Born in Munich, he first studied economics and graduated in business administration at the Ludwig-Maximilians-University in 1995. As he was involved with the stock market at a very early stage, he now has more than 30 years of experience in the capital markets. In the historic dot.com year 2000, he trained as a CEFA analyst in Frankfurt and has since then accompanied over 20 IPOs in Germany.
Until 2018, he held various positions at banks as an asset manager, capital market and macro expert as well as fundamental equity analyst. He is passionate about the energy, commodity and technology markets as well as the tactical and strategic asset allocation of liquid investment products. As an expert speaker at investment committee meetings of funds as well as at customer events, he can still describe the course of the 1987 crash, one of the major buying opportunities of the last 33 years on the stock market.
Today, he knows that the profit in shares is not necessarily the result of buying cheaply, but above all of avoiding mistakes and recognizing in good time when markets are ready to let air out. After all, in addition to basic fundamental analysis, investing in stocks is above all a phenomenon of global liquidity and this must be monitored regularly.

Gazprom, Memiontec, E.ON, Siemens Energy - Water is the oil of tomorrow!
In the mind of current politics, the world of tomorrow is supposed to get by without oil and petroleum products. Modern fuels with fewer emissions and the abandonment of plastic packaging could reduce the amount of oil and plastic products needed. But with this line of thinking, all countries would have to act in unison and put the petrochemical industry on the sidelines. Whether this will result in less plastic ending up in the Pacific remains questionable, but we are already experiencing one effect: a noticeable increase in the price of all energy and utility services. Green policies are nice, but they slow down economic performance considerably. Who will benefit from the long-term policy choices?

Tembo Gold, BioNTech, Valneva, MorphoSys - Turnaround or crash?
At the beginning of the year, there is much talk about the seemingly eternally running stock markets and the infinite wealth of those who have done everything right. Of course, shorting Tesla was a risk; it went wrong 85% of the time. However, since the "minutes" of the Federal Reserve, it is perhaps not a new short with the announcement. Because interest rates will probably have to rise once the tapering gets going. Incidentally, opinions are divided on the inflation trend: some banks estimate a 1 before the decimal point, others see a 5. So what now? Interest rates up mean problems for growth stocks; interest rates down could mean a continuation of the bull market. We take a look at interesting shares with their own stories.

Varta, Nordex, Kodiak Copper: The 100% opportunity with copper in 2022!
The climate decisions made in Glasgow in November are casting their shadows far ahead. It is becoming clear to the protagonists: electromobility and efficient electricity storage are increasingly important for the energy transition. Consistent decarbonization requires research, development and production of drives, batteries and components. The red conducting metal copper is an essential component of electrical components of all kinds. Today, an e-drive vehicle requires three to four times the amount of copper as an internal combustion model, plus the great demand in industrial manufacturing processes. The earth's reserves are exhaustible, and copper, in particular, is pretty much on the edge. We take a look at some interesting investment opportunities.

Nvidia, BrainChip, Daimler, Infineon - Not only Tesla can build e-cars!
Intelligent and powerful chips remain in demand like road salt in the depths of winter. The supply chains are still struggling, and the scarce raw materials are increasing the cost prices. As a result, prices for high-tech materials will continue to skyrocket in the new year. The car manufacturers will probably be hit hardest, as it will not be possible to raise prices at will, especially in Europe, because of foreign competition. Innovation could be an effective means of combating the erosion of margins. We present a few innovative ideas for investors.

Alibaba, Aspermont, TeamViewer - This is where the action is in 2022!
Whoever owns the information has the power! Chinese regulators have long known how important the availability of sensitive data is nowadays. That puts Asian tech companies in a difficult position, as they want to grow mindlessly by Western standards and shy away from heavy public scrutiny. Traffic on social media channels is quasi-public; the platform operator processes it even with T&C consent. For companies like Meta (ex Facebook), this has become the prominent business model. We look at three interesting technology companies that have their data under control.

Nel, Plug Power, First Hydrogen, FuelCell Energy - Hydrogen versus Tesla!
The year 2021 must be defined as the real dawn of electric mobility. Worldwide, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of electric vehicles sold. According to Statista, the shares of the total German passenger car population in 2021 rose to no less than 1.22% of registered vehicles. 3 years earlier, it was only 0.25%. There has been real movement in the new registration figures, with the share of hybrid and purely electric vehicles now at 6.9% and 6.7%, respectively. Therefore, the number of e-vehicles will gradually increase, as every 16th newly registered vehicle no longer has an internal combustion engine. However, after the 2021 climate conference in Glasgow, there was another political commitment to a progressive technology: hydrogen propulsion!

Alerio Gold, Steinhoff, Windeln.de - Get rich with penny stocks or Tesla?
Elon Musk currently has a calculated net worth of about USD 280 billion, which has increased by about 80% in 2021 alone. When it comes to capital assets, this makes him the wealthiest person in the world. In 2021, he sold about 15.6 million Tesla shares with an equivalent value of USD 16.4 billion. The situation is hugely bizarre from several angles. For one, Musk had put the tax-motivated sale of shares in the electric carmaker to a vote on the Twitter platform in early November. The majority of users favored a sale in support of empty state coffers. What was interesting about this event was the reaction of the Tesla share because, after a brief dip, it went to new highs despite the continued sales of the major shareholder. This oddity was certainly a historical marker of the stock market year 2021.

Royal Dutch, Saturn Oil + Gas, Bayer: The oil price and the pandemic in 2022
COVID-19 is a black swan for the economy, but does the pandemic favor lower or higher oil prices? Not an easy determination because, for one thing, the measures to contain the pandemic significantly lower economic activity. Production delays and supply chain failures occur, so oil demand should fall there. On the other hand, a shortage of inputs and constraints in logistics lead to higher delivery and waiting times, thus creating some hoarding pressure, which increases demand for the black gold. Due to the shortness of history, the actual connection is also little researched, i.e. how it really is could remain hidden from us for some time. Who benefits from the current cycle of price increases?

Allianz, Prospect Ridge Resources, Amazon - Who will follow Tesla in 2022?
The stock market year 2021 will go down in history as a record year. In the elite group of the five largest technology companies, the so-called FAANGs, Alphabet and Apple are on track to deliver the best returns to investors this year. Shares of the digital advertising giant and parent company of the Google search engine are up more than 70% this year, while the iPhone maker is up 39%. After a rally in recent days, however, the shares of Nvidia and Tesla are at the top of the NDX with +164 and 82%, respectively. These results have come in an environment where many companies have struggled with supply chain disruptions, labor shortages and rising material costs. Can this even be topped in 2022?

BioNTech, Pfizer, Defence Therapeutics, Valneva - The Corona year 2022 is coming
The German government has moved its goal of vaccinating 80% of the population against the coronavirus at least once into the new year. The targeted quota is now to be achieved by the end of January, a government spokesman told the press. The background is that only 73.4% of the population has been vaccinated so far, and the missing 5.3 million first-time vaccinations could hardly be achieved by January 7. The interim goal of 30 million vaccinations by the end of the year, on the other hand, will most likely be met after Christmas, government sources say. The general vaccination obligation is to come on the agenda of the Federal Parliament in the first meeting week in the new year. Thus also the year 2022 will stand under the star "Corona". The following shares are part of the orchestra.
