High-tech bottleneck: Rheinmetall, Defense Metals, JinkoSolar, Nordex: Strategic metals are more necessary than ever!

  • RareEarths

In addition to the increased risks for the energy supply with primary energy sources, there is also a growing shortage of strategic metals in the industry. These metals are needed in almost all high-tech applications and are difficult to obtain on the world market. The problem is that the leading producer, China, could turn to Russia at any time and slam the door on the West in terms of supply. Without these metals, however, many essential components would no longer be able to be produced. Some tech stocks have already reflected the difficult procurement situation in their share prices. What are the current opportunities and risks?

Value stocks for today and the future: McDonald's, Saturn Oil + Gas, Coca-Cola

  • Oil
  • Investments

Especially those who now want to enter the stock market for the long term may be looking for a risk buffer. The value approach has proven its worth. The basic idea is to buy stocks with robust business models at low valuations and thus be protected on the downside even in the event of weak performance. The idea is that stocks we have bought at low prices also have upside potential. We present two typical value stocks and show why even value investors should sometimes break new ground.

K+S, Globex Mining, Barrick Gold - Has the bottom been reached for commodity stocks?

  • Gold
  • Commodities
  • fertilizer

Recession fears have had a grip on the commodities sector in recent weeks. Copper was quoted below USD 7,000 per ton again for the first time. Two other factors create additional pressure. First, there is the strong dollar. The last interest rate hikes failed to lower the inflation rate. At the same time, the strong USD is making raw materials more expensive, which has led to a drop in demand. On the other hand, the zero-Covid policy in China is slowing demand. Nevertheless, the outlook for commodity stocks is good. At the moment, many companies are taking a wait-and-see approach because of the uncertainties. If the recession does not materialize, prices will soon rise again. The three companies we are taking a closer look at today will also benefit from this.

Opportunity for BYD, Plug Power and dynaCERT? Russia turns on the gas tap

  • Hydrogen
  • Electromobility
  • renewableenergies

Since yesterday, significantly less gas is flowing through the Nord Stream 1 pipeline to Germany. Russia is thus currently supplying only 20% of the possible capacity, showing again how unreliable Russia is and how dependent Western Europe - especially Germany is. On the other hand, it shows how important it is to promote alternative energies and energy efficiency, which means opportunities for companies like BYD, Plug Power and dynaCERT. Chinese carmaker BYD wants to expand its battery production and analysts see over 100% share price potential. dynaCERT could be due for a revaluation due to certification. Plug Power shareholders are currently watching the discussion about the government subsidy for hydrogen in the USA with bated breath.

Currently, most investors are on edge. The uncertainties on a geopolitical and economic level are increasing - a never-ending conflict in Ukraine, fears of an impending global recession and inflation data at record levels. In addition, the next wave of the Corona pandemic is supposedly just around the corner. Nevertheless, after the sharp correction of the past months, there are interesting entry opportunities at discounted levels.

Crash stocks: BASF, Meta Materials, Uniper, Nordex - Will there be a comeback like Tesla?

  • Technology

In stock market corrections that come from the interest rate and inflation side, when the relationship between inflation and capital market returns normalizes is critical. In the long NASDAQ upswing from 2019 to 2021, valuations doubled as future cash flows were extrapolated down to present value with minimal interest rates. That let potential market caps explode, and leveraged positions could also be taken at virtually no cost. Currently, the market is showing a different side. Negative real interest rates, high refinancing costs and increased margin calls are weighing on investors' minds. Some stocks experienced a real crash - will they bounce back soon like Tesla?

Quality is the trump card: Alphabet, MAS Gold, Amazon - Shares that always bring joy!

  • Gold
  • Technology

The capital market environment remains tense. Squeezed by historically rising inflation figures, which do not even reflect the reality at the supermarket checkout, and massively increased interest rates, the asset class equities are trying to manoeuvre through the summer. In the face of substantial price discounts on the bond market and stagnation in the real estate sector, investors are asking themselves: Where to put their money? The fact remains that the Russian conflict and the rise in the price of fossil fuels are putting the global economy under cost pressure, with a new surprise lurking almost every day as to which goods are simply out of stock or can no longer be supplied in the long term. In this mixed situation, selection is the trump card. We have a few ideas.
