strait of Hormuz, US President Donald Trump declared the ceasefire over. In retaliation, the US military struck well over 140 military targets along Iran's southern coast, prompting Tehran to respond with missile and drone attacks on US bases in the Gulf states of Kuwait, Bahrain, and the UAE, and to declare the key sea lane closed. This latest disruption to shipping traffic on the "lifeline of global oil and gas trade" threatens to drive global inflation skyward at a rapid pace. On the stock markets, this shock could trigger a fundamental flight to tangible assets and a reassessment of strategic independence. While the interest-rate-sensitive German real estate giant Vonovia is facing new headwinds due to the looming inflationary and interest-rate consequences of this conflict, despite its high dividend yield, the need for a self-sufficient and secure energy infrastructure provided by Siemens Energy is coming into focus, even though the company is currently struggling with share price declines. However, the spotlight may ultimately fall on Almonty Industries. As a leading Western supplier of tungsten, a metal critical to defence and advanced technologies, the Canadian-American resource company occupies a strategically important position. At the same time, its shares may be on the verge of a technical breakout.
