Hydrogen can power electric motors, store energy and heat homes with the help of fuel cells. Because of these properties, the most common chemical element in the universe plays a vital role in the energy transition and CO2 neutrality. Shares in hydrogen companies were the stars of the stock market sky last year, alongside electric carmakers. Then came a sharp correction. Currently, most companies have finished their bottoming phase and are turning north again. Do not miss the second chance!

NEL, Plug Power, dynaCERT - Hydrogen, here we go again!

  • Hydrogen

What momentum! In just 6 weeks, hydrogen stocks have gained up to 60% again. Of course, those who missed the first wave are happy. Maybe it will work out now with the second one. The framework parameters are suitable because both the EU and Joe Biden have agreed on more hydrogen within the climate targets. Germany's significant contribution to climate protection can create applications in these sectors that operate with low emissions using hydrogen. An important focus in developing a German hydrogen economy and strategy should therefore be the commercialization of applications.

Nel ASA, Mineworx Technologies, Volkswagen - The next stage ignited

  • Investments

Without question, electric cars are the big winners of the mobility revolution. If Germany wants to meet the targets of the Paris climate agreement, CO2 emissions are to fall by at least 50% by 2030. This seals the slow farewell to combustion engines. But now, new problems are emerging concerning electromobility. In addition to the scarcity of the required raw materials, the issue of recycling the batteries and recovering the raw materials is coming up. Here, a market worth billions opens up with huge potential for the respective companies.

NEL, Plug Power, Royal Helium - Things could get explosive here!

  • Helium

The energy turnaround in Europe is tied to several factors. On the one hand, it is about reducing emissions, especially of harmful climate gases. On the other hand, companies want to leave a green footprint because it is good for the public reputation and opens other doors of refinancing on the investor level. Concerning ESG criteria, we certainly want to attribute ethical, ecological reasons to most companies. Nevertheless, the road to greater climate neutrality is still rocky and cost-intensive for most. Another prerequisite is that substitute materials and environmentally friendly precursors are equally subject to scarcity since supply chains have been broken. Therefore, the pivotal point for climate-oriented business is the factual competence of the "how," then the necessary means, and finally, the material availability.

Plug Power, NEL, Pure Extraction: Hydrogen on hold - here is what's next

  • Hydrogen

Hydrogen is clean and suitable for storing large amounts of energy. Especially around trucks, ships and even airplanes, the technology is under discussion. Moreover, if the hydrogen is produced using renewable energies, the energy source is even essentially climate-neutral. Nevertheless, the sky is not currently full of violins for all hydrogen companies. Why? The competition is growing, and not every area of application is proving to have a promising future.

FuelCell, NEL, Enapter - Hydrogen on the rise again!

  • Hydrogen

It was quiet around the hydrogen stocks for a few months. Although we see high stock market turnover, the prices tended to move sideways. Yesterday there was good quarterly news from Plug Power, sales are increasing, but the loss continued to grow because of their high investment costs. The whole industry was caught in the downward trend, but in the last 4 weeks, there was a small revival of the stocks. The independent research organization SINTEF from Norway forecasts a massive market for hydrogen with a demand of over 100 million tons by 2050. We take a brief look at the protagonists' cards.

Royal Dutch Shell, Sierra Growth, Nel ASA - Stocks with increased profit opportunities

  • Investments

Since the markets have been climbing incessantly, it is not easy to find exciting stocks with potential. Most of the time, the ratios are already much too high, such as the price-earnings ratio (P/E) or the price-sales ratio (P/S). It is crucial to quickly detect new trends and get in on time before the party is over. In the coming week, an important date is coming up for the large US big tech companies. The House Judiciary Committee will vote on some anti-trust legislation. As a result, tech stocks should be cautious. Today we have picked out three stocks where we think profit opportunities are particularly promising.

Nel ASA, Plug Power, Deutsche Rohstoff AG: Oil explosion or hydrogen hype?

  • Oil

Brent prices are going through the roof! The stock markets have to digest their COVID trauma, and China is hoarding oil and other commodities to satisfy the upcoming boom. Many consumers worldwide are waiting for the delivery of their long-ordered products. Problem: Shortages of raw materials and chips are causing massive delivery delays around the globe. Then there were events like the blockade of the Suez Canal or the restrictive stance of OPEC. One would like to keep prices high; at least the Federal Reserve recently sounded the alarm: 5% inflation in a monthly rate! Warning shot or starting trend?

Nel ASA, Pure Extraction Corp., Ballard Power - Advantage hydrogen!

  • Hydrogen

While the stock market darlings of the past year, hydrogen shares, are still working on their chart-technical bottoming phases after heavy price losses in the spring, the topic is at the center of political attention concerning the energy turnaround. According to the Ministry of Economic Affairs, hydrogen is the missing piece of the puzzle so that climate protection can succeed in industry and the economy remains competitive at the same time. This week alone, the federal government released EUR 1 billion in funding for six hydrogen projects in Bavaria.
