The stock market environment for growth stocks has clouded over significantly. Rising inflation, growing interest rates and fears of a recession are causing uncertainty among investors. If, as many experts suspect, inflation is significantly curbed in 2023, the headwind for growth stocks should ease. The first investors are already speculating on this. They are taking advantage of the opportunity to add growth stocks to their portfolios, which will then take off again in the future. As an investor, it is important to ask yourself whether you are prepared to hold a stock for at least 10 years. After all, it often takes a long time to become a stock market star that generates high profits. Today we look at three companies that have what it takes to bring joy to their shareholders in the future.

Defense Metals, Thyssenkrupp, Rheinmetall - New problems with critical raw materials

  • Mining
  • RareEarths
  • Defense

Many people are currently suffering from high energy costs, which are also affecting companies. Some of their products are becoming significantly more expensive as a result. Added to this is the smoldering trade conflict between the USA and China. Most recently, Nvidia was no longer allowed to export two of its chips to China. China and Russia are rich in raw materials and, in some cases, have a monopoly. There are already many critical metals whose demand can currently only be met by China. The most important of these are rare earths, over 90% of which are processed in China. The EU and the US are trying to become more independent but are encountering new problems. The critical metals industry urgently needs new skilled workers. In many companies, experienced engineers have long since reached retirement age. There is an acute need for action here.

Edison Lithium, Rock Tech Lithium, BYD - Shares of the entire lithium value chain

  • Mining
  • Lithium
  • Electromobility

Since all car companies have entered the e-mobility market, the demand for batteries for electric vehicles has skyrocketed. An all-out battle has broken out for the components needed for this, which is reflected above all in the price of lithium. While the price was around USD 5,000 per ton at the end of 2020, it was most recently quotes around USD 73,000. Experts even consider further price increases up to USD 100,000 possible because demand is significantly higher than supply. The German Federal Institute for Geosciences and Natural Resources also comes to this conclusion. The lithium market promises to remain exciting in the coming years. Therefore, today we look at three companies along the value chain.

TUI, Viva Gold, Steinhoff - Bombed-out shares with doubling potential

  • Mining
  • Gold

  • Investments

August 26 was another black Friday on the stock markets. All indices suffered heavy losses. The reason was the speech by US Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell, in which he declared the FED's intention to let interest rates rise further to fight inflation. That, in turn, puts the ECB under pressure because the strength of the US dollar ensures rising export figures, but at the same time, everything within the EU is more expensive that has to be paid in USD. For example, the gold price also came under immediate pressure on Friday. It is a good time to look at second-tier stocks, which have been under a lot of pressure lately and are therefore cheap. We look at the strengths and weaknesses of three interesting stocks.

BYD, Altech Advanced Materials, Varta - Is hydrogen displacing e-mobility?

  • Electromobility
  • Technology
  • Batteries

Chancellor Scholz was in Canada with Economics Minister Habeck to secure gas and hydrogen for the future. According to CEO Oliver Zipse, BMW is looking into series production of hydrogen cars. These are alarm signals for the producers of batteries for electric vehicles. Until recently, the electric drive was the preferred option in the passenger car market. The disadvantages are the long charging times, the low range and safety aspects. The hydrogen drive can score points, especially in terms of charging times. If the electric drive is to maintain its lead, the batteries in electric cars must become more efficient. Today, we look at three companies trying to solve the problems of rechargeable batteries.

Precious metals producer Manuka Resources facing transformation, what are Barrick Gold and Newmont doing?

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • Copper

The precious metals gold and silver were able to start a rally with the beginning of the Ukraine crisis. With high inflation rates, gold was supposed to be the safe haven, but the strength of the US dollar and interest rate hikes pushed the gold price back down. Additionally, according to Wirtschaftswoche, Ukraine sold USD 12.4 billion worth of gold, more than the country officially owned. However, since gold bounced up at the important USD 1,680 level and was also able to break the downtrend line, now might be the time for gold. Today we look at the two big players, as well as an emerging precious metals producer.

ProSiebenSat.1 Media, Aspermont, Netflix - Is the turnaround in media stocks coming?

  • Media

Since the fear of recession has been spreading, media shares have been under pressure. The assumption is that when the recession comes, companies will cut costs, and cutting marketing costs is the easiest way to do that. That means less advertising revenue for the media. Yet a company should advertise precisely when things are going badly. But this wisdom from business administration and marketing courses has still not arrived in many executive suites. But the price declines in many media stocks can also offer attractive entry opportunities. Today, we take a closer look at three companies in the sector.

BYD, First Hydrogen, Lufthansa - Mobility stocks in check

  • Hydrogen
  • Mobility
  • Electromobility

Mobility is a basic need in modern civilization. If people are not mobile, social life suffers. In addition, the internal combustion engine is to be replaced. Which drive will finally prevail in the coming years is still not clear. Electric or hydrogen? The latter, in particular, is experiencing a new hype and is catching up. We take a look at three mobility-related stocks.

Daimler Truck, dynaCERT, Nikola - Which transportation stocks are taking off?

  • Electromobility
  • Hydrogen

The transportation industry faces many challenges. These were addressed on July 15 at the 15th Truck Symposium, hosted at Nürburgring. Here, 110 experts discussed staff shortages, lack of parking spaces and new drive concepts. The latter is still the subject of controversial debate. Are fully electric transport vehicles the future, or will the hydrogen fuel cell prevail? The fact is that the transport industry must significantly reduce its emissions by 2030. Today, we look at three companies that offer solutions for lower CO2 emissions.
