The suspected downward pressure due to uncertainties in the economy and geopolitics has so far failed to materialize. Instead, the most important stock indices, such as DAX or Dow Jones, were able to leave their short-term downward trends and are sending signals for a further upward push. In addition to the stock market, the precious metals sector was also able to turn around. Here, in particular, entry opportunities beckon at a significantly reduced level with the chance of long-term, disproportionate price gains.

The German Retail Association reports that Christmas sales this year could suffer from poor consumer sentiment. The culprit - who would have thought - inflation. We explain that the fight against inflation is anything but a foregone conclusion and how investors can potentially make a big profit from the current mixed situation, using the three shares below as examples.

Commerzbank, Aspermont, Munich Re - Financial stocks on the upswing

The end of the ultra-loose monetary policy and several larger interest rate steps already showed up positively in the half-year report of the major German banks. Should the ECB follow its big brother overseas, this promises further significant earnings potential. Financing platforms that combine the supply of scarce, promising commodity projects for the energy transition with demand from the capital market also hold great promise.

"The World Is Not Enough" is a James Bond movie title. In real life, too, the rich and powerful have long been pushing into other spheres. In addition to an inflation rate of almost 10%, the first increases in utility costs are now fluttering into citizens' mailboxes. As already feared, the extreme increase in the cost of energy and electricity is putting a heavy strain on monthly budgets. Whether there can still be a vacation in 2023 will be decided by the length of the Russia conflict, which has kept fossil energy prices high so far. As investors can easily see, the high oil and gas prices are contributing to negative effects in almost all sectors; especially in winter, the supply situation in Central Europe is likely to be very tight. Which stocks should investors watch out for now?

After price shocks and recession fears, the pandemic has also been back in the public eye since last week. German Health Minister Karl Lauterbach presented the vaccination strategy for the fall - and warned of an autumn wave. On the markets, the pandemic should be over, with a few exceptions. But Corona and BioNTech are suitable blueprints for other companies. We explain where else a special boom could occur and where investors are better off being cautious.

As Handelsblatt wrote yesterday, inflation may have peaked: The oil price and freight rate curves are now pointing downward again. Grain exports from Ukraine have also caused food prices to fall again. This is a ray of hope for the economy. Financial stocks, in particular, could enjoy an attractive market environment in just a few months. We highlight the two major German banks, Deutsche Bank and Commerzbank, and the Australian fintech and media company, Aspermont.

Commerzbank, Triumph Gold, Bitcoin Group - Inflation alert! Which stocks bring returns in this market environment?

  • Gold

We have not seen such high inflation for decades. Looking back, it becomes clear that one cannot compare the situation back then with today. Back then, interest rates were at 12%, and as a saver, you could generate an increase in value for your money despite inflation. Today, interest rates are much lower than inflation. Putting money in a savings account will not bring any investor a profit. If you want to protect your money, the first thing that comes to mind is gold because it is considered crisis-proof. But nowadays, it almost seems as if cryptocurrencies could outperform gold. Alternatively, one can bet on stocks that cover these areas. We take a closer look at three companies.

Deutsche Bank, Commerzbank, wallstreet:online, Allianz - High turnover, wild prices - what are brokers and financial stocks doing?

  • Investments
  • Inflation

In addition to the high price increases and the permanently rising interest rates, the highest volatility has now broken out on the stock exchanges. Investors have to adjust to new scenarios almost every day, especially the timing of the news about the state of the international economy is causing more and more headaches for economists. That is because the increased prices of raw materials are now considered standard and put a strain on the purchase prices of intermediate products and the calculation of the Company's own supply list. In some cases, this leads to dramatic adjustments, as impressively demonstrated by the manufacturer price index with +33.6% in May. How are the financial and broker stocks doing in this swing market?

Deutsche Bank, Barsele Minerals, Commerzbank - Weak share prices offer opportunities!

The times of ultra-loose monetary policy by central banks are history. While the inflation rate in the US exploded to 8.6% in May, the FED is forced to ring in further interest rate steps. After raising the key interest rate by half a percentage point last month, experts expect additional steps between 0.5% and 0.75%. On the other hand, the stalling of the economic engine and the increased risk of a recession speak against further drastic interest rate steps. Due to this fact, gold stocks should benefit in the long term, even if they are dragged down in the current market weakness.
