Like a prayer wheel, green political ideas are raining down on the German industrial landscape - no more nuclear energy, but instead coal and gas. Historically high energy prices are to be accepted, even though wholesale prices are already below pre-war levels again and the energy mix is supposedly fed by more than 50% renewable energy. Because no one knows what the future holds for all this, major investment decisions by industry are now going against Germany. VW is investing EUR 10 billion in Spain, and BASF is doing the same in China. Valuable jobs that will no longer exist in Germany in the foreseeable future. What should investors keep an eye on to create at least sunny prospects in their portfolios?

Artificial intelligence (AI) is a key driver for the digital transformation of our society. Some technologies have been around for over 50 years but advances in computing power and the availability of big data and new algorithms have led to breakthroughs in AI in recent years. Even if AI is only slowly becoming present in our everyday lives, new applications are likely to bring enormous changes in the future. Decision-making processes, for example, can be strongly supported digitally since today's computers can sift through hundreds of years of knowledge within a few seconds. The demand for AI is unbroken in the economy. Clothing giant C&A, for example, has now chosen none other than Palantir to optimize its digital sales processes. Rheinmetall, too, seems to be taking unfamiliar paths. The armaments group is increasingly focusing on electromobility and is helping the German city of Cologne to get smart e-charging curbs. The increasing technologization of various industries is increasing the demand for a valuable metal: tungsten. The Canadian company Almonty Industries specializes in the precious raw material. It is now using its successfully piloted mining technology in Europe to get to tungsten production even faster.

Once again, the so-called "debt ceiling" in the US has been reached. Consequently, reports about the US financial system are filling the global headlines, with insolvency being painted on the wall. Meanwhile, it is common knowledge that the US has been printing money for a good three decades because its budget is chronically in deficit. Currently, the focus is on whether the US can reach an agreement in the debt dispute. If this does not succeed, there is the threat of a default that could shake the markets. This could push the gold price further up, which has already benefited from the banking crisis. But regardless of these uncertainties, some stocks are waiting for their turnaround. Shares such as MorphoSys and TeamViewer have already achieved it and, in some cases, more than doubled in value within a very short time. We have picked out three companies that also have this potential.
