COP28 a toothless tiger? Nel ASA, Klimat X, Nvidia, and Plug Power in the climate change check!

Another earth-shattering climate conference is behind us. The outcome was as sobering as it was predictable. Around 200 countries were able to agree on measures to reduce fossil fuels, but the Gulf states insisted on their right to continue the business model of oil and gas production that has been successful for decades. This makes it clear that the availability of fossil fuels will continue on a large scale because the BRICS states, such as Russia, China, India and Brazil, will continue to exploit their fossil resources unabated. Incidentally, international conflicts only work with fuels and not with battery-powered drives. So, if you consider the wars in Ukraine and the Middle East with their accompanying environmental destruction, there is no need to invent bans on European diesel vehicles. However, there are a few glimmers of hope for a greener future...

Electromobility is a driver for silver, which is indispensable in batteries, especially in electric cars, due to its high conductivity. Manuka Resources is an exciting investment candidate here with various projects Down Under. China's automotive giant BYD is expanding its European business amid strong competition and market exhaustion domestically. However, the Company criticizes the EU's business practices, especially the negative impact of the unbundling strategy on Chinese companies. But BYD has good prospects. Artificial Intelligence in Sellout! Nvidia, Defense Metals, ARM Holdings - Nothing works without rare earths!

After long bull market movements, the stock market usually tends to rotate sectors, or the market enters a general consolidation. In the former case, investors can profit by reallocating their assets while exploring new investment opportunities. In the latter case, all stocks come down, and the capital market generally suffers from a change in sentiment and corrects recently exaggerated valuations. In the case of the new megatrend of Artificial Intelligence (AI), the stock market seems to sense a great need for correction. As if by magic, the blockbuster stock Nvidia rose by 250% in just 9 months. However, it has already retraced nearly 20% from its peak. Where do the opportunities lie for investors?

Artificial Intelligence in practice? Nvidia, NorCom, Palantir - The next 100% with Big Data

  • AI

  • Investments

The stock market is not a one-way street. Investors are trying to ride the wave of "Artificial Intelligence" (AI), and corresponding stocks such as C3.ai, Nvidia, Microsoft, or Palantir are performing well in 2023. A new megatrend is underway here, which, according to experts, will continue for several years. However, because of the high valuations in the entire sector, it is worth taking an analytical look. After all, no one knows how long the AI boom will continue to generate decent returns on the stock market. Opportunity-rich stocks still exist in the second and third tier. We are taking a closer look.

During the BRICS summit, it was announced that six new countries will join the alliance on January 1, 2024. These countries include Saudi Arabia, Iran, the United Arab Emirates, Argentina, Egypt, and Ethiopia. This development might not sit well with the United States, as it could threaten the dominance of the US dollar. In addition, there are tensions with China over Taiwan. In July, the Middle Kingdom limited exports of rare earths. China has now added fuel to the fire by banning government officials from using iPhones. Before this, the US restricted exports of NVIDIA's AI chips to the Middle East. Tensions are rising, making it a good time to look at three companies affected by these developments.

Artificial intelligence (AI) stocks have recently seen gains of up to 500%. Fund managers worldwide jumped on the new megatrend, but now many investors are wondering what is next! We do not want to deny the revolutionary AI trends; they will dramatically change many things. But do these disruptive trends justify price-turnover ratios of over 40? NVIDIA, the main protagonist, recently managed to increase its market value to over USD 1 trillion. Yet, the Company only achieved sales of USD 26.9 billion in the last fiscal year, with profits falling by as much as 44%. This feels like an exaggeration that is probably not yet widely perceived. We take a deeper look.

Gold rush mood at NVIDIA and Desert Gold - Concrete gold share Vonovia crumbling

Stock market darling NVIDIA is behaving bullish again after a moderate decline. Over 50% of NVIDIA's buying comes from S&P500 heavyweights like Microsoft, Google and Amazon. All these companies invest heavily in GPUs to develop AI models. The rising importance of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and the increased use of GPUs in this industry contribute to the increased demand for gold and other commodities used in the manufacture of GPUs. Desert Gold, an exploration and development company in Mali, is benefiting from this trend. Its main project, the SMSZ project, covers 440 sq km and has proven and indicated gold resources of 8.47 million tons with a grade of 1.14 g/t gold. The venerable concrete gold real estate market is currently experiencing severe dislocation. 31% of project development volume in Germany is experiencing delays in residential construction. We look at what investors should do now to protect their portfolios.
