Varta, Carbon Done Right Developments, Bayer - Buy when the cannons are firing?

  • Sustainability
  • renewableenergies
  • Pharma

The stock market is a fascinating place where investors have to weigh up their opportunities and risks. An often-quoted stock market adage is: "Buy when the cannons are firing". The idea behind this is that one can find opportunities for lucrative investments in times of crisis when market sentiment is particularly poor. Warren Buffett also supports the idea of buying securities or companies at times when the majority of investors are pessimistic, causing prices to fall below the actual value of the investments. He said: "Be greedy when others are fearful and be fearful when others are greedy." We have selected three candidates who have recently lost ground and shed light on whether an investment is worthwhile.

Varta Thriller! Altech Advanced Materials, BYD work on the electrification of the future

  • Technology
  • Innovations
  • renewableenergies

While production at Varta is at a standstill following a cyber attack, the wave of electrification is rolling inexorably through our society, changing how we generate, store and utilize energy. Innovations are needed here, especially in energy storage from renewable sources and the further development of batteries for use in electric vehicles. Advances in electric vehicles and the increasing use of electrical energy are paving the way towards the future. Intensive research is currently being carried out on technologies that will increase both the effectiveness and capacity of battery systems. Altech Advanced Materials and BYD stand out here.

Sell Varta shares? Nel and Altech Advanced Materials with new opportunities

  • Technology
  • Batteries
  • renewableenergies

The bad news for Varta seems to be unending. First, a cyber attack paralyzed the Company. Now, analysts are lowering their thumbs and recommending selling the share. Estimates for the years 2024 and 2025 have been lowered. As a result, Altech Advanced is increasingly becoming the German battery hopeful. Even though Altech's share price has declined significantly in recent months, the Company is on track operationally. The current year will be exciting. Things also remain exciting for hydrogen shares. While Nel and Plug Power & Co. still need to prove the future viability of their business models, they are receiving billions in support.

GreenTech in turnaround in 2024? Siemens Energy, Altech Advanced Materials, Nordex and Varta in focus

  • GreenTech
  • Batteries
  • renewableenergies

The investment year 2023 was not a highlight for owners of GreenTech shares. All stocks that were supposed to benefit from the government's fabulous climate change targets were crushed. Hydrogen stocks lost 75% on average, and the wind and solar sectors fell by at least 50%. A look ahead to 2024 now raises questions, as the Berlin traffic light coalition abruptly halted support for heating and e-mobility due to the Karlsruhe ruling. This will now be a litmus test for GreenTech producers, as they must assert themselves on the market without subsidies. It is a bold experiment if the state no longer offers incentives. We take a closer look.

Sell Varta shares? Positive news from JinkoSolar and Manuka Resources

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • renewableenergies
  • Solar
  • Batteries

Is the Varta share price party over again? The shares of the former German battery darling have gained around 30% in value over the past six months. But now analysts are advising to sell. JinkoSolar's management had hoped for more buying when it announced the dividend at the end of September. While this was not the case, shareholders can at least look forward to a payout next week. Manuka Resources is currently managing the balancing act between positive cash flows from the sale of gold and investments in resource expansion. The Company is sitting on another potential "treasure" with a project for battery metals. Is the share undervalued?

Attention: New battery technology in demand! Freyr Battery, Manuka Resources, Varta and IBU-tec in focus

  • Mining
  • BatteryMetals
  • Electromobility
  • climatechange

Despite all ecological reservations, the electrified future is advancing. In an effort to combat climate change, politicians have decided on the complete electrification of the future. The plan to entirely displace fossil fuels will lead many countries into a new economic dimension that will outperform conventional economies for a long time. However, a beautiful, new world must be economically affordable. This requires significant technological advancement and a tremendous amount of money for the transformation; ideological thinking helps little in this regard. Central Europe, in particular, is an importer of raw materials and energy and is a long way from setting world-changing parameters. However, since everything has already been decided in Berlin, millions of batteries and stationary energy storage systems are now needed for the green transformation. The key here is access to the critical metals of the future. These strategic decisions are being evaluated in the stock market. It is worth doing the math.

Green Energy in Focus - Varta, Siemens Energy, Power Nickel and Nordex - Find the next 100% gainer now!

  • Mining
  • Nickel
  • BatteryMetals
  • renewableenergies
  • GreenTech

That was a significant turnaround. While the DAX 40 index stood at 14,650 points at the end of October, it started its year-end rally at the beginning of November. On Friday, the index even broke back above the crucial 15,300 mark. There are now technical resistances to watch for upward movement. In the Greentech sector, there was good news from the corporate side: Varta is optimistic about the next quarter, and Siemens Energy is up 40% in 5 trading days. The Power Nickel share has been strong all year, and what about Nordex? All these stocks have the potential for a 100% gain – the question is, which one will take off first?

Lithium: The million-ton question! BASF, Standard Lithium, Edison Lithium, Varta - The Top List for 2024

  • Mining
  • Lithium
  • Batteries
  • BatteryMetals
  • Technology

Lithium-ion batteries are the most widely used battery type for electric vehicles and stationary energy storage. Estimates vary widely, but by 2025, we will need between 500,000 and 850,000 thousand tons of lithium, but in 2022 only 130,000 tons were produced. Against the backdrop of continued high global demand for e-vehicles, many high-performance batteries will be needed. Four gigafactories are currently being built in Europe, and the demand seems enormous. Each auto manufacturer has its own sourcing strategy, but there is currently a problem on the supply side because not every raw material is easy to obtain. Lithium is one of the most essential raw material components of a battery, along with nickel, cobalt, graphite and copper. Prices across the battery segment are under pressure due to the approaching economic downturn. What should investors look out for now?

Varta, First Phosphate, Volkswagen AG - Great opportunities in bombed-out sectors

  • Mining
  • phosphate
  • renewableenergies
  • Energy
  • Batteries

The current environment with a weak economy, fears of recession and continued high inflation is causing problems for capital-intensive companies in the renewable energy sector. Even the raw materials required for this sector have significantly deviated from their all-time highs achieved in 2021. However, there is no question that the future belongs to this sector. More important than ever for investors, however, is active stock picking.

First Phosphate, Volkswagen, Varta - Battle for battery raw materials picks up speed

  • Mining
  • phosphate
  • Batteries
  • renewableenergies
  • Electromobility

The global demand for electric vehicles is steadily increasing, driving the need for battery raw materials. However, the battle for these coveted raw materials has political consequences, particularly concerning the strained relations between the US and China. The US has recognized that it is heavily dependent on China for access to key battery raw materials, which has led to tensions between the two countries. The US is working to reduce these dependencies. This is reason enough to examine three companies that rely on battery raw materials.
