What comes after inflation: BYD, Desert Gold, Barrick Gold

  • Gold
  • Electromobility
  • Inflation

The course of time cannot be stopped. A resourceful investor should try to find something good in every development. That is particularly easy with green trends such as renewable energy and e-mobility. But even the current crisis holds long-term potential. Below, we outline what that potential is and how investors can position themselves right now.

ThyssenKrupp, Desert Gold, Bayer - Waiting for the turnaround

  • Gold

After a strong start to the week for the DAX and a high of 13,444 points, the leading German index ran out of steam. Due to increasing fears of a recession and concerns about continued enormously high inflation rates, the stock market barometer again fell below the psychologically important mark of 13,000 points. The speech of the head of the US Federal Reserve, Jerome Powell, should therefore be enormously important for the further course and provide for volatile markets. A decision is also likely to be made soon on the gold market based on the strategy of the monetary guardians.

BP, Desert Gold, Livent - Gold stocks from different sectors

  • Gold
  • Oil
  • Lithium
  • Mining

Why are BP and Livent gold stocks, some readers may ask? The answer is simple, because the gold term is being used for more and more commodities, especially as prices have skyrocketed. Such is the case with oil, the black gold, and lithium, the white gold. "Real" gold, on the other hand, has fallen back to the USD 1850 range after its breakout with the onset of the Ukraine crisis. So which gold should you put your money in now? We take a look at one Company from each sector.

Gold comes back: B2Gold, Desert Gold, Barrick Gold - The year of acquisitions!

The ever-increasing inflation is on everyone's lips. A stick of butter, for example, has risen in price from an average of EUR 1.30 in 2020 to now EUR 2.60. A blatant example of 100% inflation within just two years. Typically, prices rise in a market economy when there is more demand than supply. There can be two reasons for this. Either demand increases faster than supply or supply decreases more than demand. This can be the result of production stoppages, for example. Wars or catastrophes are often responsible for this. However, inflation can also set in when central banks excessively increase the money supply, which was the case between 2008 and 2022. In the past, precious metals were always well suited to compensate for losses in purchasing power and moved upwards in line with the money supply. This process could now begin.

Turnaround stocks: Amazon, TUI, Desert Gold, Deutsche Bank - Easily 100% in it!

Fearing Western expropriation, the Russian oligarchs are trying to bring their belongings to safety. Since the beginning of the invasion of Ukraine, they have lost access to their luxury yachts, real estate and other assets with a total value of about EUR 10 billion. A good 2.3 billion of this comes from the EU's securing of the ostentatious ships owned by oligarchs close to the Kremlin. In order to locate the valuable goods for insurance purposes, all vessels over 300 gross tons would have to be equipped with a GPS tracker. These systems are now being uninstalled one after the other, as the owners hope to save their ships undetected in friendly waters. Meanwhile, asset shifts in the capital markets continue briskly, with Bitcoin weak, bonds beginning to stabilize, and stocks testing the first countermovement. Gold is also looking good technically. We go in search of prime turnaround opportunities.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, Newmont - Golden times

  • Gold

The situation with gold is more than paradoxical at the moment. On the one hand, the Ukraine war is raging with the threat of spreading to other countries. On top of that, inflation rates are jumping to levels the world has not seen in more than 30 years. As the icing on the cake, the Zero-Covid lockdowns in China are hampering supply chains that are already broken. Gold should therefore explode. However, the reality is different. The precious yellow metal is currently struggling to reach the USD 1,800 per ounce mark. However, the crisis currency is likely to prevail in the long term and pave its way above new highs.

BioNTech, BYD and Desert Gold: Shares for the rebound

  • Gold
  • Electromobility
  • Biotechnology

Is the rebound coming? After the heavy price losses of recent days and weeks, the market seems ripe for a countermovement. However, this would require a little more volume in the market. But then, especially companies that have not disappointed operationally should profit. BioNTech, for example, belongs to this group. The Company has published convincing figures, and analysts see up to 50% price potential. BYD's share price should also pick up speed again. Finally, the rapid shift to electric pureplay seems to be succeeding and HSBC has raised the price target. Gold was not a safe haven in the current correction. But it is worth looking at bombed-out stocks here as well. Desert Gold Ventures is one of them. The explorer has started a new drill program and secured financing.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, K+S - Inflation: Is fertilizer the new silver and gold?

  • Gold
  • Silver
  • fertilizer

Inflation and rising interest rates are an argument in favor of precious metals - that is the opinion of many investors who suspect a loss of monetary value and want to protect themselves against it. But the stock exchanges had other topics on their radar in the last few days. Because due to strongly correcting share prices, there was primarily an urge for liquidity, in part to satisfy margin requirements of the bank. Such times also lead to the realization of price gains in gold and silver. So regardless of the environment, precious metals fall at times. For the long-term investor, this is a clear buying opportunity. We look at which stocks are promising here.
