TeamViewer, wallstreet:online, Steinhoff - A lot of movement!

  • Investments

Even though the German benchmark index took it easy in the last trading days of the year, there have been some sharp fluctuations in recent months. We look at three stocks that have seen a lot of movement in these last months. Trend reversal or trend continuation? That is the crucial question.

Varta, Nel ASA, Almonty Industries: Buying opportunities for 2022?

  • Tungsten

Even though 2021 felt like it was all about COVID-19 and vaccine manufacturers such as BioNTech, Valneva and Novavax, the energy and mobility revolution was one of the dominant themes. Evidence of this is the boom in e-cars in Germany. The Association of International Motor Vehicle Manufacturers (VDIK) estimates that one in four new cars in this country will be electric in 2021. There is a good chance that hydrogen, lithium & Co. will continue to electrify investors in the coming year. Here we present three companies benefiting from the megatrends but whose share prices have come back significantly from their highs: Hydrogen specialist Nel ASA, battery pioneer Varta and future tungsten giant Almonty.

Standard Lithium, Manganese X Energy, Daimler Truck - The future of the battery

  • Electromobility

Electric cars would never have existed with the conventional lead-acid batteries popularly used in remote controls and the like. The development only became possible with the invention of lithium-ion batteries, which can be charged much more often and thus significantly increase battery life. The advantage of electric mobility is emission-free driving. The disadvantage is longer refueling times, shorter range and the need for lithium and other rare raw materials, such as manganese. It is precisely the batteries that make electromobility so expensive. It is not for nothing that Tesla is trying to push the price down to under USD 100 per kilowatt-hour. Experts expect that the prices of internal combustion and e-cars will then converge.

Nevada Copper, Nordex E.ON - What is next in 2022?

Several ingredients are needed to make the energy transition and electromobility a sustainable success. First and foremost, raw materials such as copper and lithium. Then there is a need for energy sources such as solar and wind, and finally, a suitable infrastructure. Therefore, within the megatrend, there are various starting points for profiting with corresponding shares. We have three promising stocks in our bag. Who will win the race in 2022?

S+T, Barsele Minerals, Barrick Gold - The disappointment of the year

  • Gold

While the stock markets were booming, commodities such as copper or even wood ran to new highs, thus boosting inflation. However, the precious metals silver and gold recorded double-digit price losses. Due to the perfect framework conditions with historically low interest rates, rising inflation and immensely growing national debts, not only gold disciples expected new highs and prices far above USD 2,000 per ounce. The disappointment of the year! For 2022, several interest rate hikes are now being considered by the US Federal Reserve. Poison for the glittering metals. But the past teaches us that sometimes things turn out differently than planned.

TeamViewer, Aspermont, ProSiebenSat.1 Media - Digital business models booming

  • Digitization

The Corona Crisis has shown that digital business models are booming, whereas conventional business models suffered from the lockdown. If you want to look at it positively, the crisis has led to a digitalization push and new business models. On the stock market, too, some companies are increasingly focusing on digitized business models. Today we take a closer look at three of them.

Osino Resources, Barrick, First Majestic - Winners for 2022!

  • Gold

Historically, the current gold price level of a good USD 1,800 per troy ounce can be considered high. This year, gold producers were able to post record profits. In the medium term, many things point to rising precious metal prices. Decisive framework conditions are the low-interest rate level, inflation, economic growth, the condition of the stock markets, the level of gold reserves, and the long-term production outlook.

Allianz, Prospect Ridge Resources, Amazon - Who will follow Tesla in 2022?

  • Investments

The stock market year 2021 will go down in history as a record year. In the elite group of the five largest technology companies, the so-called FAANGs, Alphabet and Apple are on track to deliver the best returns to investors this year. Shares of the digital advertising giant and parent company of the Google search engine are up more than 70% this year, while the iPhone maker is up 39%. After a rally in recent days, however, the shares of Nvidia and Tesla are at the top of the NDX with +164 and 82%, respectively. These results have come in an environment where many companies have struggled with supply chain disruptions, labor shortages and rising material costs. Can this even be topped in 2022?

BASF, Meta Materials, Siemens Gamesa - Significant acceleration

  • Technology

The stock market year 2021, an extremely successful one, is almost history. In the technology sector, chip manufacturers such as Nvidia and AMD performed particularly well, boosted by the shortage of semiconductors. Which themes will dominate the coming stock market year? In addition to cloud computing and artificial intelligence, companies focusing on new materials essential for the future are likely to benefit.

Steinhoff, Troilus Gold, Agnico Eagle - The final sprint is underway

  • Gold

The DAX, which was almost unstoppable before the Christmas holidays, is making a final sprint in the last days of the old stock market year. Investors' hopes for milder developments in the highly contagious omicron variant are pushing the stock market barometer close to the psychologically important mark of 16,000 points. What will happen next year? Many market participants already see a stronger correction ahead, and others assume new highs due to the continued cheap money. Opinions are also divided on precious metals.
