While the investor event at Tesla was eagerly awaited yesterday, the shares of competitor BYD were among the day's winners, with a price jump of over 5%. After the sell-off of the previous days, the share benefited, among other things, from good economic indicators in China. Operationally, there are also positive things to report. There is also good newsflow at Tocvan Ventures. The gold and silver explorer has completed a capital increase and presented promising drill results. The news flow should continue as the year progresses, and the share could celebrate a strong comeback. Investors are waiting for news at American Lithium. The recent sell-off seems to be over, and the stock is picking up again. When will the uranium IPO come?

Global demand for silver and iron is being generated by both conventional industrial needs, such as construction and technology, and progress toward clean energy generation and related commodities, such as batteries and electric vehicles. Australia's Manuka Resources reports an impressive initial mineral resource of 3.2 billion tons grading 0.05% vanadium at its Taranaki VTM iron sands project in New Zealand. This contains 1.6 million tons of vanadium pentoxide (V2O5), making it one of the most extensive vanadium deposits in the world. Vanadium is used for the production of high-performance batteries. This is where FREYR Battery comes into play. The Norwegian company reported its quarterly results and is on schedule with the construction of its in-house battery production facility. Top dog Alibaba also scored a win, as special data on the Chinese market has investors sitting up and taking notice...

First Majestic Silver, Blackrock Silver, American Lithium - Long-term opportunity

The transformation towards greenhouse gas-neutral technologies leads to a significant metal demand for corresponding critical raw materials. In addition to copper, nickel, lithium and cobalt, silver, in particular, is experiencing steadily increasing demand. In addition, the precious metal is increasingly required in medical devices, smartphones and microchips, among other things. After a correction that has lasted since 2020, the next upward wave will likely follow after a bottoming out. For investors, this is an opportunity for long-term price gains.

What is next for gold? Since the beginning of November, gold prices have risen rapidly by over USD 300. Inflation figures in the US fell significantly during these months. Last week, therefore, all eyes were again on the inflation data in the US. Inflation fell in January, but not as much as experts had expected. Interest rate fears are already spreading again, pushing the indices down. If interest rates continue to rise, this will draw investors away from the gold market. However, state banks continue to buy gold. In January, Turkey purchased 68 tons of gold. We take a closer look at three gold companies.

The pessimists among economists were proven wrong at the beginning of the year. No, the German GDP did not fall in 2022, but rose by a full 1.9%. Who would have thought that with the supply chain problems, growth would be possible at all? Due to the war in Ukraine, rising energy prices and record inflation, economic regeneration in 2022 turned out surprisingly better than expected. This is due to various special effects, such as restructuring our energy supply, which positively affected the German economy. So far, there has also been no gas emergency, which would have weighed heavily on industry. We look at opportunities in the emerging Greentech industry.

Germany still has 22 years to achieve its goal of climate neutrality. By then, electricity will be generated purely from the sun and wind, and buildings will be so perfectly insulated that they will no longer need to be heated. Cars will only be fueled by electricity or green hydrogen. On paper, the energy mix transformation reads simple, but the implementation seems almost impossible, given current developments. Massive problems are likely to arise in procuring critical raw materials, as global demand is already outstripping supply for many metals.

Is Tesla hunter BYD almost 100% in? Has the Nel share run hot? When will Manuka Resources jump on?

The Nel share has performed amazingly well in recent months. From mid-October to early February, it increased by around 70% to EUR 1.70. Since then, the stock has been taking a well-deserved breather. Will the rally continue? According to Goldman Sachs, the air is getting thin. But there is also positive news. There is also that of BYD. The Tesla hunter is building another battery factory, and analysts are raising their estimates after solid figures. Manuka Resources wants to present strong drilling results. For this purpose, a new drilling program near an existing mine has now been approved. In addition to gold and silver, high-grade copper deposits, zinc, and lead are expected. In addition, a complete reassessment is still possible.

Shares are a popular form of investment that can hold a lot of potential. Particularly interesting are stocks that are positioned before a turnaround. This means that the Company has had difficulties in the past but is now expected to see positive changes in its business potential. These stocks can bring large profits if successful, as they often trade at lower prices and have great upside potential. However, it is important to thoroughly analyze the Company's financials and business model before investing in such stocks. We take a look at three promising titles.

In 2023, international pressure to initiate the climate turnaround remains. One potential path is seen in e-mobility. Despite the enormous development efforts of the last 5 years, no battery solution has yet been launched that could match the performance characteristics of a last-generation diesel powertrain. Key characteristics here are cost and sustainability in manufacturing, range, lifetime and safety. Nevertheless, progress is being made in the chemical mix of battery components, and some companies are making a name for themselves here. We analyze the current status.

Infineon, Manuka Resources, Barrick Gold- The acquisition wave is underway

In times of inflation, rising interest rates, skyrocketing energy prices and global recession fears, the consolidation process will likely accelerate significantly in many industries next year. Capital-intensive, as yet unprofitable companies with an innovative business model face major challenges if they are to retain their independence in the future. Larger groups are already digging in their heels to prepare their portfolios for the future. Especially in the precious metals sector, increasing acquisition activity has been observed in recent weeks.
