Gold records, Sibanye Stillwater, Equinox: Why the USD 5,000 scenario is becoming reality, and Africa is turning into a jackpot for AJN Resources
January 12, 2026, marks a psychological turning point in financial history. With the Handelsblatt article discussing a potential rise in the price of gold to USD 5,000 per ounce, a scenario that was long considered the domain of apocalyptic optimists has entered the mainstream. But unlike previous cycles, this price increase is not only driven by fear, but by a fundamental realignment of the global monetary architecture and an unprecedented supply shortage. We are in a phase that Goldman Sachs, according to its analyses, describes as the "perfect storm": a mixture of geopolitical fragmentation, an aggressive interest rate turnaround, and structural underinvestment in new mines. While the price of gold already climbed to all-time highs of over USD 3,600 in 2025, indicators for 2026 point to an acceleration. In this environment, a continent that has long been neglected is coming into focus: Africa. While established producers such as Sibanye Stillwater and Equinox Gold are consolidating their positions, explorer AJN Resources offers the leverage that risk-tolerant investors are looking for in the early stages, thanks to its unique structure in Congo and Ethiopia.

Gold rush without toxins: Why Newmont and Equinox are under pressure, and RZOLV Technologies could become the key stock of the new super cycle
Gold is back on the big stage. Driven by geopolitical hot spots, structural weakness in the US dollar, and the insatiable appetite of central banks, the precious metal is racing from one all-time high to the next. But while prices are rising, the situation for mine operators is deteriorating: dependence on highly toxic cyanide is becoming more and more of a problem. Environmental regulations are becoming stricter, approval procedures are dragging on for decades, and social resistance is blocking billion-dollar projects. The technology company RZOLV Technologies is positioning itself in this area of tension between record prices and ecological dead ends. While industry giants such as Newmont and Equinox Gold are looking for ways to secure their production in a sustainable manner, RZOLV is providing the long-awaited technological answer: gold extraction that does not require any toxic chemicals and thus has the potential to reshuffle the cards in global mining.

Alternative to Barrick Mining and Equinox Gold: Why Maduro's fall could drive gold prices higher and make LAURION Mineral a strategic target
The 2026 stock market year is beginning with a geopolitical earthquake whose tectonic shifts will be felt across global commodity markets for a long time to come. The direct intervention of the United States in Venezuela and the effective removal of President Nicolás Maduro have redefined the global security architecture virtually overnight. While Washington celebrates the move as a necessary restoration of democracy in the Western Hemisphere, geopolitical rivals Beijing and Moscow are responding with sharp rhetoric and brusque diplomatic protests. Uncertainty is spreading like wildfire – from the shores of Cuba, where the regime fears for its survival, all the way to Greenland, where major powers are increasingly competing aggressively for strategic spheres of influence. With gold already rising for months amid mounting uncertainty and monetary policy concerns, investors continue to flee to the safe haven. However, while established producers such as Barrick and Equinox absorb the first wave of panic-driven inflows, strategic investors are turning their attention to the few remaining safe jurisdictions such as Canada. Here, specialized explorers like LAURION Mineral Exploration hold precisely the kind of assets that are becoming the most valuable currency in an uncertain world.

Turnaround with a 100% chance in 2026! Novo Nordisk, TeamViewer, Equinox, and Laurion Mineral on the launch pad
The 2025 stock market year did not go well for everyone involved. The stocks in our selection today can tell us a thing or two about how it feels to be at the bottom of the rankings. But sometimes the stock market gets it wrong, because although Novo Nordisk has issued three profit warnings, the Company is still making good money. The situation is similar at TeamViewer, where there have been some disappointments in terms of growth, but the EBIT margin is still above 30%. It is completely incomprehensible that Laurion Minerals is at the bottom of the chart compared to other explorers. The drill results from Ontario show good mineralization values in gold not far from Equinox's Greenstone Mine. With gold prices at USD 4,300, the stock should soon see a surge. We do the math.

Gold rush: After producers Barrick Mining and Equinox Gold, it is now the turn of explorers – why Desert Gold is a takeover candidate
Forecasts for the gold market in 2026 are clear and point to a continuing supercycle. However, while producers such as Barrick Mining and Equinox Gold have already benefited massively from higher gold prices in recent months and expanded their margins, the valuation of exploration companies is still lagging behind. This historical divergence is likely to close in the coming year. Experience shows that capital flows cyclically: first, investors buy the security of cash flows, then they seek the leverage of resource development. In this environment, Desert Gold Ventures is coming into focus. The Company controls one of the largest non-producing land packages in West Africa, and is active precisely where industry giants are urgently searching for new supply.

Equinox Gold, AJN Resources, K92 Mining – Gold boom with clear signals
The price of gold is currently only moving in one direction: Steeply upwards! After jumping above the previous record high of USD 3,500 per ounce, the USD 4,000 mark is now within reach. Central banks are buying massively, and investors are seeking security amid geopolitical crises, thereby driving up prices. Gold mining stocks are now benefiting enormously from this development. We present three stocks that are particularly in focus and are being carried by the current momentum.

Steinhoff, Yamana Gold, Equinox Gold, Osino Resources: Quick profits? What to watch out for!
Speculative small caps and hot penny stocks have their place on the stock market. But because of their risk profile, the stocks must also deliver what they promise. A quotation in the cent range is not enough. An investment is only worthwhile if a typical penny stock price also stands for a low valuation and meets the prospect of revaluation. Which speculative stocks offer opportunities today and what investors should better keep their hands off.
