Things are heating up with Alibaba and Credissential, while Palantir and SAP ride the AI boom
The stock market is picking up speed. In addition to the high-tech and AI fantasy, there are rumors of peace in Ukraine. European equities that are likely to play a role in any reconstruction are attracting a lot of attention. Cement maker Heidelberg Materials has been performing well for weeks, and Siemens is also gaining daily. Outside of geopolitical considerations, SAP remains the only German cloud of hope to be a long-running success. Is a correction possible here? It is difficult to imagine at the moment, so attention is turning to lagging stocks or stocks that have already fully exploited their momentum. For those paying close attention, divergences are visible!

Barrick Gold, First Nordic Metals, MicroStrategy – Profiteers in the bull market
The gold price is unstoppable and reached the USD 2,800 per ounce mark for the first time in its long history during the past trading week. In comparison, gold producers such as Barrick Gold or Newmont are trading well below their highs. However, should the underlying asset remain at this high level, the profits of precious metals companies are likely to skyrocket. By then, producers, as well as exploration companies, should start to catch up.

Palantir, Desert Gold, MicroStrategy – Profits with data, gold, and Bitcoin
In times of looming trade war and high volatility, as recently triggered by DeepSeek, one should invest in booming business models. Otherwise, in these turbulent times, it is wise to move at least part of your portfolio into "safe havens." Traditionally, this has been gold, but for the younger generation, who are more willing to take risks, it is cryptocurrencies. To outperform the market in the long term requires patience and foresight. Today, we look at three companies in the fields of data processing, gold, and cryptocurrencies and examine where the risks and opportunities lie.

Alibaba, Credissential, MicroStrategy – Innovative business models: where is the hidden potential?
This week, the latest announcement by the US Federal Reserve that key interest rates would remain unchanged for the time being only briefly provided some reassurance. Instead, concerns about the ongoing risk of stagflation and the disruptive power of artificial intelligence are dominating the debate. Three companies, seemingly separated by industries and national borders, have more in common than first glance suggests: they have all deeply embedded digitalization in their DNA and are pursuing growth strategies. Today, we look at which business models could face challenges due to US tariffs and which ones appear safe.

4,000% stock Carvana: TeamViewer, Bitcoin Group, Zalando, and Credissential offer opportunities
Away from the big tech stocks, multipliers are waiting. One example from the US is Carvana, which has risen 4,000% in two years. Credissential aims to challenge the online used car dealer. The startup wants to provide brick-and-mortar used car dealers with a response against Carvana using artificial intelligence. Scaling is planned for 2025. If successful, the stock is much too cheap. In the DAX, Zalando offers significant upside potential. The online retailer is back on the growth path and plans to compete with Shein and Temu through the acquisition of About You, with analysts recommending a "Buy". By contrast, TeamViewer's stock lacks momentum. Analyst opinions are divided. And is the Bitcoin Group stock finally waking up?

Novo Nordisk, Desert Gold Ventures, Palantir – AI madness, Trump fuels the gold rush
Things have been moving at a rapid pace since the old and new President of the United States, Donald Trump, took office. Around 80 decrees were signed on the first working day alone. One of the Republican's goals is to make the US the "global hub for crypto and artificial intelligence". With the commitment of over USD 500 billion for the largest AI project in history, the industry is likely to face further appreciation. The price of gold has also increased, and it is now approaching the magic mark of USD 3,000 per ounce. In this context, producers and exploration companies are now likely to tap into their catch-up potential.

D-Wave Quantum with SHARE PRICE EXPLOSION! Next up, Renk and ARI Motors?
D-Wave Quantum's share price exploded by more than 20% yesterday and is back at USD 6 – on Monday, it was still below USD 4. A new cooperation raises hopes for orders from the US government and state authorities. Meanwhile, ARI Motors is also seeing positive developments in its order flow, signaling growth in its niche within electric mobility despite a challenging environment. This makes the stock ripe for a breakout from its sideways trend – and upwards at that. More and more positive news is coming from Renk. The question remains whether the company can catch up with the underperformance seen compared to Rheinmetall and Hensoldt in 2025.

Nordex, XXIX Metal, D-Wave Quantum – Demand is driving prices
The decarbonization of the energy industry and the accelerated expansion of data centres for calculating artificial intelligence are creating a steadily increasing demand for energy sources that are as clean and efficient as possible. In addition to the ramp-up of solar energy, wind power plays a major role. The energy transition is leading to an enormous increase in the demand for copper. Forecasts assume that the demand for copper could increase by around 50–70% by 2030. By contrast, the past decade has seen a failure to meet rising demand by developing new projects. As a result, the few copper producers are likely to benefit from rising prices in the long term.

MicroStrategy, Almonty Industries and XPeng make headlines
The markets continued to rise in the first trading week of the new year. The DAX has managed to climb past the 20,000-point mark. Bitcoin is also working on reclaiming the magical USD 100,000 mark. For some market experts, this is just the beginning of an unstoppable run for the world's largest cryptocurrency. Less covered in the media but significantly more critical is the Western world's focus on securing vital raw materials. One company is on the launchpad and could soar to new heights after production begins.
