Takeovers can move share prices. That is true for the acquisition of entire companies as well as for individual divisions or projects. The ongoing green technology revolution, driven by the exponential growth of alternatively powered vehicles and continued investment in solar energy, will further accelerate global industrial demand for silver over the next decade. Battery production for electric car use alone will require approximately 20,554 tons of silver by 2030 - bright prospects for silver companies. Infineon, Defense Metals, Aixtron - It is getting tight!
Supply bottlenecks in various industries, e.g. wood, metals, semiconductors or chips (see Infineon and Aixtron in this article), are causing prices to skyrocket. Whether only a short-term phenomenon, it remains to be seen. One area that is heading for ever-increasing demand with manageable supply is "rare earths." Particularly for producers or prospective producers or exploration companies, such as Defense Metals, this should pay off in the medium term.

Aixtron, SunMirror, Everfuel - Emergency braking for electric mobility!
The chip shortage triggered by the blow-up of supply chains due to the Corona lockdowns is hitting the automotive industry with full force at the moment. Daimler has already had to put thousands of employees on short-time work at its plants in Rastatt and Bremen. The situation is similar at VW and even at the Korean carmaker Hyundai. The procurement of the necessary raw materials, caused by the increased demand due to the energy transition, will also be a considerable challenge in the future, not only for the electric car industry.
