Pharma as a defensive alternative: Eli Lilly, Formycon and GSK in focus
This year we have repeatedly seen major rotations, particularly in the US equity markets. When AI stocks weakened, other sectors, such as utilities and pharma, performed well. No real money was withdrawn from the markets in the process. Pharma stocks could be among the big winners if the major indices suffer a serious crash. An end to the AI boom, for example, would be a disaster for investors and market participants. Investors looking to gradually adopt a more defensive position should consider adding healthcare stocks to their portfolio. In the past, this strategy has certainly often proved its worth. Today we therefore look at the shares of Formycon, Eli Lilly and GSK.

Markets are quick to judge, and often paint companies with a broad brush. When one company runs into difficulties, its competitors immediately come under suspicion too. Schott Pharma has already been through this and dispelled the doubts with strong figures. Its share price is recovering. For Lahontan Gold and Instone Real Estate, the recovery has yet to come.
