Evotec, Defence Therapeutics, Formycon - Who will benefit from Omicron?
The Coronavirus has shown that without biotechnology and ongoing research, we are relatively defenseless against the whims of nature. What would have happened if novel technology had not been available to produce potent vaccines in a very short time? Would our intensive care units have been as crowded as they were in Italy at the beginning of the pandemic? Would hospital triage be the norm today? No one can say for sure, but history has shown how epidemics - such as the Spanish flu - have claimed many lives in the past.

Cardiol, Novavax, Valneva - Why it's worth buying now!
The trading week is coming to an end and on Thursday the German benchmark index DAX continues to trade below the psychological mark of 16,000 points at a level of 15,785 points and an increase of 0.10%. The rest of today and Friday remain to make a jump. It will probably depend on the guidance from the U.S., but at the hour, U.S. futures are all green. MDAX last traded at 34,135 points (+0.07%), TecDAX at 3,544 points (+0.07%) and SDAX at 15,626 points up 0.33%. Companies from the biotech sector are again in the focus of the investors today.

BrainChip, Prospect Ridge Resources, ASML - Ready for the mass market
Sentiment on the stock market continues to cloud over. Investors worry that the US Federal Reserve will fight the sharp rise in inflation by intervening more quickly with several interest rate hikes, causing prices worldwide to plummet. There is hardly any movement on the precious metals market, with gold remaining in the USD 1,800 range. On the other hand, the stock of a next-generation chip producer, which seems ready for the mass market, has moved.

Nel ASA, Alerio Gold, Siemens - Difficult times
Following the outbreak of the Corona pandemic, with its lockdowns and restrictions, the DAX has been going nowhere but up since its low of 7968.50 points on March 16, 2020. The world's leading indices also posted one high after another. Now the mood is changing due to fears of a tighter monetary policy by central banks. The question will be whether financial guardians can contain skyrocketing inflation rates without choking off growth. Along the way, the focus is likely to be on the sovereign debt ratios, which are rising sharply. It is unlikely to be possible to raise key interest rates too much. Therefore, even if the precious metals remain in a short-term correction, gold is likely to be one of the winners of the current process.

Valneva, XPhyto, BioNTech - This is the breakthrough
The shares of vaccine manufacturers are currently experiencing a rollercoaster ride. While BioNTech, Pfizer and Moderna vaccines, based on mRNA technology, continue to reduce their incredible stock market valuation, Valneva, the manufacturer of an inactivated vaccine, has made a brilliant comeback on the stock market floor. The reasons for the good mood were positive data regarding the neutralization of the Omicron variant, which pushed the share up by more than 30% after trading hours.

Gold rush in the lithium market: BMW, Yorkton Ventures, Rock Tech Lithium
An entire industry is turning itself inside out. The revolution in the car market will pick up speed in the coming years. Between 2022 and 2026 alone, market experts expect sales of electric cars in Germany to double. So it is no wonder that a gold-rush mood is already spreading around some companies. BYD, Almonty Industries, Varta - E-mobility needs critical metals!
The pandemic has disrupted supply chains in the raw materials sector. In Brandenburg, a new Tesla electric car is expected to roll off the assembly line every 45 seconds in the future. But the permits for the water supply are dragging on. The new plant was supposed to go "online" in 2021. In addition to the regulatory requirements, however, it is primarily the availability of scarce raw materials that hamper the innovative spirit of the high-tech industry today. In particular, metals and battery raw materials are in high demand and have become a bone of contention in globalization. We look at both sides of the increasingly complex supply relationship.

NEL, dynaCERT, Volkswagen: Will the last be first?
Energy prices are going through the roof. Anyone who has to change their energy supplier these days is in for a surprise. Surcharges of 50% and more for electricity and gas are not uncommon. In this context, questions about the drives of the future are becoming louder again. Although hydrogen also has a high energy requirement, the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Technology promotes green hydrogen as a lower levy under the Renewable Energy Sources Act. Reason enough to take a closer look at some stocks related to hydrogen and mobility.
