Almonty Industries, Plug Power, BASF - Energy becomes the most valuable asset

  • Tungsten
  • renewableenergies

Europe is at a crossroads: The energy supply crisis is hitting Germany particularly hard due to its dependence on Russian gas. Alternatives must be found as quickly as possible. In Belgium, a hydrogen plant is being built to make one of the largest industrial ports more CO2-neutral - Plug Power is the development sponsor. BASF is already feeling the gas loss and is changing its strategy. Investors are fleeing the stock despite an 8% dividend. And electric top dog South Korea is also building on economic independence. A metal for nuclear energy is of particular value here - and so is Almonty Industries.

Tocvan Ventures and BYD with outstanding news - TeamViewer plunges into a bottomless pit

The current correction has hit interest-sensitive growth stocks particularly hard. The US technology exchange NASDAQ, for example, has lost around 34% of its value since the beginning of the year and its high of 16,670 points. Investors did not even stop at shares in future technologies such as electromobility. But in contrast to top dog Tesla - Musk's shares have halved in value within six months - Chinese competitor BYD is rushing from one high to the next. There is also strong news from a promising gold and silver exploration company. A gold price that experts expect to be positive in the long term could help the company to outperform.

Rheinmetall on the verge of a breakout, and MAS Gold and K+S with rebound opportunity

  • Defense

Due to the uncertain geopolitical situation regarding the Ukraine conflict and concerns about inflation getting out of hand, the most important stock market indices are again turning downward. Germany's leading index, the DAX, is once again struggling with the psychologically important 13,000-point mark. With the exception of defense stocks, there is downward pressure across the board. Fertilizer manufacturers, which initially benefited particularly from the sanctions against Russia, are also correcting sharply and offering interesting entry opportunities for long-term investors. The precious metals markets are also running into attractive buying zones.

Buy or sell? Nel, Zalando, Aspermont under analyst review

  • Commodities
  • Investments
  • Hydrogen

After the heavy losses of the past months, a countermovement seems to be starting at the moment. Whether this will turn into a real summer rally remains to be seen. Buy or sell is the question. Analysts see a price potential of over 50% for Nel ASA. Even though competition from China and India is increasing. Aspermont also appears attractive at the current price level. The latest quarterly figures were positive, and the positioning of the small-cap in the booming commodities sector is promising. At Zalando, analysts react to the profit warning, and the price targets are significantly reduced. Nevertheless, some advise buying the online fashion retailer, but not everyone.

The super battery is coming: Varta, Altech Advanced Materials, BYD, VW - Who will supply it?

  • Technology
  • Electromobility
  • Battery

In times of energy scarcity, storage is essential in addition to generation. Engineering firms worldwide are currently searching for the "super battery." It should contain fewer pollutants, be rechargeable many times, allow for a high capacity and not cause problems during later disposal. We will not be able to reconcile all of these criteria anytime soon, but in the overall process, even incremental steps are having a significant effect as the energy storage sector evolves into the next trillion-dollar market. Here is a selection of companies that are already making a major contribution.

First Hydrogen, Daimler Truck, Mercedes-Benz - Will the EU Parliament's exit from combustion engines provide the next boost?

  • Hydrogen
  • Electromobility

A few days ago, the EU Parliament decided to phase out combustion engines in cars and small commercial vehicles by 2035. The approval of the individual member states is still required to adopt the new directive. Although there are currently still disagreements within the German government as to whether Germany should agree to the ban, the directive can be passed with binding effect by a qualified majority even if Germany abstains. What impact would such a ban have?

Price increases, inflation, rising interest rates and geopolitical risks - As an investor, one can get nervous. Despite all the challenges and uncertainties, depressed stock price levels offer an inviting risk-reward ratio. The big picture continues to favour commodity investments. Potential is not only to be found in the top dogs. Looking at the second tier is often more rewarding than one might think.

Hydrogen once again: Nel, Plug Power, dynaCERT - Shares for the next climate rally

  • Hydrogen
  • GreenTech
  • Technology

For the GreenTech movement, the current malaise could not be more appropriate. All governments worldwide have felt the dangerous dependence on fossil fuels in their budgets. The approach of winter in the northern hemisphere has power plant planners trembling. Hydrogen, at least as an energy supplier in terms of locomotion, is a tried and tested means of supporting the unbinding of oil & gas over the medium term. However, investments in new H2 technologies are still too low to speak of an alternative to conventional drive systems. We take a look at the protagonists of hydrogen technologies.
