Rheinmetall, European Lithium, BYD – Drastic measures

  • Mining
  • Lithium
  • Electromobility
  • Defense

The pressure from the former and current US president to increase defense spending among NATO partners remains high, which means that defense companies will likely face a revaluation. By contrast, subsidies for electric vehicles in the US are on the verge of being phased out. However, industry experts and analysts are convinced that the global trend towards electric mobility will remain unaffected. China remains the largest growth market for electric vehicles, with a share of 65% and 11 million vehicles sold, and the trend is rising. As a result, the demand for the basic raw material lithium is increasing.

Geopolitical tensions and technological innovations are the driving forces behind the current market movements in the defense and AI sectors. The leading tungsten producer, Almonty Industries, plans to move its headquarters to the US to strengthen domestic raw material independence for the defense industry. The timing is ideal as China tightens trade restrictions on both raw materials and US defense companies. Meanwhile, in Germany, the Federal Cartel Office has approved a far-reaching German-Italian defense project between Rheinmetall AG and Leonardo S.p.A. - the aim is to strengthen European security, particularly with regard to ground troops. The US tech company Palantir Technologies is further expanding its position in the AI market and is increasingly using AI platform technology for commercial customers. We look at what investors need to know now.

Trump is back! NATO rearmament with Rheinmetall, Renk, Hensoldt and Nova Pacific Metals

  • GreenTech

After a grand inauguration night, the 47th US President Donald Trump is diving straight into government business. The first decrees include an exit from the WHO and the Paris Climate Agreement. At the same time, he repeated his demand that NATO countries drastically increase their investment budgets if they expect to continue to be protected by the US. What this could mean for the planet is alarming. For the stock market, this means getting out of Greentech stocks and into high-tech and defense for the time being. Strategic metals are also coming back into focus because nothing will move forward without them. Where can investors still make a return now?

The inauguration of the 45th and 47th President of the United States is currently overshadowing everything else. In the run-up to the event, the leading German index, DAX and the leading cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, reached new all-time highs. However, uncertainty is growing regarding which industries will be among the so-called "Trump Trades" and which can expect less support from the US government. One thing is certain: market volatility is unlikely to decrease anytime soon.

The global security landscape is changing rapidly, whether in the Middle East, on NATO borders, or in Asia. Savvy investors recognize the links between demand for commodities such as gold, technology and defense. One of the major gold producers, Barrick Gold, is receiving positive analyst evaluations and appears to be on a growth trajectory for 2025. The same is true for Desert Gold. The exploration and resource development company has discovered promising new gold deposits in Mali, West Africa, and has also raised the necessary capital for the next development phase. Meanwhile, Rheinmetall is strengthening the medical capabilities of the German armed forces. With state-of-the-art mobile rescue stations, soldiers will have access to care and support anytime. While gold producers and explorers are tapping into valuable precious metal resources, Rheinmetall provides the technology for a secure future. There is enormous investment potential for investors.

MOMENTUM stocks for 2025: Rheinmetall, Bayer, Almonty Industries - Should you buy now?

  • Mining

  • Defense
  • Pharma

Rheinmetall and Almonty Industries are entering the new year with momentum and are on the hunt for new all-time highs: Almonty is one of the strong performers in the commodities sector in 2024, and 2025 should be even better. The Company plans to bring the largest tungsten mine outside of China into production. Based on the explosion in sales and profits in the coming years, analysts see more than 200% upside potential. Things are also going well at Rheinmetall. The defense company plans to double its profit by 2027, suggesting the stock is not expensive. However, there is also potential for a setback. Unfortunately, Bayer experienced only downward momentum in 2024. Is a turnaround in sight for the once-largest DAX company?

STOCK FAVOURITES 2025: Will Rheinmetall, TUI and Power Nickel continue their price rally?

  • Mining
  • Nickel

  • Travel

Will Rheinmetall soon be supplying warships and submarines as well? This is entirely possible and would further fill the already bulging order books. However, risks are also looming. At Power Nickel, the revaluation began impressively in 2024. The stock still appears to have plenty of significant upside potential, as the Company not only has large deposits of nickel and copper but also palladium, gold, and silver. Strong news flow is expected in 2025. And what about TUI? The stock has held above the EUR 8 mark after the figures. Management is optimistic about the coming year.

100% chance of peace in 2025: Ukraine, Israel & Syria! Rheinmetall, Renk, Almonty and Palantir in focus

The DAX ran a little hot in December, with a new all-time high of over 20,522 points. Shortly before Christmas, it fell back to 19,850 points. Some say healthy; others say a turnaround. The fact is that the 2024 investment year was only positive for a fraction of the listed stocks despite the recessionary environment. They come from the high-tech, artificial intelligence, banking and defense sectors. With the renewed escalation of Russian attacks at the turn of the year, hopes for peace have been postponed for the time being, leaving defense stocks with their dearly paid-for charm. Producers of strategic metals are again coming into focus because, for Western industrial nations, the task is to secure supply chains as best as possible. Where are the opportunities for investors at the turn of the year?
