Top news: BYD, Bayer and Globex Mining
Bayer shocked investors yesterday with the announcement of its dividend cut, which shouldn't have been much of a surprise. The Company is burdened with high debt, endless legal fines, and an empty pharmaceutical pipeline. In an initial reaction, analysts have lowered the share price target. BYD, on the other hand, is doing well operationally. Only the share price is not picking up. Will a share buyback turn the share price around? For those who want to profit from the commodity boom with reduced risk, then Globex Mining's stock is attractive. The news flow is strong, and those who act quickly can still register and follow the live presentation of the mining incubator at the 10th International Investment Forum, IIF, today.

Renk, Manuka Resources, and Airbus with explosive news
Germany's leading index, the DAX, managed to surpass the 17,000-point mark significantly this week, reaching a new all-time high at 17,198.50 points. After a weak IPO year in Germany in 2023, in which only three companies dared to go public, the Renk Group set an exclamation mark with a rocket launch. Whether the high level of the DAX can be maintained will also depend on Allianz, Fresenius and Heidelberg Materials, which will publish their figures for the past financial year in the coming week.

The next upward wave is underway - Coinbase, Desert Gold Ventures, Infineon
The opinions of so-called experts vary widely regarding the largest cryptocurrency on the planet. After Bitcoin marked a new interim high of over USD 48,000 at the beginning of the year, disillusionment followed with a correction of 20%. While crash prophets are already predicting the end of decentralized digital currency, for others, such as star manager Cathie Wood, Bitcoin is "one of the most important investments of our lifetime". However, not only cryptocurrencies offer unique opportunities; other asset classes affected by the correction also offer significant potential.

BASF, Desert Gold, PayPal: Creating growth and value with the circular economy
BASF and Iveco are planning a partnership for the battery recycling of electric vehicles. This will fill a gaping hole in the economic cycle of e-mobility. Raw materials such as lithium and gold are only available in limited quantities and are increasing in value. The explorer company Desert Gold Ventures stands out in the robust precious metals business with promising gold projects in Africa. The Desert Gold Venture site holds mineral resources of 8.47 million tons, with a gold content of 1.14 g/t, equivalent to 310,300 ounces. Gold is mainly used in the jewellery industry. Digital payments have now established themselves as a currency. In this industry, the new PayPal CEO, Alex Chriss, is leading the technology platform into the next growth phase with a strongly customer-oriented strategy. The upcoming financial results on February 7 could provide new impetus for investors. Three industries, three perspectives - BASF, Desert Gold and PayPal offer different opportunities for investors seeking innovative growth and value preservation.

Total sell-off in hydrogen! Nel ASA, Manuka Resources, Plug Power - Find the 300% pearl now
The topic of hydrogen has been put on the back burner for the time being. Although the COP28 conference in Dubai showed a broad consensus on reducing greenhouse gases and avoiding fossil fuels, the OPEC countries, in particular, insist on their traditional right to continue tapping into the abundant oil wells. The observers conclude that everything remains the same; each does what it does best. The transformative idea of saving the world is collectively present, but if it can be solved with nuclear energy, then nuclear reactors will be built. This also highlights how the green-dominated traffic light policy on environmental issues is perceived internationally: Teachings from Germany are only smiled at. The topic of hydrogen was politically launched in Europe and has been traded on the stock exchange as a "world energy savior" since 2019; now, investors are sitting on a 90% loss. Is there still hope?

Commerzbank, Globex Mining, Vonovia - Interest Rates, Commodities, Real Estate - Where is the most potential?
When it comes to investing one's money, investors have various options. Personal preferences and different risk tolerances play a crucial role in decision-making. Should one choose the security of a bank with fixed interest rate products, or does one venture into the potentially lucrative terrain of the commodities markets, where choices range between gold, oil and many other options? The third option would be real estate, the ownership of which is equated with value stability and protection against inflation. Experts recommend a diversified approach across these different areas to cushion fluctuations. We take a look at an interesting company from each sector.

Evotec is in the analyst check, Tui with Wanderlust, and another 100% gain for Manuka Resources?
The Evotec stock is currently not for the faint-hearted. After the resignation of the long-serving board member caused uncertainty, the biotech company was able to reassure investors with a milestone payment. Analysts are speaking out and expressing their opinions, and a real "bull" is among them. And what about Manuka Resources? At the beginning of December, news about an exciting project for battery metals caused a jump in the share price. Is it now worth getting in after the consolidation? The Tui share has also recently consolidated after a 50% gain within a few weeks. Analysts' price targets for the tourism company's shares vary widely. Hold or buy?

Bayer with a blockbuster! Vonovia weak! And how are Desert Gold shares doing?
While the DAX, Dow & Co. started the new year weakly, Bayer shares are holding up surprisingly well and can maintain the price gains from the end of 2023. The share price is being supported by positive news. A new blockbuster is waiting in the wings. Vonovia shares, on the other hand, are suffering from profit-taking, although analysts see further upside potential. Is concrete gold celebrating a comeback? And what about real gold? The price has weakened recently, but analysts believe USD 2,200 per ounce is possible, and central banks continue buying heavily. This should benefit not only the major gold producers but also low-cost explorers such as Desert Gold.

Infineon, Globex Mining, Volkswagen AG - Excellent general conditions
The year got off to a bumpy start. The DAX, Dow Jones and Co. started the first trading week of the year with losses. The fact that several traders were still on their well-earned Christmas vacations and volumes were low led to high fluctuations in both directions. Chip stocks, in particular, suffered due to a sales warning from the US. In contrast, gold and commodity stocks benefited due to their stable underlying values. This positive trend could continue after the corrections of the past year.

Donald Trump turns 2024 into a false start - This is where the action is: TUI, Lufthansa, Desert Gold and Alibaba
"If I do not become president, the stock market is in for a bigger crash than the Great Depression of 1929," proclaimed Donald Trump, the former president and Republican aspirant, at the end of the year. The assessment makes for amusing and entertaining reading and contains an important message. The economy is sluggish, war is raging in many places, and inflation is galloping. Why are stocks still trading near their all-time highs? It is the interest rate fantasy because between 4 and 7 interest rate cuts by the ECB and the Fed are expected in 2024. This will allow countries to continue their bloated and debt-financed budgets, but it will not create prosperity in the long run. Despite Trump's gloomy forecast, we look at some interesting turnaround stocks.
