Plug Power, Hensoldt, Saturn Oil + Gas: Will the price rally continue?

  • Oil

Until recently, it seemed unthinkable, but it has become a reality: the price of Brent oil is trading above USD 110, a multi-year high. The German armed forces are to receive EUR 100 billion in special funds. In addition, according to Chancellor Scholz, NATO's 2% target is to be met in the future. And renewable energies are described by politicians of all parties as strategically important "freedom energies". These drastic developments are currently moving share prices. The value of the defense company Hensoldt has doubled within a few days, and a new major customer beckons. Hydrogen specialist Plug Power has also posted double-digit gains but missed analysts' estimates operationally in 2021. Saturn Oil & Gas shares have not yet benefited from the high oil price. After the successful takeover, the knot could now burst.

Varta, Nel ASA, Almonty Industries: Get in now?

  • Tungsten
  • Electromobility

The electric car is currently outpacing the combustion engine: around 350,000 pure e-cars were registered in Germany alone in 2021. According to the Center of Automotive Management (CAM), this means that the market share has almost doubled to 13% in one year. Germany is now the third-largest single market for pure electric vehicles after China and the United States. However, according to CAM, China is ahead with around 2.7 million electric vehicles. Nevertheless, due to global subsidies, the trend toward electromobility will continue, creating opportunities for investors. The winners in electromobility include battery and raw material producers such as Varta and Almonty Industries. Demand for hydrogen - and therefore Nel - will also increase. All three stocks have lost significant ground. But there are positive developments. Is it worth getting in now?

Barrick Gold, Standard Lithium, Alerio Gold: Commodity stocks after the crash

  • Gold

Lithium and gold stocks have little in common at first glance. The lithium sector has undergone a severe correction in recent weeks. Albemarle, for example, has lost around 30% in value. In the case of the 2021 investor darling, Standard Lithium, it was almost 50%. What lasted only a few weeks in the case of lithium has dragged on for months in the case of gold shares. Again, industry heavyweights like Barrick Gold and young producers like Alerio Gold are trading well below their highs. And this brings us to the common thread. Both lithium and gold stocks appear ripe for a rebound. The lithium price is trading near all-time highs, and gold is trading back above USD 1,800. In addition, Barrick has released top numbers. Alerio Gold and Standard Lithium are also worth a closer look.

Steinhoff, TeamViewer, CoinSmart: With hope and despair into the new year!

  • crypto

Hope and despair can exist close to each other. The same is true for the stock market. In the case of Steinhoff, there have been positive reports in recent months. It seems that the German-South African group can be saved after all. Accordingly, the share has multiplied. The security of CoinSmart is still far away from this. But there are good reasons why the price of the crypto platform could rise this year. There was certainly despair among one or the other shareholder of TeamViewer in 2021. The Company has forward-looking software but has squandered a lot of trust. Read more here.
