Born in Munich, he first studied economics and graduated in business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 1995. As he was involved with the stock market at a very early stage, he now has more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets. In the historic dot.com year 2000, he trained as a CEFA analyst in Frankfurt and has since then accompanied over 20 IPOs in Germany.

Until 2018, he held various positions at banks as an asset manager, capital market and macro expert as well as fundamental equity analyst. He is passionate about the energy, commodity and technology markets as well as the tactical and strategic asset allocation of liquid investment products. As an expert speaker at investment committee meetings of funds as well as at customer events, he can still describe the course of the 1987 crash, one of the major buying opportunities of the last 33 years on the stock market.

Today, he knows that the profit in shares is not necessarily the result of buying cheaply, but above all of avoiding mistakes and recognizing in good time when markets are ready to let air out. After all, in addition to basic fundamental analysis, investing in stocks is above all a phenomenon of global liquidity and this must be monitored regularly.

Coinbase, Plug Power, NSJ Gold Corp. - Bitcoin, inflation, gold - triple whammy!

  • Gold

The crypto craze has erupted. Nothing is currently causing as much of a stir as cryptocurrencies, their trading platforms and all the service companies surrounding them. Never before have there been such price surges in associated assets in such a short period. There is widespread talk of the crypto world as a means to combat inflation and provide a new payment system. Let's be honest: a currency that fluctuates by more than 500% every six months is hardly suitable for mapping the payment flows of millions of transactions in the goods sector. A Bitcoin that cost EUR 10,000 in the summer of 2020 has reached prices of over EUR 50,000 today. How should one deal with this alleged "currency" - Impossible, as Bitcoin itself is probably inflationary!

Osino Resources, Barrick Gold, Sibanye Stillwater - Gold in Turnaround!

  • Gold

The large gold producers are left lying in the current environment. What counts on the capital markets is the slight inflation, which one gladly accepts, because the economies have been suffering for years from the prescribed minus interest rate and deflationary tendencies. In other stock market cycles, demonetization phases were always good times for the precious metals; this is not yet evident at present. After the significant correction in March 2020, there were sharp rises in mining stocks until late summer 2020, but a large part of the gains will gradually melt away again in 2021. Is there still hope for the precious metals?

Yamana Gold, Goldseek Resources, First Majestic: Bet on gold & silver now!

  • Gold

Constantly tapping into the price of gold & silver seems to be a fashion. One gets the oppressive feeling that there is an endless letters page in the exchange-traded precious metals as an observer. However, this is only partly true. In paper or derivative form, there are a great many issuers who bring gold and silver to market in the form of margin deposits, entitlements or debentures. Physical metal is traded only on futures exchanges in the form of futures, these must be delivered at some point, but usually, the maturing contracts are rolled on. If you believe the outlets selling physical gold and silver, this market has been empty for years because larger quantities cannot be ordered.

Kleos Space, Airbus SE, SAP SE - Buy space high-tech now!

  • Space

Three themes combined: big data - artificial intelligence - satellite technology. Cathie Wood, a world-renowned fund manager, is the CEO and CIO of ARK Invest, which runs the three highest-yielding equity ETFs of the past three years. According to the Wall Street Journal, her latest product, ARKX Space Exploration, raised a whopping USD 536 million in its first five days of trading. Cathie Wood's newly launched and exchange-traded fund, which focuses on investments in space exploration, is thus well on its way to becoming one of the most successful fund launches in history. The figures far exceed the industry average of all ETFs, which raised an average of USD 100 million in the first 3 years. We take a closer look at possible target investments for the fund.

BioNTech, Formycon, Psybio Therapeutics: A chance for normality?

  • Biotechnology

It is a matter of course: The desire for normality! Things have not been normal over the last 12 months, which everyone is now feeling. Our society has had a lot to shoulder since the turn of the millennium. The extreme increase in radicalism, the emergence of dangerous dictators and incompetent politicians, the polarization of beliefs, the explosive development of wealth in shares and real estate owners with simultaneous global impoverishment, the excessive indebtedness of the states, and now, a worldwide pandemic of unimagined proportions. It takes a good deal of imagination to believe in a "normalization" and then a more philosophical question quickly arises: What does an economic reality with and after the pandemic look like?

Steinhoff, Carnival, The Place Holdings - Get in now?

  • Investments

The market wants to go up seemingly endlessly - no more setbacks? The question arises again about the shares that have fallen behind. Some stocks have not yet been swept upwards in the general pull - perhaps for good reason. The stock market currently loves momentum. What rises usually rises further and further. Valuation has long ceased to play a role because with negative interest rates the whole financial theory is somehow undermined. In the past, an interest rate was always assumed to calculate company values or risks, which has been obsolete for 3 years, namely zero.

Barrick Gold, Triumph Gold, Gazprom - Goodbye crypto, the gold rebound is coming!

  • Gold

The investment in precious metals is generally referred to as long-term asset protection. An ounce of gold has gained almost 500% since 2005, and when averaged over a year, this provides a return of 9.6%. Stocks have risen by an average of 9.2% per year since 2009, while bonds, as measured by the Bund future, are trading at a 100-year high with negative yields and a negative interest rate in real terms. Real estate in good locations has more than tripled in value over the past 20 years. The inclined observer asks himself today, with which assets can one still achieve a real increase in wealth? Away from the capital markets, we recommend selected paintings and sprightly vintage cars, but 5-10% should flow into gold and silver, in part physically too, of course.

Infineon, Airbus, Lufthansa, Almonty Industries - High-tech is the bottleneck!

  • Tungsten

In order to limit global warming, the world must become climate-neutral. For this, it will require removing billions of tons of CO2 from the atmosphere and storing it. Meanwhile, the Corona pandemic raises entirely different problems. Planned investments in research and development cannot be carried out as planned due to a lack of raw materials and the supply of certain necessary resources. Primarily, this affects high-tech manufacturers, but even basic technologies can only be developed with difficulty. We shed light on the facets of an economy trying to move a great deal, but with a giant brake block in front of it.

Nel ASA, dynaCERT, FuelCell Energy - Hydrogen, the second wave!

  • Hydrogen

The hydrogen hype is entering its second wave. The reason is undoubtedly the current draft resolution of the Joe Biden package in favor of the global climate goals. This package contains an investment sum of several hundred billion US dollars to lower climate damaging emissions. The market will decide whether battery or hydrogen technology will play a greater role here; the only important thing is that the funds for the start of the research projects are released quickly. Time is pressing because the pandemic has put many industries on the sidelines. The transport industry, in particular, depends on the sale of goods, and in the future, this should take place without any negative environmental impact.

SKRR Exploration, First Majestic Silver, Millennial Lithium - Commodities in demand as never before!

  • Commodities

Commodity prices are spiraling upwards almost daily. The demand for industrial metals is higher than it has been for the last 10 years, and it seems that industrial companies can hardly save themselves from orders despite the pandemic. Yesterday was also a day for precious metals, and they were able to gain 1-2% across the board. In gold, the critical line around USD 1,680 has recently held again, and now the market is trying to take out the upper boundary lines at USD 1,790 and USD 1,835. Due to the omnipresent inflation, the spark should also finally jump in gold. The other metal prices have long since followed the global inflation.
