The Greentech rally continues: Shares of ThyssenKrupp, Manuka Resources, BYD and Varta in focus

The pessimists among economists were proven wrong at the beginning of the year. No, the German GDP did not fall in 2022, but rose by a full 1.9%. Who would have thought that with the supply chain problems, growth would be possible at all? Due to the war in Ukraine, rising energy prices and record inflation, economic regeneration in 2022 turned out surprisingly better than expected. This is due to various special effects, such as restructuring our energy supply, which positively affected the German economy. So far, there has also been no gas emergency, which would have weighed heavily on industry. We look at opportunities in the emerging Greentech industry.

Super Bowl spoils Tesla's bullish mood: Plug Power, First Hydrogen, Nel, ThyssenKrupp - Hydrogen is taking off!

In a true football thriller, the Kansas City Chiefs narrowly defeated their opponents Philadelphia Eagles, just before the end of the game. But it was not just on the field that fans were treated to a spectacle. The commercials during the billion-dollar live broadcast were also eye-catchers, as they are every year. One Super Bowl commercial was a good fight against Tesla's "Full Self Driving" (FSD) mode. Software entrepreneur Dan O'Dowd invested a total of USD 598,000 in his "Dawn Project" campaign. According to its homepage, its goal is to make computers safer for humanity. In the case of Tesla's FSD installations, the campaign sees this as not guaranteed and even judges them to be life-threatening for other road users. From Tesla's side, the content of the commercial was described as "fake". Exciting to see how this case will turn out. We turn away from e-mobility and look at the opportunities for hydrogen.

Almonty Industries, ThyssenKrupp, Volkswagen - Tungsten: The raw material for high-tech applications!

  • Electromobility

Tungsten is a rare and valuable metal with a high melting point, hardness, corrosion resistance and good electrical and thermal conductivity. It is widely used in industry, national defence and high-tech applications. An important use of tungsten is in alloys, especially steel, where it increases the melting point, hardness and wear resistance. Now applications could be expanded even further. Researchers have developed a cathode material made from a molybdenum tungsten niobate alloy that can be used to charge electric cars in minutes.

200% possible at ThyssenKrupp and Tocvan Ventures, and question marks at VW and BASF

As we approach the end of the year, it is difficult to separate the real economic opportunities from the current war and crisis scenarios. The forecasting institutes are also poking around in the fog with their statements for 2023, with a still conciliatory economic development at the zero line being defined subject to falling interest rates and declining inflation. Under the sword of Damocles of a possible gas crisis starting in March, however, all predictions turn negative because Germany as an industrial location is already struggling considerably with the energy and electricity price increases. So how do you select a top performer for the portfolio?

Hydrogen shares - Environmental technology to take off in 2023: Plug Power, dynaCERT, ThyssenKrupp and Uniper

  • Hydrogen
  • climatechange
  • GreenTech

As we look ahead into the new year 2023, hydrogen technology could positively contribute to the energy transition for the first time. The key factors are the stroke rate, the price and the quantity that can be generated in an environmentally friendly manner to industrial standards. Plug Power, one of the market leaders in modern fuel cell systems, will bring H2 technology to market in large-scale production. Canada's dynaCERT is already delivering good H2 augmentation systems, and Germany could once again become an engineering hub. Where are the opportunities for investors?

Hydrogen from Qatar: Nel, Plug Power, dynaCERT and ThyssenKrupp, winners in H2 fever!

"The accelerated expansion of hydrogen supply chains is central to the transition to sustainable energy." Economics Minister Habeck welcomed the planned cooperation between German companies and Emirati producers of hydrogen. For this purpose, there is a new research cooperation between the Fraunhofer Institute and the Ministry of Energy of the United Arab Emirates. Of particular interest to Germany is the production, storage and delivery of green hydrogen to the EU. Whether the FIFA World Cup will help to deepen industrial relations in this field is not certain. But what is important is that hydrogen technology is finally gaining momentum worldwide. We take a look at the protagonists in the round-up for important investments.

Almonty Industries, ThyssenKrupp, Varta - Earning from growing tungsten demand

  • Mining
  • Tungsten
  • renewableenergies

In 2021, 79,000 metric tons of tungsten were mined worldwide from existing mines. In 2015, production was still 89,400 tons. One might think that demand has declined and production has been cut back, but the opposite is true. According to the British Geological Survey report, demand will increase between 3% and 7% per year and will soon exceed available supply. But now, demand could increase significantly in the short term because US Department of Energy DOE researchers have found a way to charge electric cars in 15 minutes. This involves using a molybdenum tungsten niobate alloy as the cathode material instead of graphite. So we take a look at three companies around tungsten.

What the heat turnaround means for copper: Siemens Energy, Kodiak Copper, ThyssenKrupp

Investors looking for the latest trends often focus on metals such as rare earths, vanadium and lithium. But if you want to get the future into your portfolio, you don't have to rely on exotic elements; copper offers the best conditions. As the British Building Services Research and Information Association (BSRIA) has shown on behalf of the International Copper Association, the demand for copper alone for climate-related refurbishment will increase to 160,000t by 2035 from the current 40,000t. That represents an annual growth rate of around 10%. We highlight three companies around the trend.

Varta, Kleos Space, ThyssenKrupp: Wrongly valued? It cannot be!

What a wild ride! The US technology exchange NASDAQ fell by a full 33% in the last 12 months, while the German standard share index DAX fell by only 16%. That is astonishing because the leading German index usually reacts disproportionately to the US growth stocks. Ultimately, however, it is becoming clear that foreigners dominate German share prices. After all, if the euro's currency losses are considered, both indices are back on par. The euro has, after all, also depreciated by 15% since a year ago. Some high-tech stocks in Germany lost significantly more than average. We take a closer look.

Currently, the daily news is not a source of much joy. However, there are opportunities in many of the reports that can quickly turn into cash after the current correction. It seems crucial to focus on stocks that, despite an adverse environment, keep their medium-term goals in mind and can demonstrate a robust business model. Here are some examples showing long-term development potential.
