Tesla, wallstreet:online, Amazon: Buckle up!

  • Investments

Today's markets have to accept high losses on a broad front. The reasons cited are, of course, the rising number of infections and the fear of a new lockdown due to the corona pandemic. Despite the strong recovery since March, do we still see a W formation with new lows? That would probably be a disaster for some industries. Others, as absurd as it sounds, would benefit from home offices and boredom within their own four walls. In addition to e-commerce companies like Amazon, online brokers reported rising Q2 figures and a sharp increase in the number of new accounts opened, almost through the entire sector. Generation Z discovered the fun of gambling and, as can be seen in the example of Robinhood in the USA, provided for a high increase in trading activity. You will certainly not lose this if you have to stay at home again.

Delivery Hero, PayPal, Wallstreet Online: Which stock hits the spirit of the times?

  • Investments

A recent study by the industry association Bitkom showed, even seniors are not averse to ordering online. Specifically, the survey was about food orders on the Internet. Almost a third of the seniors who otherwise order online also come for groceries. To what extent this investigation precisely reflects the truth remains open. But it shows one thing: The world has been changing even more since Corona than it was already. Some companies benefit from it. One example is the Delivery Hero. The company has specialized in selling food online and offers a delivery service. The DAX group is not at all active in Germany, but that does not matter to investors: Over the course of a year, the share went up a whopping 140%. But what about the potential?

Snowflake, Wallstreet:Online, Commerzbank - Investors reward success

  • Investments

Scalable business models are popular with investors. A specific infrastructure, service or product can be offered by the provider to an increasing number of customers at no noticeable additional cost. These often exponential growth rates make the providers' coffers ring. The stock markets usually reward the rosy outlook with strong price gains. If, on the other hand, the growth story is missing, investors can already be satisfied with a sideways movement.

Triumph Gold, TUI, wallstreet:online - Special situations with potential

  • Special situations

Two stock splits are scheduled for next week, which will be the focus of investors. This type of capital measure is usually chosen to make the share price look good again and thereby increase the trading volume. In the case of Apple, one share becomes four new shares, which means that whoever holds one share on the record date will subsequently hold a total of four new shares. In theory, the share price should then be 75% lower. In the case of Tesla, a split in the ratio 1 to 5 is imminent. At its recent annual general meeting, wallstreet:online AG even approved a share split of 1 to 8. Ultimately, however, it is crucial how high the market capitalization is in order to be able to evaluate the potential of a company.

EXMCEUTICALS INC., SATURN OIL & GAS INC., WALLSTREET:ONLINE AG - WHICH PEARL IS MOST UNDERVALUED?

  • Small Caps

The largest listed companies around the globe have been experiencing brisk demand for their shares for several years in connection with the interest rate policy of the ECB and the Fed. On the one hand investors invest directly in the shares of these companies due to their high tradability, but on the other hand the market share of passively managed products such as ETFs and certificates is growing. People are looking less and less into the balance sheets of small cap stocks. In view of the fact that this year's German Equity Forum will take place in Frankfurt next week, interested institutional investors, analysts and journalists will again have the opportunity to talk intensively about business development with decision-makers from listed small cap companies.
