BYD, Altech Advanced Materials, Varta - Breakthrough in the battery market

  • Battery
  • Lithium

Electromobility is considered a key technology in the transformation of the transport sector. In 2021 alone, the number of new registrations and the market share of battery-powered vehicles more than doubled. In addition to the charging infrastructure, efficiency plays a decisive role in the expansion of e-cars. Another obstacle to rapid growth is likely to be the shortage of lithium, an essential raw material for the production of lithium-ion batteries, due to the high demand. A German company is about to start a revolution with new innovative technology. The main component of the new battery is regular table salt, which is available in extremely large quantities and is produced in highly diversified regions.

Rheinmetall, Defense Metals, MP Materials - The trend persists

And once again, the recently started upward movement on the stock markets is abruptly ended by new inflation data from the US. Consumer prices rose by 8.3% last month, the core rate by 6.3%. The figures were thus once again higher than economists' estimates, making further interest rate hikes more likely. Higher interest rates are a further burden on the economy. In addition, high demand is causing prices for urgently needed raw materials to rise further.

Aspermont, Allkem, K+S - Shares for the fast lane

  • Digitization
  • Fintech
  • Lithium

We are living in turbulent times on the stock markets. War, energy crisis and inflation are shaping the moods of market participants. Anticipatory action and understanding the "big picture" and the long-term correlations between supply and demand are part of a stock market trader's toolkit. Exaggerations and understatements are part of the package. There is no getting around shares as a long-term form of investment. Because as stock market veteran André Kostolany said, "If you want to eat well, buy stocks; if you want to sleep well, buy bonds."

Analysts are bullish on BYD, less bullish on Varta and news from Infinity Stone Ventures

  • Mining
  • Commodities
  • Electromobility
  • Lithium

In terms of sales figures, BYD has already overtaken industry star Tesla. But the share could not benefit from this due to the partial sales of major shareholder Berkshire Hathaway. After the price slide, it now seems to be regaining its footing. Analysts are bullish and see great opportunities for the Chinese e-car maker in foreign expansion, among other things. Experts see few opportunities at Varta at the moment, and the chart is battered. Most recently, an analyst reduced the price target to EUR 65. The newsflow currently offers little hope. Infinity Stone Ventures is an entirely different story. The specialist for critical raw materials in Canada benefits from the political environment and is expanding its lithium areas. More news can be expected in the fall.

End of capitalism? Here comes growth! Mercedes-Benz, BrainChip, Amazon

These days, the book The End of Capitalism by TAZ journalist Ulrike Herrmann is causing quite a stir. Its basic tenor is that the growth story is coming to an end. In order to achieve climate targets, it is now a matter of shrinking in the right way. Even if many readers might have spontaneously rolled their eyes at both the title and Ms Herrmann's employer, it is worth taking a closer look. Here is why the growth of the future offers opportunities.

In view of exploding gas prices and the great dependence on Russia's energy supplies, efforts to expand the supply of renewable energies are a top priority worldwide. Green hydrogen is seen as a clean energy source with a bright future. Massive subsidies around the globe could soon herald a boom in this sector.

TUI, Almonty Industries, Bayer - Rebound after the sell-off?

  • Mining

  • travel

Since September 8, the DAX has gained over 700 points despite inflation, a halt in Russian gas supplies and fears of recession. Inflation was 7.9% in August. The ECB's interest rate hike seems to have reassured many investors. The question remains whether the indices will again move to new highs. The S&P has broken its downward trend channel on a daily basis. No uptrend has been formed yet, but as long as the last lows are not broken again, it will continue to go up according to the chart technique. We therefore take a look at three companies that were recently sold off strongly and see whether there could be a sustainable rebound.

Up and away! Lufthansa, TUI, Viva Gold, Aston Martin - Turnaround stocks take off!

The warlike activities in Ukraine now seem to be entering a critical phase. It appears that the resistance forces have been able to wrest important sections of land from the Russian aggressor. While we should not dream of a quick end to the war, a spark of hope remains. With inflation data remaining high, investors are predominantly looking for stability. Wildly fluctuating stock and crypto prices have become daily companions, and even real estate markets are no longer immune to corrections in the face of rising interest rates and skyrocketing construction costs. Thus, the focus is on stocks that have already endured a long period of suffering.

BioNTech, Cardiol Therapeutics, Bayer - Caution, turnaround!

  • Biotechnology
  • Turnaround

The market correction due to geopolitical uncertainties and fears of further interest rate hikes mainly affected growth stocks in recent months, with the capital-intensive biotech sector losing disproportionately. However, the industry is growing dynamically and will become increasingly important in the coming years in the fields of application of the pharmaceutical and chemical industry, in the agricultural and food sector and in environmental protection. Due to the market correction, there are currently enormous opportunities for a turnaround in selected stocks.

Back to basics: JinkoSolar, Alpha Copper, Varta

Without energy, everything is nothing. Every craft business, for example, in metal processing, depends on energy. The need in industry is much greater. But how can investors profit from the energy turnaround? Are the obvious stocks really the best choice? Or is it more promising to think very fundamentally? Here is an analysis between groundbreaking opportunities and solid basic investments.
