TUI, Saturn Oil + Gas, Plug Power - Three shares with doubling potential

  • Mining
  • Oil
  • renewableenergies
  • Travel

Finding shares with doubling potential requires a thorough analysis. On the one hand, the company's sector should have growth potential. If the sector is innovative, that also speaks in favour of the share. Then, a look at the competitors is important to see if the company is well positioned. If both factors fit, one should take a closer look at the candidate's finances. If you can tick off several items on this checklist, it is worth taking a closer look at the chart technique. Today we look at three candidates that have what it takes to double their share prices, at least in the long term.

Alibaba, Alpina Holdings, NIO - Buy Asian stocks now?

The ECB has so far failed to keep pace with the US in terms of interest rate hikes. The reward for this was inflation of 8.7% in Germany in January. The value is expected to remain at this level in February. The Federal Statistical Office recently made changes to the shopping basket and used 2020 instead of 2015 as the base year for the calculation. The high energy prices, especially in Germany, are causing great uncertainty in industry. BASF has already decided to invest several billion euros in China. There have been positive impulses for the economy from China since the easing of the Corona measures. An economic upswing could be imminent here. Reason enough to take a closer look at three companies from Asia.

BYD, First Hydrogen, Daimler Truck - Battle of the drive systems

  • Hydrogen
  • greenhydrogen
  • Electromobility

In recent years, the debate about the future of mobility has focused heavily on conventional passenger cars. Yet it is commercial vehicles that are responsible for the majority of emissions. Here, the competition between electromobility and hydrogen as drive systems for trucks and vans is now moving into the focus of the discussion. While electromobility has been on the rise for several years, hydrogen is also gaining in importance as an alternative drive system. In contrast to batteries, fuel cell vehicles can achieve a significantly greater range with hydrogen. Another advantage of hydrogen as a propulsion system is the short refueling time. Today, we look at three companies that are taking different approaches.

K+S, Tocvan Ventures, Rock Tech Lithium - Shares with doubling potential

  • Mining
  • Lithium
  • Gold
  • fertilizer

On February 22, the meeting of the US Federal Reserve FED will take place. The results are eagerly awaited, as economic data have recently been mixed and difficult to interpret. The Consumer Confidence Index recently climbed significantly. However, since inflation has fallen less than expected, this could point to another interest rate hike. Rising interest rates are bad for the equity markets, as some investors may prefer to put their money into US government bonds. Regardless of the news, some stocks offer great potential at current levels. We take a closer look at three of these stocks today.

What is next for gold? Since the beginning of November, gold prices have risen rapidly by over USD 300. Inflation figures in the US fell significantly during these months. Last week, therefore, all eyes were again on the inflation data in the US. Inflation fell in January, but not as much as experts had expected. Interest rate fears are already spreading again, pushing the indices down. If interest rates continue to rise, this will draw investors away from the gold market. However, state banks continue to buy gold. In January, Turkey purchased 68 tons of gold. We take a closer look at three gold companies.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, Endeavour Mining - Is the gold price getting wings?

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • Inflation

On Valentine's Day, all eyes were on the US inflation rate for January. The inflation rate in the US was 6.4%, 0.1% better than in December. However, analysts had expected only 6.2%. That is because gold is sensitive to interest rates. This scenario was well observed last year when the gold price was pushed down as interest rates rose. Now, with signs of a decline in inflation, the gold price was able to rise to almost USD 1,960 by the beginning of February. It remains to be seen how the FED will react to the new numbers. We look at three gold companies today.

Nel ASA, dynaCERT, Plug Power - Hydrogen as the problem solver in the energy transition

  • Hydrogen
  • greenhydrogen
  • renewableenergies

Hydrogen is essential to the energy transition because it can solve many of today's problems. One of these problems is that wind and solar energy are difficult to plan. Since they produce irregularly, the surplus on sunny days or windy days must be stored. This is how green hydrogen is produced, which can solve the problem of fossil fuels in the field of mobility solutions. Current electric solutions are not yet convincing, especially for freight transport, but this is where most CO2 is produced. With hydrogen, vehicles have more range and, most importantly, shorter charging times. We look at three companies that have built their business using hydrogen.

What do metal alloys, magnets, phosphors, ceramics, glass, catalysts and chemical processes need to function well? Rare earths - a critical raw material that is primarily processed in China. Without this raw material, there are no smartphones, computers, wind turbines or electric vehicles. There have been tensions between China and the United States for some time. If these tensions escalate and China stops its rare earth supplies, the Western world will have a problem. As demand for rare earths continues to rise, it is important to ensure sufficient supplies to meet the growing demands of the technology industry.

BioNTech, Pfizer, Cardiol Therapeutics, Bayer - Biotech stocks facing a revival?

  • Biotechnology

The BIO Deutschland association represents the German biotech industry. According to an announcement on January 18, financing of biotech companies plummeted by 2/3 in 2022. Overall, the sector raised only EUR 920 million in equity. During the Corona pandemic, many biotech stocks did well. Subsequently, profit-taking occurred and rising interest rates put additional pressure on stocks. That could change in 2023. Meanwhile, some companies are valued low, and so these companies appear on the radar of investors from the United States. According to Handelsblatt, Water Street, an investment company focused on pharma and biotech, has already invested EUR 1 billion, mainly in Germany. A total of EUR 6 billion is to be invested.
