Rare earth projects outside China are in high demand, as MP Materials has demonstrated with the entry of the US government, its cooperation with Apple, and its rise to a multi-billion-dollar corporation. Is a similarly rapid share price development possible for European Lithium? In any case, the stock is currently inexpensive, and the rare earth project in Greenland is delivering strong results. Standard Lithium shares have also performed strongly again recently. And analysts believe the stock has even more upside potential. And what is D-Wave doing? After breaking through the USD 20 mark, the stock is currently consolidating. Operationally, the quantum high-flyer continues to go full throttle, and analysts remain bullish.

European Lithium: Following in the footsteps of MP Materials?

European Lithium's stock is currently performing strongly. While the Wolfberg project in Austria – Europe's first fully approved lithium mine – is taking shape, new investigations of 10 historic drill holes at the Tanbreez project in Greenland have delivered exceptionally high gallium and rare earth results.

Tanbreez is one of the world's largest hard rock deposits of rare earth elements. It is characterized by a high concentration of heavy rare-earth oxides. These are important for high-tech, clean energy, and the defense industry.

The results of 10 historical drill holes are now available, and they are impressive: Between 80 and 140 ppm gallium oxide and 0.32 to 0.89% TREO with 27% HREO, as well as 1.01 to 3.34% zirconium, were detected. From European Lithium's perspective, the gallium results are particularly exciting. The concentration is significantly higher than in typical rare earth projects. In view of China's export restrictions on gallium and other elements, Tanbreez is becoming a strategically important asset for Western supply chains.

The share price rally could soon continue, especially considering that the drill results from 2024 are still pending. This could once again confirm the world-class quality of the mineral deposit.

European Lithium holds a 68% stake in Critical Metals Corp., which owns 42% of Tanbreez and has the right to acquire up to 92.5%. With a valuation of less than EUR 100 million, European Lithium is anything but expensive.

D-Wave Quantum: Calm before the next price jump?

D-Wave Quantum's stock is certainly not as cheap as European Lithium, but the Company is also the leader in quantum computing. After initially surpassing the USD 20 mark at the end of July, the stock recently consolidated somewhat. This is perfectly healthy, given that the share price has increased more than tenfold since November 2024 alone. Analysts remain bullish. According to marketscreener.com, 9 out of 9 analysts recommend buying D-Wave shares. Stifel was the last to start covering the stock. The experts' price target for the quantum high-flyer's shares is USD 26. The highest target price is USD 30.

Operationally, the Company is continuing to forge ahead at full speed. D-Wave has unveiled an open-source toolkit for its Ocean software suite. This is intended to enable quantum annealing to be integrated into AI and machine learning workflows. Significance: The combination of quantum processing with classic data processing.

Standard Lithium: Will the price rally continue?

With rising sales figures for electric vehicles in Europe, not only is European Lithium's share price rising, but also that of Standard Lithium. The North American company is now trading at CAD 3.47 again, giving it a market capitalization of CAD 719 million – its highest level since fall 2023.

According to analysts, the CAD 4 mark could soon be exceeded. The average price target of the nine research firms covering the stock is CAD 4.25 (source: marketscreener.com). Raymond James recently initiated coverage of Standard Lithium. Analysts see Standard Lithium as a leader in direct lithium extraction (DLE). They also welcomed the Company's focus on lithium brine projects in the US. Overall, analysts are bullish on the lithium sector and see strong demand for the commodity in the coming decades. They recommend Standard Lithium shares with an "Outperform" rating and see the fair value at USD 2.75.

The recent price rally could be just the beginning for European Lithium. The Company has two hot prospects with the potential for a significant increase in value: the rare earths project in Greenland and lithium in Austria. Standard Lithium is also performing well at present, and analysts believe the stock has further upside potential. D-Wave remains the leading specialist in the quantum sector.

Gold and defense stocks are unstoppable! Barrick Mining, Deutz, Dryden Gold

    • Mining
    • Gold
    • Defense

Gold and defense stocks are currently dominating the markets. The price of gold has reached a new record high of over USD 3,600 per troy ounce, and experts are forecasting prices of up to USD 5,000. Barrick Mining is finally benefiting from this. The investor favorite has jumped and gained 50%. Newmont has performed even better. Investors are now betting on successful explorers like Dryden Gold. The Canadians are reporting strong drilling results, and analysts see considerable potential. The latest "gap drilling" also highlights that the Gold Rock project could develop into a large-volume deposit. Only defense stocks can almost keep up with the performance of gold. Deutz surprised investors with a takeover in the drone sector and is trading at its highest level since 2007. Analysts praise the move, and the chances of inclusion in the MDAX are increasing.

From ore to energy: How BYD, Power Metallic Mines, and Siemens Energy are benefiting from the energy transition

The global energy transition is not only sparking hope but also a race for scarce raw materials. Nickel, cobalt, copper, lithium, and rare earths are becoming the backbone of batteries and wind turbines, while geopolitical tensions over supply chains are driving up prices. Those who position themselves in time could benefit from the redistribution of global power. This is particularly exciting for companies that either secure access to these resources, develop technologies for their use, or play a decisive role in the value chain, such as BYD, Power Metallic Mines, and Siemens Energy.

Trump Lifts Tariffs on Tungsten: Implications for Almonty, historical parallels with Nucor and Cameco

    • Tariffs

There is hardly a trading day without a tariff headline: Over the weekend, US President Donald Trump announced the exemption of several key imports — including gold, uranium, and tungsten — from import tariffs. The measure highlights just how strategically important these two raw materials, in particular, have become for the country. No tariffs should hinder trade in tungsten and other critical materials. This is good news for tungsten producer Almonty Industries, which has only recently relocated its headquarters to the US and has already secured offtake agreements with US industry players. The Company is now preparing to bring its massive Sangdong mine in South Korea into production - a project that could account for more than 40% of the global tungsten supply outside China. It now appears likely that a large portion of this production can be exported to the US tariff-free. We take a closer look at what the US government's measures mean in concrete terms and what opportunities similar market interventions have created for investors in the past, with the examples of Nucor and Cameco.
