Geopolitical uncertainties - Sibanye Stillwater, Saturn Oil + Gas and Barrick Gold benefit

  • Mining

In addition to the stock markets, which reached new highs last week, the direction of precious metals and oil is also clearly pointing upward. While gold also reached a new all-time high, silver has significant catch-up potential compared to its big brother. In the case of black gold, the current uncertain geopolitical situation could cause oil prices to break through the USD 100 per barrel barrier once again.

Desert Gold Ventures, Barrick, Intel - Stagflation in the US as a gold price turbo?

  • Technology

Gold has reached another record level of over USD 2,300 per ounce. Investors are betting that the US Federal Reserve will cut interest rates later this year. Gold has been on an upward trend since mid-February. On the one hand, it has a reputation for maintaining or increasing its value during periods of inflation. On the other hand, it is seen as a store of value should FIAT money be significantly devalued - after all, gold has been considered a currency for millennia. For Desert Gold Ventures, the timing is right to complete its exploration drilling program in Africa. Demand for the precious metal is unabated. These are good times for gold explorers and producers. Barrick CEO Mark Bristow suspects stagflation in the US, which will further drive up the price of gold. Declining economy and rising inflation? It is not a suitable environment for US companies. One company seemingly lagging behind is Intel. The Company issued a profit warning this week. We take a look at what this means for investors.

The stock markets continue to boom. The DAX was able to climb above the psychologically important 18,000-point mark, at least in the short term, while other asset classes, such as gold and Bitcoin, also reached new highs. By contrast, different sectors, such as hydrogen and cannabis, have continued to plummet in recent weeks. The latter, in particular, has received an upward boost from the US government's statements, which could herald a trend reversal.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold Ventures, Newmont - When will the next surge follow?

  • Mining
  • Gold
  • Inflation

Gold is shining again. After reaching a new all-time high, the crisis and inflation hedge is back in the mainstream. While there has been little to read about the yellow precious metal in the newspapers in recent weeks, gold articles are currently among the most visited. During the initial impulse of the recent rise, mining stocks lagged significantly. However, if the positive trend continues, they could make up for this with disproportionately high price gains.

Bitcoin soon at USD 100,000? The music is also playing at Rheinmetall, Renk, Manuka Resources and BYD!

The stock market is not a one-way street. While Bitcoin reaches new highs daily, many stocks are still on the sidelines. Only 21% of all listed shares reached a new high in 2024, yet the Nasdaq 100 and the DAX 40 index are at their all-time highs. Only a few stocks are gaining favour with investors; others are being left behind. The current focus is on high-tech stocks that enable ever-greater computing power, such as in mining or artificial intelligence. In addition to gigantic amounts of data, mining requires trillions of computing operations to be carried out in a very short time. There are rewards in the form of new bitcoins for confirming transactions on the blockchain, but they will be halved by the next "halving" event in April. Armament values, on the other hand, seem to be heating up. So how much time is left to reap further leaps in returns?

Globex Mining, Rheinmetall, Fisker - Correction nearing its end

The German economy is shrinking, and there is no sign of an end to the downward spiral in the current year. Only the defense industry, which was dubbed socially harmful before the Ukraine conflict, is acting as a growth engine, with shares in the sector rushing from one high to the next. The growing and likely continuing demand for defense goods is increasing the need for critical metals. After a prolonged correction, copper, lithium, and others may now have completed their bottoming out.

1200% with artificial intelligence, 100% with Bitcoin, and now comes Gold! Barrick, Desert Gold, Aixtron and Super Micro

The stock market keeps rising - this is indicated by the ever-new highs of prominent indices such as the NASDAQ 100 or the DAX 40 index. However, a closer look reveals some inconsistencies. For example, only 7% of all traded stocks are currently reaching new highs, while over 60% of all listed stocks are falling. In short, global liquidity is aggregated in just a few blockbuster stocks worldwide, while the rest are being left behind. Such bubbles occurred in 1999, 2007, and 2015, followed by a 25% to 50% correction. No one knows when it will happen again, but the party will likely last a little longer. Gold and Silver have been trending sideways at a high level for the past 3 years, but the yellow metal showed the first signs of life last week. What should investors look out for now?

Renk, Hensoldt and Desert Gold: Price gains with armaments and gold

German defense stocks are currently in high demand. Rheinmetall shares have already gained 40% in the current year, while Hensoldt achieved a performance of 35% in the first two months of 2024. The figures for 2023 only dampened the mood briefly. What do analysts say about Hensoldt's share price potential? Stock market newcomer Renk still has to establish itself. But the IPO is beginning to bear fruit. Gold shares should also benefit from the global uncertainties. However, the performance of Barrick & Co. in recent years has been disappointing. Desert Gold could become the surprise stock of the year. According to experts, the explorer was the talk of the town at the recently concluded Mining INDABA trade fair in Cape Town, South Africa.

Barrick Gold, Desert Gold, Renk - Golden times everywhere?

  • Mining

The world is full of economic uncertainty and geopolitical tensions. These are ideal conditions for gold, which is still considered a safe haven. There are now several factors that point to a sustained upswing in gold prices. One factor is the increased involvement of central banks, which are increasing their reserves to an extent not seen for decades. Another factor is the discussion within the BRICS nations about introducing a new currency backed by gold as a counterweight to the dominant US dollar. Therefore, today, we look at two gold companies and shed light on Renk, a representative of the defense industry, which is also experiencing golden times.

Top news: BYD, Bayer and Globex Mining

Bayer shocked investors yesterday with the announcement of its dividend cut, which shouldn't have been much of a surprise. The Company is burdened with high debt, endless legal fines, and an empty pharmaceutical pipeline. In an initial reaction, analysts have lowered the share price target. BYD, on the other hand, is doing well operationally. Only the share price is not picking up. Will a share buyback turn the share price around? For those who want to profit from the commodity boom with reduced risk, then Globex Mining's stock is attractive. The news flow is strong, and those who act quickly can still register and follow the live presentation of the mining incubator at the 10th International Investment Forum, IIF, today.
