TeamViewer, Aspermont, ProSiebenSat.1 Media - Digital business models booming
The Corona Crisis has shown that digital business models are booming, whereas conventional business models suffered from the lockdown. If you want to look at it positively, the crisis has led to a digitalization push and new business models. Restaurants suddenly switched to online ordering, seminars are held online, and virtual trade shows are also on the rise. On the stock market, too, some companies are increasingly focusing on digitized business models. Today we take a closer look at three of them.

Osino Resources, Barrick, First Majestic - Winners for 2022!
Historically, the current gold price level of a good USD 1,800 per troy ounce can be considered high. This year, gold producers were able to post record profits. In the medium term, many things point to rising precious metal prices. Decisive framework conditions are the low-interest rate level, inflation, economic growth, the condition of the stock markets, the level of gold reserves, and the long-term production outlook.

Allianz, Prospect Ridge Resources, Amazon - Who will follow Tesla in 2022?
The stock market year 2021 will go down in history as a record year. In the elite group of the five largest technology companies, the so-called FAANGs, Alphabet and Apple are on track to deliver the best returns to investors this year. Shares of the digital advertising giant and parent company of the Google search engine are up more than 70% this year, while the iPhone maker is up 39%. After a rally in recent days, however, the shares of Nvidia and Tesla are at the top of the NDX with +164 and 82%, respectively. These results have come in an environment where many companies have struggled with supply chain disruptions, labor shortages and rising material costs. Can this even be topped in 2022?

BASF, Meta Materials, Siemens Gamesa - Significant acceleration
The stock market year 2021, an extremely successful one, is almost history. As expected, due to the Corona pandemic, vaccine manufacturers such as BioNTech, Moderna and Valneva are among the new stock market stars. In the technology sector, chip manufacturers such as Nvidia and AMD performed particularly well, boosted by the shortage of semiconductors. Which themes will dominate the coming stock market year? In addition to cloud computing and artificial intelligence, companies focusing on new materials essential for the future are likely to benefit.

Steinhoff, Troilus Gold, Agnico Eagle - The final sprint is underway
The DAX, which was almost unstoppable before the Christmas holidays, is making a final sprint in the last days of the old stock market year. Investors' hopes for milder developments in the highly contagious omicron variant are pushing the stock market barometer close to the psychologically important mark of 16,000 points. What will happen next year? Many market participants already see a stronger correction ahead, and others assume new highs due to the continued cheap money. Opinions are also divided on precious metals.

Tesla, Altech Advanced Materials, BYD - The battle for the battery of the future
Since climate change has become the focus of public attention, the goal of many countries is to reduce emissions. The transportation sector is the second-largest CO2 emitter; this includes motor vehicles. E-cars still cost significantly more than the conventional combustion engine because their batteries are still so expensive. Called out are costs under USD 100 per kilowatt-hour to bring the two vehicles together in price. Many different battery manufacturers are trying to improve the battery. Ideally, more energy can be stored, promising more range, the lifespan should be increased, and the batteries should become safer. Today, we look at three companies that have already made it a good bit of the way.

Novavax, XPhyto Therapeutics, Bayer - Corona shares for 2022!
The head of the Robert Koch Institute, Lothar Wieler, warned a few days ago that the healthcare system would be overburdened and critical care structures impaired if the feared Omicron wave could not be curbed. This situation illustrates that the pandemic is far from letting us go. Vaccine manufacturers and pharmaceutical companies will continue to benefit. Their shares should also be on the winning side next year.

BioNTech, Pfizer, Defence Therapeutics, Valneva - The Corona year 2022 is coming
The German government has moved its goal of vaccinating 80% of the population against the coronavirus at least once into the new year. The targeted quota is now to be achieved by the end of January, a government spokesman told the press. The background is that only 73.4% of the population has been vaccinated so far, and the missing 5.3 million first-time vaccinations could hardly be achieved by January 7. The interim goal of 30 million vaccinations by the end of the year, on the other hand, will most likely be met after Christmas, government sources say. The general vaccination obligation is to come on the agenda of the Federal Parliament in the first meeting week in the new year. Thus also the year 2022 will stand under the star "Corona". The following shares are part of the orchestra.

Upcoming hydrogen and cannabis boom - Nel ASA, Ayurcann, Canopy Growth
These two completely different sectors have one thing in common. After both cannabis stocks and hydrogen sector companies multiplied in the past, a significant correction set in during the stock market year soon ending. This correction is likely to continue into the new year 2022. In the long term, however, there are outstanding opportunities both for cannabis, through legalization in various European countries, and for hydrogen, urgently needed for the energy transition. It is time to position yourself.

Barrick Gold, Rock Tech Lithium, Alerio Gold: 2022 - Precious metals instead of lithium?
Lithium was one of the high flyers among commodities in 2021. Will 2022 see a comeback in precious metals and mining stocks in particular? Many investors ask themselves this at the end of a horror year for gold and silver. The industry has not benefited from the significant rise in inflation this year. While the gold price has "only" lost around 6% in 2021, the impacts on mining stocks have been more severe. The GDX has lost about 20%, and the GDXJ almost 30%. At the same time, with a current gold price of around USD 1,800, good money can be earned, and the exploration of new projects also makes sense. Shares like cash machine Barrick and newcomer Alerio are worth a look. But lithium will also remain in demand. Tesla neighbor Rock Tech could benefit from this.
