For investors in biotech stocks, 2022 was often a year to forget. After the Corona hype, the market clouded over significantly, in part due to rising interest rates. December is the time of year when investors can make adjustments to their portfolio, thereby reducing their tax burden for the year ahead. This year is no exception, yet three stocks shot up last Friday. That is unusual during tax loss season. We look at the three high flyers and BioNTech, a big player in the biotech sector.

Glencore, Tocvan Ventures, First Majestic Silver - Analysts enthusiastic

After commodities such as copper, nickel and lithium had climbed to new highs since the Corona low in March 2020, a sharp correction followed from March of this year due to fears of a recession, which could well continue for a while. In the long term, however, a continuation of the long-term upward trend is expected due to high demand on the one hand and low supply on the other. In the case of gold and silver, the easing of the tighter monetary policy will likely lead to a trend change to the upside.

For investors, the stock market remains a marketplace of innovations. But which company manages to expand its market power further? The ailing BASF Group relies on Big Data in the production processes of its subsidiary in the USA. A smart move, given the horrendous energy prices in Germany. Kleos Space is betting on space and, thanks to Elon Musk's SpaceX, is launching new satellites into space and, at the same time, cooperating with a data platform that was created around Airbus Defense. Amazon AWS is also betting on cooperation. The group is providing IT for cloud migration for a major US insurance company. Find out what exactly data predictions have to do with unscented body lotions here.

Core One Labs, BioNxt Solutions, Moderna - Takeover battle in a billion-dollar market

  • Biotechnology

The sharp correction of recent months hit the capital-intensive biotech sector particularly hard. Shares, mainly from the second tier, have, in some cases, had to absorb losses of more than three-quarters of their market value and are trading far below their cash levels. These distortions naturally attract the big players to acquire novel developments at bargain prices.

Gas is becoming scarce and raw materials increasingly expensive: Uniper, BYD, Defense Metals, and Nordex in focus

  • Electromobility
  • GreenTech

Five years ago, Tesla CEO Elon Musk announced the transportation revolution. Last week, it finally happened: Pepsi was the first company to receive the keys to the new Tesla e-truck called the "Tesla Semi." It is said to have a full 500 miles, or 800 km, range and can be charged in less than an hour with the appropriate high-voltage current. Because fossil fuel energy supplies are becoming more and more expensive, electric innovations are now entering all areas of business. But electricity from the socket also needs its sources. For this, in turn, all countries worldwide are making efforts to get GreenTech off the ground, i.e. the climate-neutral generation of electricity. Only then can e-mobility be said to benefit the environment. What is urgently needed for this are inexpensive energy and metal raw materials.

Investors are currently positioning themselves for the year-end rally. To that end, today, we look at three exciting and very different stocks. BYD has become Tesla's biggest competitor. But the "honeymoon" for electric vehicles in China is coming to an end, analysts say. What is the story? Bayer has increasingly emerged from the shadow of the glyphosate issue this year. Now it is here, the oil embargo against Russia. The oil price was volatile before, and now with the new sanctions, it could get even more chaotic. The International Energy Agency fears that Russia could significantly reduce its oil production. That would cause the supply on the market to drop sharply and the oil price to rise. If there is a global recession, this will reduce demand, but due to the steadily increasing population, the need for oil continues to grow. As of November, there are 8 billion people living on our planet. The supply of oil will remain important in the coming years. We, therefore, take a look at three companies in the sector.
