BP, Triumph Gold, K+S - who offers the best trading opportunities?

  • Investments

The asset class "commodities" offers investors a broad and exciting investment universe. Especially the high cyclicality of commodity prices provides opportunities. When Gold & Co is in fashion, stocks that operate in this field often develop explosively. But also, commodities that are not among the favorites of investors at times, or are subject to strong fluctuations, such as oil & gas or potash, offer good (countercyclical) investment and trading opportunities.

Royal Helium, Xiaomi, Nikola - Everything off with hydrogen?

  • Energie

What a shock! Instead of the liberation blow comes the disillusionment for the Company Nikola, which has been under the accusation of fraud for months and wants to build trucks with fuel cell technology. Due to this news, the whole industry corrected yesterday. Hydrogen technology is a definite future trend. However, the partly overambitious turnover and profit targets for the next years have to be confirmed first. Many things remind us of the new market at the turn of the millennium.

Desert Gold, BioNTech, Vodafone - Healthier, Cleaner, Gold!

  • Investments

Asian stocks have recently faltered near their record highs, but the Nikkei, in particular, has experienced a grand rally of 15% in the last 4 weeks. Yesterday 30.11. is a popular settlement day for fund managers around the globe because from this date on you only have 1 month to clean the portfolio from unwanted components. In simple terms, stocks which ran poorly all year are likely to be sold and stocks that everyone's talking about and have performed well so far, tend to be topped up again. Among asset management experts, these measures are called "window dressing", i.e., perfecting the design of the viewing rooms in the form of a portfolio listing.

On the market as a whole, investors seem to be developing the view that the economic recovery will gain momentum next year, and this is driving some to liquidate their gold holdings - intended as a security investment - rather than to sell them. On the technical front, support for gold remains intact at around USD 1,750 to USD 1,770 an ounce. Silver continues to see massive interest near the psychological level of USD 22-23, the Technical Analysis tells us. Whether we can take this as a given at the end of the year remains to be seen; the pressure on precious metals prices is currently high.

SAF-Holland, ElringKlinger, Almonty: cyclical for the year-end rallye

  • Investments

Prices are picking up once again: Vaccination hopes and the recovery of the global economy are boosting cyclical stocks, in particular, such as the automotive industry. However, base metals are also considered a good bet in times of economic upswing. But one after the other. The shares of SAF-Holland, the commercial vehicle and camping equipment supplier, rose by more than 40% on a one-year horizon. In the past few days, it still grew by more than 7% despite a minor consolidation. While the stock was still considered a beneficiary of the trend toward camping trips after the initial lockdown, the hard facts are now providing price fantasy. When the economy is booming, commercial vehicles will be needed again, according to the market.

Defense Metals, TUI, Everfuel - these are the new stars!

  • Rare Earth Elements

Electromobility is the future. The sales figures of Tesla and HAN are rising exorbitantly month after month. Currently, orders for the latest models can only be met slowly. The demand for the materials needed to build the new types of batteries is even more serious. There is a threat of severe excess demand and sharply rising prices - from which one can profit on the stock exchange.

BIGG Digital Assets, Alibaba, Square: Crypto & Technology - the new empire makers!

  • Blockchain

Many probably did not expect such a sharp correction. After weeks of rushing upwards, the Bitcoin and the entire crypto market has let off steam. To 25.11.2020 BTC/USD reached its 52-week high of USD 19,480.50, other prominent cryptos like Ethereum, Ripple or Litecoin also stood on new high marks. However, this was probably too big a sip from the bottle, a sell-off shortly before the magic USD 20,000.00 in Bitcoin captured the entire market and led to short-term discounts of up to 50% in the side stages. Bitcoin itself corrected a temporary loss of a good USD 3,000.00 or 15% up to USD 16,300.00. Yesterday, Sunday, however, the weak phase seemed to be over again, and the most popular Internet currency climbed again by 10 percent to USD 18,100.00. If that was the correction, then there are likely still some hot weeks left in the year ahead!

Delivery Hero, wallstreet:online, flatexDEGIRO: Despite a doubling of the share price: Which share is about to be revalued?

  • Brokerage

"The trend is your friend." This stock market wisdom is quoted often. The message is simple: as long as trends continue, investors should let profits run. In the following, we present three stocks that have doubled in value within the last 12 months. The common denominator is the online business, from which the companies profit differently. Some of these companies are facing a revaluation, thanks to the scalability of their business model and expansion course. Buy and leave it - is the question for which share?

BYD, dynaCERT, NEL ASA - an ARTE report gets to the bottom of the environmental sin of electric cars

  • Electromobility

Electric cars, wind turbines or solar energy systems: Green technology promises us a clean future. But how much "greenwashing" is in the statements of companies and politicians? What is the true environmental footprint of electric cars? The investigative report "Umweltsünder E-Auto?" by Jean-Louis Perez and Guillaume Pitron for the European television channel ARTE takes a look behind the scenes, comparing Norway, the green model country, as well as dirty industrial wastelands in China or Chile. The conclusion of the film is sobering: It is not the green revolution or perpetual progress that will solve future problems, but rather sacrifice alone. However, there may be other alternatives in between.

Varta, Royal Helium, NEL ASA: After the hype is before the hype

  • Investments

The world is facing a whole series of revolutions. Digitalization is changing business models and the way we work and communicate. New energy sources are revolutionizing mobility. Between April and October, Varta's stock posted an impressive performance and generated a return of more than 150%. Recently, however, the share price has come down a little again. Reason enough to put the Company through its paces a little. Varta manufactures micro-batteries, such as those used in hearing aids or other household appliances. By the end of next year, Varta intends to expand its capacities in this area. The Company is also taking a step forward in terms of quality and plans to increase energy density further, and this is how the Company intends to stand out from the cheap competition.

Ballard Power, Varta, SolGold - Trillions of Biden!

  • Copper

Joe Biden is moving forward in the fight against climate change and wants to boost economic growth with a spending plan worth more than $5 trillion. He wants to start with the completely outdated American energy industry to generate carbon-free electricity by 2035. The plan reflects ideas that were taken up by some of Biden's more progressive allies during the primary elections, such as Jay Inslee, the governor of Washington. Perhaps this is even a point that cost Donald Trump a few votes.

In his plan, Biden promises to spend about $2 trillion over four years to promote his energy proposals, which is significantly more than he proposed during the primaries. In terms of content, he attaches great importance to modernizing American infrastructure and investing in improving the energy efficiency of buildings and housing as well as promoting environmental protection efforts in agriculture. Now that's an announcement!
