Morphosys, Defence Therapeutics, Evotec - A lot of movement in the biotech sector
The biotech sector is on the move. On the one hand, the industry has seen an increase in mergers and acquisitions in recent months. The pharmaceutical giant Pfizer, for example, recently took over Seagan for USD 43 billion. Other companies are likely to follow suit. In addition, many companies were able to break away from their lows of the past months and have further upside potential.

Heat pump, wind power and solar energy, is this the electricity mix of the future? E.ON, Myriad Uranium and ThyssenKrupp in focus
Germany is rapidly moving away from fossil fuels and has removed nuclear power from its energy mix. This makes us the forerunner of a new-thinking society that wants to switch energy production entirely to renewable sources. But there are a few problems because, by abandoning nuclear power, we are forced to extend the lifetimes of coal and natural gas-fired power plants. From a CO2 point of view, this is madness, and there is another point: the supposedly more environmentally friendly versions of energy production, such as wind or solar power, are not nearly as environmentally friendly as advertised by politicians because of current production practices. We will analyze these aspects objectively and in more detail.

US payment default looms: PayPal, Citigroup, Globex Mining
According to US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen, the US could face a federal default as early as June 1. That is, if Democrats and Republicans in Congress fail to agree on a higher debt ceiling. Here we outline why the debate has come at an inopportune time, what dangers could arise for the markets and where opportunities await.

Gesco, Indus, Katek, Mensch und Maschine - The sun shines on small and mid-caps
Right on time for the start of the 35th Munich Capital Market Conference (MKK), the largest event for small and mid-caps in southern Germany, the sky in the Bavarian capital was bright white and blue. The positive mood was transmitted to the 400 participants who listened to 53 company presentations, including those from other European countries. Despite geopolitical uncertainties, high commodity prices and inflation levels well above target, optimism prevails in the SME sector. There is plenty of potential.

Correction in Greentech shares Varta and Nordex - Manuka Resources becomes a gamechanger
The goals of the climate protectionists are being delayed. With the Building Energy Act unlikely to arrive until 2025, the construction of the Tesla Gigafactory in Brandenburg will also be further delayed. Tesla has determined that the 300 hectares of factory space officially approved in 2022 is not quite enough. However, the latest planning for 400 hectares is meeting with resistance, especially from environmental groups. The municipalities are accused of planning chaos and failure to comply with environmental regulations. The climate-neutral future requires tremendous efforts because time is pressing. The stock market also seems to have run too far on many issues and urgently needs a break from its permanent upward trend. Pay attention to the following stocks.

BYD, Orestone Mining, SMA Solar - Copper is the lifeline of the energy transition
Copper is an essential component of the energy transition. It has proven to be a key material for the production and operation of electric cars and solar plants because it is conductive, flexible and durable. It is also used in many other applications. The copper price has been in an intact upward trend since July last year. Copper serves as a leading indicator for the economy, and even if the price has recently come back a little, experts expect a further increase in the 2nd half of the year. Electric vehicles are on the rise worldwide and especially in China. The Middle Kingdom is hungry for raw materials. In the past few months, more gold has been bought. Today we look at three companies for which copper is important.

PayPal, Defiance Silver, Palantir - The rebound is firmly in sight
In the dynamic and volatile financial markets, finding investment opportunities that offer above-average returns is a constant challenge for investors. One way to achieve significant outperformance compared to the overall market is to identify promising rebound candidates that have experienced a disproportionate decline in value following weak earnings or other negative events but are likely to stage a comeback due to their business model.

Thanks to Macron: Special boom for fuel cells? Plug Power, First Hydrogen, Volkswagen
It is a bombshell announcement that is expected to be made by the French Cabinet in Paris this week. As reported by Handelsblatt, in the future, emissions generated during the production of electric vehicles will be taken into account when promoting these vehicles. Until now, France, similar to Germany, has provided incentives for each electric vehicle priced below EUR 47,000. With the new law, Chinese manufacturers could be left out. We look at what this means and why hydrogen could be heading towards a special boom.

Tocvan Ventures, Palantir, Rheinmetall - Well equipped with gold, AI and defence
The US banking crisis continues to move in circles, this time in slow motion instead of at the record pace of 2008. Alternatives are needed to ensure that investors are well-equipped in these times. Precious metals like gold have always been an option. Tocvan Ventures, as an exploration company, offers a promising gold and silver project called Pilar in Mexico. The launch of Palantir's first AI platform, which is located in the defence sector, also sounds promising. In view of the profit forecast, the share price jumped by a whopping 22%. Significant price gains are also to be expected at Rheinmetall. An undisclosed major order will keep the cash registers ringing for the arms giant on the Rhine, even in times of peace.

Drumbeat in the lithium sector! BYD, Standard Lithium and Grid Metals
A major merger is brewing in the lithium sector: Australia's Alkem has announced its intention to take over its US competitor Livent. This is further impetus for lithium shares to complete their sharp correction. The Bank of America, among others, sees light at the end of the tunnel. The price of lithium has stabilized, battery manufacturers have reduced their inventories, and the reopening of China is causing demand to rise. Against the background of the threatened nationalization - or at least partial nationalization - of lithium projects in Chile, investors should closely examine where the mining areas are located. This is where Standard Lithium, active in the US, and Grid Metals, active in Canada, come into play. Are carmakers like BYD, Volkswagen or Tesla grabbing hold of exciting projects in North America?
