Alibaba, Almonty Industries, Shell - Shares with conspicuous strength in the crisis

  • Tungsten
  • Oil
  • ecommerce

The past week was tough for many investors. First, the ECB declared on Wednesday to raise interest rates, and on Friday, it was announced that the inflation rate in the US rose to 8.6% in May. As a result of these events, the markets collapsed and a number of blue chips suffered, in some cases significantly. But even in the weak phases, some shares buck the general market trend, which is a clear sign of strength. When the market as a whole turns around, it is precisely these stocks that often benefit disproportionately. We have picked out three companies that have held up well in the falling market environment and look closely at their future prospects.

BioNTech, NervGen Pharma, Valneva - Which stock will make the breakthrough in incurable diseases?

  • Biotechnology

The number of cancer patients increases every year, and only if the disease is detected at an early stage might a cure still be possible. With other diseases such as multiple sclerosis or Alzheimer's, there is no chance of a cure at all. The deterioration progresses slowly and unstoppably. COVID-19 has also shown us how vulnerable humanity is to a virus. But many biotech companies have taken up the fight against these diseases. Any drug that can stop the progression of these diseases would help those affected. Many biotech stocks have corrected significantly recently. Today we take a look at three companies and their existing potential against incurable diseases.

BP, Desert Gold, Livent - Gold stocks from different sectors

  • Gold
  • Oil
  • Lithium
  • Mining

Why are BP and Livent gold stocks, some readers may ask? The answer is simple, because the gold term is being used for more and more commodities, especially as prices have skyrocketed. Such is the case with oil, the black gold, and lithium, the white gold. "Real" gold, on the other hand, has fallen back to the USD 1850 range after its breakout with the onset of the Ukraine crisis. So which gold should you put your money in now? We take a look at one Company from each sector.

Bayer, Globex Mining, RWE - Diversified shares perform strongly in tough times

  • Commodities
  • Diversification

Going all-in is extremely risky on the stock market. Because in the long run, you are not always right with your estimates, so a poor trade can quickly tear down the good performance. For example, a better approach would be to diversify the portfolio, spreading the investment over 10 different companies. Two big winners are enough to more than absorb several total losses. Those who want even more security can add stocks to their portfolio that are already diversified. Today we will take a closer look at three companies of this kind.

ThyssenKrupp, Defense Metals, Rheinmetall - Defense stocks as portfolio boosters?

  • armaments
  • Defense

The Ukraine crisis has been with us for over three months now. While many stocks went downhill at the beginning of the war, the situation was quite different for defense stocks. Here the quotations increased sometimes significantly. Of course, every investor has to clarify the moral question for himself. But if you want to invest your money in defense stocks, a few points speak in favor of an investment. On the one hand, there is the trend toward more defense spending, which has continued year after year since 2014. Second, confidence in Russia has been permanently shaken, and it will take years, if not decades, to repair the damage. We look at three companies that manufacture products for the defense industry.

Nvidia, Aspermont, Alibaba - Shares with doubling potential

  • Digitization
  • Technology
  • Fintech
  • Mining

Surely no one would object to doubling their investment. But after the stock market has been in rally mode since 2016, few stocks would have been expected to double in 2022. Meanwhile, some stocks have started to slide due to the Ukraine crisis, supply chain problems, and rising interest rates. Discounts of up to 50% can be observed even in large stocks. Today we go bargain hunting and analyze the potential of three different companies.

Nordex, Saturn Oil + Gas, JinkoSolar - Energy shares with potential

  • Oil
  • renewableenergies

The hunger for energy is increasing worldwide. The Ukraine crisis has further fueled this situation. Germany in particular is under pressure in this respect after the nuclear phase-out. Renewable energies are supposed to solve the problems, but they are not yet ready. A gas embargo would have dire economic consequences for Germany and is currently not possible. Here, too, we can see that the end of fossil fuels is still some way in the future. China and India are reportedly buying cheap oil from Russia at the moment. That is currently not depressing the oil price, as demand is too great. Today we look at a company from each sector: wind power, oil, and solar energy.

Barrick Gold, Barsele Minerals, Newmont - Gold stocks are under pressure

  • Gold

With the start of the Ukraine crisis, the gold price rallied and came close to all-time highs. However, gold was then subsequently sold off again. The reason could be that the Russian currency is backed by gold. If one wants to sanction Russia, one must care for a falling gold price. If Russia lacks money, it would have to sell its gold, which would also put pressure on the gold price. The second theory is contradicted by the fact that the Russian central bank continued to buy gold at the end of March, albeit below the market price. The situation on the gold market should relax when the Ukraine conflict ends. Therefore, it is now time to look for the right gold company.
