E-mobility 2023: The Tesla hunters are coming! BYD, Lucid Motors, Tocvan Ventures. Will the Varta share now also fly?

It Is hard to believe! The Tesla share is once again making a name for itself. Analysts went into the presentation of the annual figures with cautious expectations because there were many negative rumors surrounding Elon Musk's electronics company: Fewer sales? Cars on stockpile? Again, it came as no one had expected it. Elon Musk delivered and simultaneously mocked all the shorties who wanted to push his stock below USD 100 at the turn of the year. This gambit went badly wrong because Tesla was able to deliver even better figures than expected, and there was no stopping the share. With plus 70% in only 4 weeks, the Tesla share belongs to the shooting stars since the turn of the year - the short sellers must have lost their desire completely. But the variety of interesting shares is significant. Where are the opportunities for e-investors lurking?

Are shares related to electromobility among the price rockets of 2023? In any case, the start of the year was promising. After a partially disastrous second half of 2022, many stocks are showing strength in the new year. Lithium shares, in particular, are in demand again. Among the high flyers of recent months is American Lithium. After the Nasdaq listing and the planned spin-off of the uranium division, investors are eagerly awaiting the feasibility study. Will the share price fireworks continue? Analysts also expect such fireworks at Auxico Resources. They believe that the share price of the trader of rare earths and critical raw materials could almost triple. Hydrogen pioneer Plug Power has also bounced back in the new year. But once again, the US company has disappointed operationally. How do investors react?

Central and Northern Europe are firmly enveloped in wintry temperatures. BASF AG's balance sheet is just as frosty as the current weather because its subsidiary Wintershall Dea is no longer doing business with Russia. The consequence for BASF is a minus of EUR 1.4 billion. Business is entirely different for RWE, with the figures exceeding analyst expectations. Thanks to the commodity trading division, the Company is doing exceptionally well, so DZ Bank has set RWE at "Buy" with a fair value of EUR 53 per share. Valuable raw materials such as oil and gas are extracted by the Canadian company of the same name, Saturn Oil & Gas. Thanks to a new takeover, their production potential has increased by a whopping 140%.

One of Norway's largest financial services companies is increasing its equity stake in Plug Power, the US hydrogen fuel cell company. The reason: Nikola Motors has selected the Company to upgrade its new e-mobility fleet with clean fuel cells. Freyr Battery also has similar ambitions. Here, Impact Clean Power Technology, the Polish manufacturer of battery systems for heavy-duty vehicles, has signed an agreement with Freyr to purchase clean batteries. Both big deals have one thing in common: demand for rare earths and valuable metals to make green technologies a reality. That is where Auxico Resources, a mineral exploration company focused on Africa, comes in.

Besides the raging war in Ukraine, the discussion about the energy industry of the future accompanies us daily. It has already been decided that renewable energies such as wind power and photovoltaics will be the way forward. Likewise, the move away from the internal combustion engine to battery-powered electric motors is in the bag. But the implementation problems will be with us over the next few years. Where will producers get the raw materials that are already in short supply? Another critical issue is energy storage. Here, too, there is an increasing demand for a raw material that is currently produced primarily in Russia and China.

Last generation upswing 2023? TUI, Lufthansa, Alerio Gold, Aurelius - opportunities upon opportunities!

  • Travel

The year 2023 has shown its friendly side in the first weeks. Despite highs in the indices, however, there is light and shade. For example, the Association for Consumer Research (ACR) recently found in a survey that consumers in Germany are entering the new year with significantly more confidence in economic development. This means that the ACR consumer climate index has risen for the fourth time in succession. The propensity to buy things nevertheless remains at a very low level. The new purchases indicator thus fell by 2.4 points to minus 18.7 points. Uncertainty in the face of crises and inflation remains very pronounced, with many households expecting significantly higher heating bills in the coming months. Many are putting money aside for this, which is now not being used for other expenses. However, shares are being bought, and we give a few examples.

The international community sees an urgent need to make electricity generation carbon-free to protect people and the planet from the dangers of air pollution and climate change. To be able to cover this with sustainable energy, nuclear energy is essential, in addition to the expansion of wind and solar power. With the exception of Germany, the largest industrialized countries are focusing on building new reactors. However, due to the sanctions against Russia, increasing demand is being met by an insufficient supply of uranium. The beneficiaries of this shortage are uranium producers from Western countries.

Will Bayer be broken up, or will triple-digit share prices beckon? According to media reports, more and more investors are calling for the former. Most recently, Bluebell Capital Partners. According to the Bloomberg news agency, the British investor is calling on the DAX-listed Company to separate its Crop Science and Pharmaceuticals divisions. This could lead to a 70% increase in value for shareholders. Analysts also see considerable share price potential and believe that triple-digit prices are possible. Gold is also shining again. However, this has yet to be realized by exploration companies in particular. Experts see the chance of a revaluation at Desert Gold, for example - through takeover fantasy and drilling results. Besides B2Gold, Barrick Gold also comes into question as a buyer. The industry leader is also recommended as a buy, despite weakening Q4 results.

  • Electromobility

The tension is rising. How will the annual figures of the industry leader in e-mobility, Tesla, really turn out now? By the end of 2022, there was a 70% slump in the share, and Elon Musk, the founder, had USD 100 billion less in the account within 8 weeks. He himself was to blame because in order to finance the Twitter takeover, he had to part with Tesla shares. For the year 2023, we are now interested in the expectations that will be placed on e-mobility. The fact is that many countries, including Germany, are now gradually withdrawing subsidies. So the new mobility must now learn to walk by itself. Where are the opportunities for investors?
