  • Mining

The question of European security has fallen somewhat out of focus on the stock market - shares in companies such as Rheinmetall and Almonty have fallen from their highs. But just because other topics are currently dominating the media, that does not mean that defense-related stocks do not have a promising future ahead of them. We take a look at three companies in the sector and explain what kind of potential investors can expect today.

When fires break out in high-rise buildings, vehicles, or aircraft, they can quickly become life-threatening. Fire protection materials have been used for many years to contain fires. Antimony is a key component in these materials. Around 42% of global demand is accounted for by antimony-based flame retardants in composite materials. But antimony also plays an important role in armaments and is found in armor-piercing ammunition, night vision devices, infrared sensors, and communication equipment. With China controlling around 70% of the market, according to Future Markets Insights, the need for alternative sources is growing. We take a closer look at the market and highlight some exciting stocks.

The craziness continues! NATO member states have agreed on new planning targets for armaments and capabilities and, according to Secretary General Mark Rutte, have increased the requirements for air and missile defense by about 30%. Rutte stated: "We need more resources, troops, and capabilities to be prepared for any threat." German Chancellor Friedrich Merz emphasised that Germany would provide all the necessary resources to expand the Bundeswehr into the strongest conventional army in Europe. According to experts, large-scale defense projects, particularly in the aerospace sector, will require enormous investments and far-reaching acquisitions. Across Europe, around EUR 300 billion is expected to be invested in air forces by 2030. Investors should now set the course to benefit from the flood of orders in the aerospace sector.

New trends in aerospace are driving growth: Volatus Aerospace, Lockheed Martin, Boeing

  • Drones

The new global security situation shows that military potential can secure peace. Even if staunch pacifists proclaim the opposite, the latest measures taken by Israel and the US against Iran have demonstrated that decisive action pays off – the mullah state's nuclear program appears to have been significantly delayed, at the very least. Military innovations have been particularly significant in the aerospace sector in recent years. However, many formerly purely military approaches are also proving their worth in civilian applications. We take a look at Lockheed Martin, Boeing, and Volatus Aerospace, highlight their innovations, and venture a look at how their shares are likely to perform.

Helium, a lightweight, non-flammable and colourless gas often associated with party balloons, plays a far more significant role in the high-tech industry. From semiconductor production to nuclear magnetic resonance imaging to space travel, helium is an indispensable element that enables a wide range of high-tech applications. However, although demand for this precious gas continues to rise, its long-term availability is becoming increasingly problematic. In this article, we examine how this unassuming gas powers the modern high-tech industry and how you can benefit from it.

BYD, Kleos Space, Airbus, Boeing - This could go wrong again!

  • Technology

The states are again on the verge of tightening all known measures to contain the pandemic. The tourism and aviation industries are always strongly affected by this. The investor can bypass this issue. After all, those who focus on technological achievements related to aviation and aerospace can profit from the increased business volumes in sometimes very disruptive areas. An example here would be Big Data and security technology. These are two booming sectors that are setting many an old-school business ablaze. We are looking at stocks from the high-tech industry in 2021, where the right choice was the trump card.

Palantir Technologies, Kleos Space, Airbus, Boeing - Profits from air and space travel

  • Space

Regardless of the discussion about who has now crossed the border into space, all tourist space flights have one thing in common - climate neutrality probably does not play a sustainable role for the initiators, given the manageable demand and horrendous ticket prices. After all, the wealthy travelers are in the minority, so an "anti-climate flight" can also be justified with the service to progress. Even the operation of a V8 engine in a Ford Mustang surely teases out a suitable justification for the operator's action. How about this one: permanently maintaining a classic car saves thousands of tons of CO2 compared to buying a new battery-powered vehicle. That is probably correct, so hopefully, the Mustang in question will last the next 30 years. We turn our attention to flying business models.

Kleos Space, Raytheon, Boeing - Only flying is more beautiful!

  • Space

Whether on land, in the air or on the water - people's movement data is now collected and analyzed in various ways. A wide variety of companies are now scrambling for the Big Data pie, which is continually being generated through the use of cell phones, cars and other devices linked to the Internet. Worldwide, 0.5 zettabytes of data are produced every day. In the meantime, the Internet has become ubiquitous and we now fear that we will no longer be able to cope with the amount of information. An appropriate metaphor for this is the flood of data we are exposed to every day at our desks and on the road. But one thing is certain: the big machines can handle our data brilliantly and draw their conclusions.

Kleos Space, OHB, Airbus, Boeing - SpaceX, into orbit with Elon Musk!

  • Space

Elon Musk might be the most dazzling Wall Street figure of the last 2 years next to Jeff Bezos. His talents are visions with which he regularly reinvents himself. Whether it is a battery that is supposed to last millions of kilometers or simply the possibility for wealthy individuals to travel into orbit with SpaceX - all this and also the most famous electric vehicle in the world, "Tesla" originate from his imagination. The development of the share price of Tesla itself is fantastic. It achieved a return of 450% in 12 months, calculated from the low in March 2020, the value has increased tenfold. The latest rumor comes from the Chinese press and talks about upcoming cooperation with the Chinese car manufacturer BYD, in which Warren Buffet also holds shares. Here is where the circle closes again.

Airbus, Boeing, Defense Metals: US government sets course

  • Rare Earth Elements

Acting US President Donald Trump has been a polarizing figure since the beginning of his political career. While he tries to speak from the heart to one part of the population, he drives his opponents crazy with rhetorical games. Although Trump ends wars started by his predecessors and avoids new military conflicts, the global reputation of the US government is currently at rock bottom. Meanwhile, Trump is gaining new fans on social media on the Canadian side. Acting Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau, has to put up with the accusation that Trump is doing more for the country's economic success. The reason for this statement is the construction of a USD 22 billion railway line from the Canadian province of Alberta to the US state of Alaska. But there is another sector that benefits from Trump.
