Finding shares with doubling potential requires a thorough analysis. On the one hand, the company's sector should have growth potential. If the sector is innovative, that also speaks in favour of the share. Then, a look at the competitors is important to see if the company is well positioned. If both factors fit, one should take a closer look at the candidate's finances. If you can tick off several items on this checklist, it is worth taking a closer look at the chart technique. Today we look at three candidates that have what it takes to double their share prices, at least in the long term.

According to a survey, people in Germany are again in the mood to travel, despite numerous concerns. However, the assessment of the personal situation has clouded compared to last year because 29% of respondents fear an economic deterioration. Due to various catch-up effects, life is returning to the travel industry after two years of pandemic restrictions. Industry representatives are also consolidating. Lufthansa has already moved into the plus zone. At TUI, there was a reverse split to make future capital increases possible again. Where should you get in now?

Nel ASA, TUI and Alpina Holdings: Shares with up to 100% price potential?

  • RealEstate

The reporting season is in full swing. The 2022 figures are an opportunity for investors to review their investment decisions and, if necessary, reposition themselves for 2023. For one of our three companies, analysts see up to 100% upside potential but also a "sell". The figures from Nel ASA were awaited with great excitement. Since last year, hydrogen companies have been good for a surprise every time they open their books - unfortunately, more of a negative one lately. Nel has also seen its fair share of good and bad news, and the first analysts have spoken out. At TUI, analyst comments are rather negative. Analyst opinion: Better than feared, but not good enough. In contrast, Alpina Holdings offers a favorable valuation and a dividend yield of 3%. Yet 2022 was relatively quiet for the real estate company from Singapore. In the future, margins and earnings should rise again.

The year is only just six weeks old, and already big winners can be spotted on the stock market. The correction of tech stocks in 2022 prompted many investors to open a new bet in 2023, and they were broadly right. Tesla is up 100%, Alibaba is up 80%, and Infineon is at least 50% higher. The IPO of Ionos has not been convincing so far, and as is well known, what is not can still be because the share is not expensive. We go in search of the next climbers.

Shares are a popular form of investment that can hold a lot of potential. Particularly interesting are stocks that are positioned before a turnaround. This means that the Company has had difficulties in the past but is now expected to see positive changes in its business potential. These stocks can bring large profits if successful, as they often trade at lower prices and have great upside potential. Last generation upswing 2023? TUI, Lufthansa, Alerio Gold, Aurelius - opportunities upon opportunities!

The year 2023 has shown its friendly side in the first weeks. Despite highs in the indices, however, there is light and shade. For example, the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) recently found in a survey that consumers in Germany are entering the new year with significantly more confidence in economic development. This means that the ACR consumer climate index has risen for the fourth time in succession. The propensity to buy things nevertheless remains at a very low level. The new purchases indicator thus fell by 2.4 points to minus 18.7 points. Uncertainty in the face of crises and inflation remains very pronounced, with many households expecting significantly higher heating bills in the coming months. Many are putting money aside for this, which is now not being used for other expenses. However, shares are being bought, and we give a few examples.

Crisis, crisis, crisis - we do not want to hear any more about it at Christmas time. After the relief rally, the stock markets have gone back to sleep. It was turbulent until September, and then the correction was over for the time being. But how much "good" is already priced in for next year? Will there be a quick end to the war, can the inflation rate also fall, and what will interest rates do in 2023? Many unanswered questions that will likely only be answered gradually. The shares have to achieve a fair valuation from this mixed situation - perhaps that is why the correction is not quite over yet. Where are the best opportunities for investors?

  • Turnaround

Despite all the gloom, the capital market offers plenty of new opportunities every day. Although the DAX is holding up well at the end of the year, many shares have crashed and remain at the bottom of the charts for the time being. But there are some glimmers of hope. Many investors sell poorly performing shares at the end of the year in order to benefit from the tax write-off of losses. The lucky investors even have a few profits to offset and like to smooth out the underperformers at year-end. Shares in Uniper, TUI and FlatexDEGIRO have slumped between 40% and 90% this year, but there are bright spots for 2023.

Investors increasingly look at the big losers in heavily sold markets because the size of the markdowns identifies potential for the future. Often shares fall because of the general market weakness, but sometimes the operating business also weighs heavy. At the end of the year, there is also "tax-loss selling", especially in North America. We look at some stocks that have suffered significant losses but could now take off again.
