Canada's First Phosphate Corp. has secured USD 170 million in potential financing from the Export-Import Bank of the United States (EXIM) to advance its ambitious plans to create a strategic reserve of purified phosphoric acid in the North American lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery market. FREYR Battery is also pushing into the US market, moving forward with the merger of its Delaware subsidiary. In Germany, road tolls will be introduced as a CO2 tax starting December 1, 2023. Mercedes-Benz is not fully reimbursing the tolls to its haulers. On the contrary, they have something truly monumental in mind...

Omicron or Pirola? Biotech shows doubling opportunities again! BioNTech, Pfizer, Defence Therapeutics, MorphoSys in focus

  • Biotechnology

We had ticked off the Corona pandemic long ago. But if you ask your acquaintances, you may find one or two who have recently been infected with the "Pirola" variant. The official code of the virus variant is BA.2.86, and it was first discovered in Israel. The current infections are spreading rapidly across Europe and have also reached Germany. So far, the new Omicron offshoot appears less contagious than its predecessors. The new symptoms associated with "Pirola" include skin rashes, diarrhea, changes in the mouth and tongue, itchy eyes and surprisingly, sore fingers or toes. What is going on here? It is a reason to look again at BioNTech and some other biotechs. Where are the opportunities lurking?

Rheinmetall, Power Nickel, Nio - The situation is getting critical

  • Mining
  • Nickel

  • Electromobility

The further escalating conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, as well as tensions in the economic relations of global powers, are placing enormous strain on global supply chains. China's dominance in product manufacturing is becoming increasingly apparent, which must be minimized in the future. Last week, for example, the Middle Kingdom said it will require export licenses for some graphite products to protect national security, surprising everyone with another attempt to control supplies of critical minerals.

BioNTech, Cardiol Therapeutics, Paion - Rising Attractiveness and Lots of Movement

  • Biotechnology
  • Innovations
  • Technology

The current geopolitical uncertainties with escalating conflicts in Ukraine and Israel, as well as fears of recession with continued high inflation, have also impacted the capital-intensive biotech sector. In the past week, the Nasdaq Biotech Index fell to its lowest level of the year. Since the beginning of the year, the loss amounts to almost 12%. This level should offer excellent entry opportunities for long-term investors, as many biotech companies are currently very well-positioned and attractively valued.

Uranium with exploding demand! Uniper, GoviEx Uranium, Plug Power, RWE - The next 100% value in the portfolio

  • Mining
  • Uranium
  • renewableenergies
  • nuclear

With a global alliance, the participants of the last climate conference in Cairo want to implement their NetZero targets by 2035 or 2045. The speed of adaptation to more sustainable energy production and use is, of course, dependent on the public investment budgets of governments. In Germany and the EU, eco-taxes are levied to fund other areas, such as transport, which are then to be invested in environmental projects. However, most participants in the climate agreement are overburdened because of the high costs of migration management and rising government spending. However, because many countries still have a good infrastructure for nuclear energy, this form of energy is now being used to achieve the desired climate neutrality somewhat earlier and more easily. The protagonists of this view in Europe are France, Spain, Poland and the Czech Republic - Germany is staying out of this issue. However, around 100 new reactors are to be built worldwide, so uranium as a raw material is once again at the top of the shopping list. Which stocks are at the forefront of this trend?

Deutsche Bank, Blackrock Silver, SMA Solar - Which share offers the most potential for the portfolio?

  • Banking

The recent speech by the Chairman of the FED had a significant impact on gold and silver prices. There is speculation that the Federal Reserve may adopt a less restrictive stance in its monetary policy. How is Deutsche Bank reacting? Geopolitical tensions, particularly in the Middle East, are additionally cited as driving factors for the rise in precious metal prices. The gold-to-silver ratio is around 86 to 1, indicating that gold has performed better than silver so far. There is catch-up potential for silver here. What does this mean for Blackrock Silver? The metal is used in the jewellery industry, electronics production, and the solar industry, which is currently growing strongly. We, therefore, take a look at SMA Solar.

This has not happened for a long time: Lower prices among the "Who's Who" of international technology stocks. Investors who had bet on the endless upswing of well-known growth stocks have taken a beating in the last 6 weeks. But not every fallen angel is excessively overvalued! In times of high volatility and rising interest rates, it pays to take a clear look at robust business models. And as we all know, these are to be found among the market leaders. We welcome the necessary price corrections because they present better opportunities for prudent investors. However, the stock market must now compete with a safe EU bond yield of just under 4%. The risk capital for equities is, therefore, no longer as abundant due to attractive fixed-income alternatives. We assess the opportunities for a few selected stocks.

Volkswagen, Altech Advanced Materials, Dürr - Using the setback as an opportunity

  • Batteries

The past stock market week will certainly not go down in history as the most glorious. In addition to the widening conflict in the Gaza Strip, the current reporting season for the third quarter also brought rather negative surprises. For example, the DAX, Germany's leading index, lost more than 4% of its value in 5 trading days alone and slipped below the psychologically important 15,000-point mark. Nevertheless, analysts are optimistic about further developments.
