BYD, NIO, Nikola, Nevada Copper - The Tesla hunters step on the gas!

  • Copper

The appointment of the candidates for chancellor in Germany has led to a significant increase in the Green Party. While at the same time, the current government parties have been punished. For consumers, this means continued tax incentives of the highest magnitude for so-called "environmentally friendly technologies," which, in addition to solar panels and wind power, include above all battery-powered mobility and hybrid vehicles. The German Federal Office of Economics and Export Control (BAFA) is subsidizing the purchase of electric cars throughout Germany until the end of 2025 - this year, the bonus is particularly high. This environmental bonus supports not only the purchase but also the leasing of electric cars. One half of the subsidy comes from the manufacturer, the second half from BAFA. The stock market likes to hear this, and the manufacturers' shares are selling like hotcakes. It seems that this bull market can start again with every political statement.

BYD, Saturn Oil & Gas, BP - There will be no world without oil!

  • Oil

While Europe is discussing carbon taxes, coal phase-out and wind power, the global energy supply is still firmly in the hands of fossil giants such as Saudi Aramco, Exxon Mobil and Shell. Just under four-fifths of global demand was still met by coal, oil, and gas last year, despite increasing wind and solar plants. Oil prices have since recovered from the massive slump caused by the Corona pandemic. Demand due to the resurgent economy is rising. The major beneficiaries are the producers.

Rock Tech Lithium, BYD, Millennial Lithium - The lithium boom is coming!

  • Lithium

The lithium theme is gaining tremendous momentum. According to Bloomberg data, junior lithium companies have already raised about USD 530 million this year. One of the largest capital raises has been Lithium Americas Corp. which has raised a total of USD 500 million through placements in 6 months. The reason for this high level of activity is the announcements by the automotive industry that they plan to invest record amounts in mobile battery technology over the next 5 years. We are talking about a total of over USD 50 billion that Tesla & Co. will soon be launching in order to get their hands on future mobility. Climate change activists should be happy about this. Here are a selection of stocks that are putting the pedal to the metal on this.

BYD, Defense Metals, Plug Power - China first!

  • RareEarths

Cars are to run on electricity, trucks are to be powered by hydrogen, and in the future, wind turbines, solar panels and hydroelectric power plants will generate the electricity. All well and good, but beware, dear climate activists, wind, solar energy and electromobility require mineral raw materials that also leave an ecological footprint when they are extracted. These raw materials are not produced in our country, but almost 80% in China. Due to the Middle Kingdom's demand and the ongoing trade war, the Western world is threatened by a shortage of resources, which endangers the well-intentioned but poorly prepared energy transition.

BYD, Rock Tech Lithium, Varta: The mobility revolution starts now

  • Lithium

Nowadays, when major automakers run commercials, they are almost always exclusively ads for electric cars. Even if e-cars were a fig leaf for automakers until recently, they are now getting serious. Volkswagen announced an electrification offensive weeks ago and emphasized its intention to invest massively in its supply chains, referring to battery metals and batteries. This commitment is also urgently needed - competitors from the Far East have already come a long way.

BYD, Kleos Space, SAP - The oil of the future!

  • Space

Data is an extremely important raw material in today's world. Big Data, the evaluation and processing of large amounts of data using artificial intelligence, will almost certainly become one of the hype topics on the markets in the next few years. The development is still in its infancy. However, the enormous growth rates and the need for intelligent data for almost every industry can already be seen in the few listed companies, such as the US data analysis specialist Palantir Technologies. In addition to Palantir, which currently has a market capitalization of almost USD 50 billion, there are smaller players with huge potential.

Electromobility, energy and digitalization are continuing as a trend. Even if some prices have run hot in the meantime, the current price consolidation offers tempting entry opportunities. With the three shares presented, investors can bet on different facets of the trend. Which stock offers the most significant potential?

Sierra Growth, BYD, Ballard Power - Copper versus hydrogen!

Emission-free mobility - who will make the race? In the last 3 weeks, there have been strong movements in battery metals. Nickel almost doubled to USD 19,500 within 12 months, followed by a correction to USD 16,000 in April. Copper fared better. Here the price fell back from USD 9,500 to USD 8,750. However, the gain over the year for both metals is still just under 100%. In the first quarter of 2021, there was a jolt in the development towards e-mobility because VW blew the big attack against Tesla. After all, VW sells 10 times more cars than its Californian competitor, and now the battle for electric customers is really getting underway...

BYD, Silkroad Nickel, Nornickel: Who will profit from the electric boom?

  • Nickel

Visionaries often stand alone at the beginning of their journey. When Tesla invited German journalists to test drives sometime around 2011, the "electric car" project was still a vision of the future. But already after this press event, something had changed in the public's consciousness. The incredible acceleration of the first Tesla Roadster put a smile on the faces of all test drivers. Even the biggest doubters were at least appeased and interested in what was still to come from Tesla. The rest is history. Today, companies like Volkswagen and Daimler are also emulating Elon Musk's visionaries. But for electromobility to become mainstream, it depends not only on innovative manufacturers of electric cars but also on the supply of raw materials. We present three companies.

BYD, Silkroad Nickel, NIO - Elon Musk: "mine more nickel!"

  • Nickel

As electromobility emerges, global demand for certain metals will increase sharply in the coming years. The metals lithium, cobalt and nickel, are crucial for the production of lithium-ion batteries. Nickel, not lithium, takes the rank as the key metal, especially since an increased nickel content dramatically increases the efficiency of the batteries. The Tesla founder already addressed mining companies years ago with an urgent appeal.
