Gold and cryptocurrencies have come to the forefront in recent years as two attractive asset classes that can serve as a counterbalance to traditional financial instruments. Liquidia, Cardiol Therapeutics, Bristol-Myers Squibb, Pfizer - Analysts comment on their favorites
The NASDAQ Biotechnology Index has been in the green since the beginning of the year with a mini gain of 1%, but the rebound since the lows at the end of October gives hope for a much more positive stock market year 2024 for the capital-intensive sector. In addition to the multiple interest rate hikes by the central banks, the biotech sector has been weighed down, in particular, by slower progress in research and development. With the expected start of a cycle of interest rate cuts, financing and capital costs are falling, which could lead to rising prices.

Fireworks for the 2024 energy transition: Siemens Energy, Almonty Industries, Siemens and Nordex in your New Year's Eve portfolio?
Supporters of GreenTech shares came away empty-handed in terms of performance in 2023. Despite repetitive messaging from Berlin, Brussels, and Washington, alternative energy projects have yet to really take off. There is a lack of private investors willing to finance the less profitable billion-dollar projects. However, after the conclusion of the Climate Conference in Dubai, a new force of anti-fossil fuel world improvers might emerge, initiating the new year with fresh debt-funded projects. Yield hunters should, therefore, briefly bet on the losers from 2023 at the start of the year in order to ride the euphoric New Year wave. Here are a few suggestions.

Christmas Surprises: Nel, CureVac, SMA Solar, Altech Advanced Materials
Far from a peaceful Christmas season, these stocks had some exciting news just before Christmas Eve: While SMA Solar had to fend off a short attack, CureVac lost the first round in the patent dispute with BioNTech over the COVID-19 vaccine. CureVac claims a share of the billions in profits for itself. Will CureVac now walk away empty-handed? In contrast, Altech Advanced Materials can pop the corks before New Year's Eve. The Company has reached another milestone on the road to revolutionizing battery technology. The feasibility study promises millions in profits. Nel can look forward to special earnings as a fine is significantly lower than expected.

TUI, Saturn Oil + Gas, Bayer - Find the 2024 doubler before the end of the year
The indices are close to their all-time highs, and at the end of the year, investors are starting to adjust their portfolios to optimize their taxes. If you still want to find stocks that have the potential to double, you have to look at the stocks that have not performed so well this year. The stock market moves in cycles, and what was not in vogue this year may be in again next year. The most important thing is that the companies you want to invest in are earning money and have learned from the problems that have put the share price under pressure. We take a look at three promising candidates.

The 2024 share rocket without e-funding - BYD, Defense Metals, Porsche and Volkswagen
With the supplementary budget 2023, the fate of the e-funding was sealed. On December 16, the purchase premium hammer came down in an "ad hoc announcement" from Berlin: The funding of up to EUR 4,500 for the purchase of a new e-vehicle has expired with immediate effect. This was announced by the Federal Office for Economic Affairs and Export Control (BAFA). The deadline for applying for the funding ended on December 17, 2023, meaning that e-mobility is now a thing of the past. Only the reduced tax rate under the company car scheme and the general exemption from vehicle tax remain. Consumer advocates are complaining about the unequal treatment of different mobility concepts that have prevailed for years, and the Federal Constitutional Court will likely have to deal with this issue in due course. Time for investors to rethink - where are the opportunities in the investment year 2024?

Edison Lithium, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen - Electric car premium cancelled: What now?
While electric cars are gaining ground worldwide, the German federal government has decided to end the environmental bonus for electric vehicles. New applications are no longer possible, leading to uncertainty about the future of the e-car market in Germany. This puts the target of 15 million electric cars by 2030 in jeopardy. We will, therefore, look at two of the leading car manufacturers in Germany and analyze what impact this decision will have. We will also look at Edison Lithium, a company that can provide the critical raw materials for electric vehicles. The demand for lithium and cobalt will increase significantly in the coming years.

Forward into the Future of Energy: Investing strategically with BASF, Blackrock Silver and JinkoSolar
At BASF, CEO Martin Brudermüller will hand over the chairmanship of the Board of Executive Directors to Markus Kamieth after the Annual General Meeting in April 2024. The Company is facing challenges in the global energy market due to its long dependence on Russian gas. Kamieth has extensive experience in Asian business and navigates diplomacy between the Far East and the West. Those who prefer to invest directly in commodities will find what they are looking for at Blackrock Silver. It is a promising explorer focusing on gold, silver and lithium, making it an attractive option for investors. With successful drilling and an impressive track record in the US state of Nevada, the Company has already achieved success. Pioneers in RE technology can be found in the Chinese market in particular. The abundance of raw materials in the country plays a decisive role here. JinkoSolar, for instance, focuses on intelligent energy storage solutions in China. The recently implemented 42 MWh storage system in Yunnan, China, demonstrates technological innovation, especially in grid expansion and network security. Given China's focus on renewable energies, BASF's focus on Asia and the increasing demand for sought-after raw materials, investors should keep a close eye on these developments - further details in this article.

After the COP28 Climate Conference: Hydrogen, solar or oil? Plug Power, Nucera, Saturn Oil + Gas, JinkoSolar in focus
It could have gone better! The COP28 Climate Conference in Dubai is over, the results sobering for many, for others within the realm of expectations. While large parts of the world are calling for a stricter approach to reducing fossil fuels, the countries in the Gulf region want to continue their successful business model of the last 150 years. Oil is not going out of fashion, and its production will continue to be abundant and delivered to buyers through various channels. Hydrogen and solar energy, like wind power, are essential energy sources, but they will not replace existing structures; at best, they will supplement them. Even nuclear energy, which has been widely frowned upon, is now seen as a climate solution by countries such as Poland, France and Finland and is being drastically expanded. Where are the opportunities for investors?

Nel ASA, dynaCERT, BYD - Greener driving, the new era of transportation technology
Reducing emissions from driving is crucial in the fight against climate change and air pollution. Large diesel engines in trucks, buses and industrial applications contribute significantly to the emission of nitrogen oxides (NOx) and particulate matter. Hydrogen and electric drives are seen as promising solutions for a low-emission future, although each technology has specific advantages and disadvantages. A coexisting application of both systems could enable the optimal reduction of emissions. However, there is still a long way to go. It will take years to build up the necessary infrastructure. There are already technologies available to reduce emissions today. We look at one company from each sector.
