For example, European wine will cost US consumers about 30% more, factoring in currency losses, which is devastating for European winemakers. All in all, this deal is considered a major setback for free trade, with serious inflationary consequences and declining consumer demand. Investors should reposition themselves, as late summer looks stormy from this perspective alone.
