Steyr Motors, Power Metallic Mines, BYD – From unique selling point to market leader

In the context of geopolitical tariffs and green transformation, drive technology, raw material extraction, and e-mobility are merging into key sectors. While US automotive tariffs are setting new rules from 2025, three players are driving systemic solutions: Steyr Motors, a pioneer in high-performance hybrid engines; Power Metallic Mines, which is setting ESG standards with carbon-neutral nickel; and BYD, which is dominating e-mobility through innovation. Their strategies – technological sovereignty, vertical integration, and resource-efficient ecosystems – demonstrate how the apparent contradictions between decarbonization and industrial reality can be overcome. Three companies, one mission: to shape the value chain of tomorrow.

Attention: IPO fever, now it's really starting! Hensoldt, Power Metallic, Renk, and thyssenkrupp

Before the election and after the election. At the beginning of the year, there was still a fight over the debt brake, but with the US pulling out of Ukraine aid, it seems that anything goes. Last week, in addition to an ECB interest rate cut, an EUR 800 billion package for armaments and infrastructure was proposed. This caused the DAX 40 index to surge, especially defense and construction stocks, which gained an average of 30%. Hensoldt and thyssenkrupp even made a giant leap upwards. The new all-time high for the index is now 23,475 points. Could there be an IPO from Essen soon? The probability for TKMS is increasing. However, it remains to be seen whether the significant premiums are sustainable; on Friday, there were initial sell-offs. Our specialty title, Power Metallic (formerly Power Nickel), continued to rise. We are looking into the crystal ball.

The success story is set to continue under a new name: Power Nickel has changed its name to Power Metallic Mines. In order to push ahead with the world-class multi-metal project at full speed, fresh capital has been raised. With new strong drilling results in the pipeline, the stock can now take off again. The price drop due to the capital increase represents an exciting entry opportunity. Investors certainly believe in higher prices. Hensoldt is currently skyrocketing. At AIXTRON, analyst opinions are divided after the price crash. Is the stock a buy now? Management believes so.

Renk in the defense boom - Power Metallic Mines and BYD are also high flyers and uniquely positioned

  • Mining
  • Nickel
  • Copper
  • Digitization
  • Defense

In a world rapidly moving towards decarbonization, companies that have long operated in the shadow of well-known tech giants are suddenly in the spotlight. The EU's agreement on the Critical Raw Materials Act last year highlights how vital access to key resources and innovative manufacturing solutions has become. The stocks of the three companies presented here have one thing in common: they have risen significantly in recent weeks. Renk through high-precision technology for the defense and automotive industries, Power Metallic Mines through essential metals, and BYD through disruptive mobility concepts.

BYD, Power Nickel, Rheinmetall – Top high flyers with further potential

After the outstanding stock market years of 2023 and 2024, many market participants assumed there would be a sharp correction on the stock markets at the beginning of the year. So far, however, both the DAX and the Dow Jones have proved the pessimists wrong and continued their upward trends despite increasing political and economic uncertainties. Although valuations in general, such as the Shiller P/E ratio, which is at the second-highest level in its history, already appear ambitious, there are still opportunities for disproportionate price increases in some companies.

Puma, Nordex, and Power Nickel - Potential for a price jump? Analysts see opportunities in these stocks

  • Mining
  • Nickel
  • Gold
  • Commodities
  • renewableenergies
  • Sportswear

Power Nickel's shares were among the commodity high flyers of 2024. The upward trend appears to be continuing in the new year. Power Nickel's high-grade Nisk project is increasingly turning into a gold mine with numerous valuable metals. To increase its value further, it will continue to drill and spin off non-core activities. Will analysts soon be raising their price targets? Puma shareholders have been waiting in vain for a price jump for quite some time. The sporting goods company is caught in a margin trap. The target prices are widely divergent. After difficult years, Nordex is actually doing well. But the US is becoming more and more of a concern. And now there is also a headwind in Germany.

D-Wave, Power Nickel, Amazon - Copper as a key raw material for the technological revolution

  • Mining

  • computing

The increasing demand for copper for new technologies such as quantum computers, power grids, and solar system expansion is putting pressure on the global raw materials market. D-Wave, a pioneer in quantum computing, requires copper for its highly complex systems. With fresh capital of USD 150 million, the Palo Alto-based company is continuing its growth strategy. In the immediate vicinity, the Canadian raw materials company Power Nickel is tapping into promising copper and precious metal deposits with its NISK project. The ongoing boom in raw materials is ideal for Power Nickel. The current drilling is delivering promising results from a nickel-copper-cobalt-PGE deposit and a high-grade copper-precious metal zone. Amazon, in turn, is pushing ahead with its zero-emissions strategy with its 58-MW solar projects in Japan. Here, too, copper plays a key role in the construction of the solar plants. The economic sustainability of individual countries depends heavily on their available raw material resources and suppliers. Three companies exemplify how copper is becoming the strategic metal of the digital transformation.

The stock market boom continues – Power Nickel, BYD, Bitcoin, and MicroStrategy are soaring, and thyssenkrupp is turning a corner!

The stock market started the new year at full speed. Chart analysts see the DAX reaching 21,500 points as early as January! Yesterday, the stock markets in the US were closed for Martin Luther King Day, but Donald Trump was sworn in again as the 47th President. Storm clouds are currently a rarity, and corrections have been limited to just a few hours. Investors have to keep pace with this speed to achieve returns. Stagnation or even setbacks are seen only in Germany's GDP, which has declined for the second consecutive year. However, this is no obstacle for higher stock market valuations. Here is a selection of stocks that continue to cause a stir!

Will the corks be popping in 2025, too? 100% with BYD, VW, Power Nickel, MicroStrategy and Bitcoin possible

  • Mining

Since the tech bubble of 2000, there has been no year in which profits were so concentrated in just a few sectors as in 2024. Bitcoin, high-tech, artificial intelligence, and armaments were the blockbusters, while other sectors such as biotech, pharmaceuticals and automotive lagged far behind or even ended the year in the red. Nvidia, Tesla, D-Wave, Super Micro Computer, Rheinmetall and MicroStrategy were the protagonists of an incredible spectacle. Now, these stocks have priced in a golden future, in some cases with P/E ratios of over 100, and no one can seriously predict how things will continue here. Historically, the subsequent crash in the three years following the reference year 2000 resulted in losses of over 90%. The important difference: whereas in the past stocks were listed without any fundamental value, today it is predominantly world market leaders in their particular niche. Investors are betting on the fact that there will be no competition in the long term. Where are the opportunities for investors at the turn of the year?
