Volkswagen, European Lithium, Xiaomi – Who benefits from the tariff hammer
With the surprising tariff exemptions for certain product groups like smartphones and computers, the US government provided some relief for the global financial markets over the weekend, which even pushed the German leading index DAX back towards the 21,000-point mark. However, the next shock could be on its way. As early as this week, Trump is expected to address the tariffs on semiconductors.

Gold and defense at RECORD LEVELS: Deutz, Barrick Gold, and Desert Gold – Who will multiply?
Gold is breaking record after record. Goldman Sachs has now raised its forecast for the price per troy ounce. Barrick and Newmont woke up last week and showed that large investors are also investing in gold mining stocks again. The takeover candidate Desert Gold offers an opportunity for multiplication. The rally has largely passed the stock by, which has been in a sideways trend for over a year. Analysts see an attractive risk-reward ratio and recommend buying the stock. Deutz is also receiving buy recommendations. Analysts view the announced acquisition as a strategic move with the potential for electrifying military vehicles in the future. And what is the gold heavyweight Barrick doing?

PRICE SURGE! Gold, Copper, Nordex, TUI, Benton Resources
Nordex reported a positive order intake amid the general recovery rally. The stock reacted yesterday with an intraday gain of over 5%. Analysts see further upside potential, and the stock has momentum. This also applies again to the gold price, which quickly regained the USD 3,100 mark. In times like these, gold is likely to remain in demand. Benton Resources should benefit from this. Investors betting on this "small Barrick Gold" are betting on both gold and copper. There are good reasons for rising prices for both commodities. This also applies to the Benton share. The historical resource estimate of the project in Canada may be far too low. At TUI, management appears confident in the Company's outlook, as board members have again bought shares. Analysts also see upside potential but warn of the potential impact of an economic slowdown.

Tariffs, rare earths, Greenland, and Trump! BYD, European Lithium, VW, and thyssenkrupp in focus
The cat is out of the bag! Donald Trump is imposing tariffs of 20 to 34%, thus snubbing his transatlantic trade partners. What has worked well for years is now being put to the test. It did not take long for reactions to the extensive tariff plans to materialize. The state and party leadership in Beijing responded to Trump's ultimatum by announcing counter-tariffs of 34 to 84%. This means that the escalation spiral in the trade dispute between the USA and China continues. The EU had already imposed some additional tariffs in March and is now waiting to see whether the US administration will change its mind. Meanwhile, the focus is once again on rare earths, as China is now imposing export restrictions on this precious commodity. Trump's imperialism is also targeting Greenland again. This is an interesting situation for investors.

Gold price to USD 3,500 and a million-dollar order! Steyr Motors, Barrick Gold, and Golden Cariboo Resources
Analysts at Goldman Sachs currently see an opportunity to enter the gold market. The experts believe that a price increase to USD 3,500 is possible. Hidden gem Golden Cariboo Resources should also benefit from this. The Company is active in legally secure Canada, and the stock appears undervalued. Important drilling results are expected later this year. Caution is advised with Barrick Gold, however. The stock was recently recommended by TV presenter Jim Cramer. However, the US stock market expert is considered a contrarian indicator, especially on social media. Meanwhile, there is positive news from abroad for Steyr Motors. A multi-million-dollar order is pushing the rumors of BaFin investigations into the background.

Gold defies the crash – Tocvan Ventures with historic results
The US government's imposition of punitive tariffs on a total of 185 countries caused global stock markets to falter. The German leading index, DAX, alone lost around 17% of its value since the announcement, leaving the psychological mark of 20,000 points far behind. Once again, gold has proven to be a safe haven, regaining the USD 3,000 per ounce mark after a brief pullback. Due to the escalating trade wars, rising inflation, and unrelenting geopolitical tensions, the precious metal is likely to continue its upward cycle. As the underlying commodity gains strength, gold stocks present massive upside potential. Tocvan Ventures, in particular, has recently made a name for itself with impressive gold discoveries.

Winners in the tariff quake: Renk, Nel ASA, Almonty – China attacks US defense industry
The tariff quake on the stock markets continued yesterday. For companies like Nike and the German automotive industry, the extent of the consequences is still unclear. However, there may also be winners. Tungsten producer Almonty emphasized yesterday that its defense-critical raw material is exempt from tariffs. In addition, China is tightening its controls on the export of critical raw materials. This makes Almonty shares even more attractive. Is a NASDAQ listing the next surprise? The effects of the tariffs are also likely to be manageable for RENK. The transmission manufacturer for tanks and other military vehicles has excellent business prospects here in Europe. The share was again recommended as a "Buy". Hydrogen could also benefit, as it helps diversify Europe's energy supply. Can Nel ASA benefit from this? A study shows that more investment in electrolysis capacity is needed in Europe.

100% price opportunity or short attack? Deutz, Bayer, Power Metallic Mines
Tension is rising at Deutz! While analysts are significantly raising their target price, short sellers are getting into position. Is it worth getting back in now? After all, the share price has corrected significantly. An interesting entry opportunity currently seems to be emerging at Power Metallic Mines. Under the name Power Nickel, the Company made headlines in 2024. Drilling uncovered not only massive nickel deposits but much more - and this is said to be just the beginning. The current price decline is an opportunity. In contrast, Bayer is simply unable to escape the negative headlines. The legal disputes will likely last at least until 2026. Nevertheless, analysts recommend buying the stock.

Porr AG, Globex Mining, Strategy – Exaggerated panic
After the euphoria came the sobering reality. Following the stock market rally since November, sparked by the re-election of Donald Trump as the new US president, we are now witnessing a direct destruction of capital. Since the Republican's inauguration, the US market has officially lost USD 10 trillion. It remains to be seen to what extent the strategy of punitive tariffs, the opening of trade disputes, and the disruption of supply chains will continue to shake the markets. In particular, companies that serve markets outside the US and can produce their raw materials domestically are likely to benefit the most.
