Volkswagen, Edison Lithium, BYD - Important and expensive raw materials

  • Electromobility
  • Lithium

The electromobility industry is growing rapidly, and automakers are accelerating their electric strategy. However, this requires the necessary resources such as cobalt, copper, lithium and nickel. Increased demand is meeting a more than scarce supply. The result is sharply rising prices. The primary beneficiaries are the producers, who can expect growing sales and profits in the coming years.

The battery sensation: Varta, BYD, NIO, Power Nickel: Shares down, oil price above USD 150?

  • Electromobility
  • Battery
  • Nickel

Since the invasion of Russian troops in Ukraine, the changes in the world are now clearly noticeable. Above all, it is tragic that thousands of people have died, and millions are once again forced to flee their homes. There is despair and compassion all over the globe because most nations have been blessed with peace for decades. The standard of living has also increased significantly in 95% of regions. Now, time seems to be running backward again: raw materials, food and everyday necessities are becoming dramatically more expensive, leading to substantial inflationary spurts sector by sector and pushing the level of prosperity back again. But it also shows: We humans must become more independent of fossil energy and advance alternative technologies. We show you shares that are in line with this trend.

Saturn Oil + Gas, BYD, Bayer - Winning with strong companies

  • Oil
  • Electromobility

When oil futures were trading in negative territory even for a short time at the outbreak of the Corona pandemic in the spring of 2020, many experts assumed that the black gold would remain at a low level in the long term. Only JPMorgan spoke at that time of a possible supercycle and prices over USD 100 per barrel. The analysts cited the supply shortage due to the swing towards green energy production as the reason. Due to the Ukraine crisis, supply has once again been drastically reduced, which is likely to fuel oil prices in the long term.

Nordex, Phoenix Copper, E.ON - Under power

  • Copper
  • Electromobility

The Ukraine war is making the stock markets nervous. Once again, we realize that normality can end overnight. Massive sanctions have hit Russia. The dependence on our eastern neighbor for energy and raw materials is becoming abundantly clear. The oil and gas prices are soaring, which again strengthens the desire to rely on renewable energies. The growth of electromobility should gain further momentum due to current developments.

Panic oil price USD 130: Volkswagen, Porsche, Nevada Copper, Mercedes - Next push for e-mobility!

  • Copper
  • Electromobility

The panic moves in the oil and gas markets are making a trend increasingly apparent: For raw material importers, the historical dependence on fossil fuels is becoming unaffordable. Consequently, alternative energy and drive concepts are enjoying a renaissance, and GreenTech stocks are already the big winners. The same applies to copper: It is an essential metal for the high-tech industry due to its extreme conductivity. There has been a supply deficit since 2019, and the price has already quintupled in the years 2020 to early 2022. Who will close the dramatic gap?

Rheinmetall, Altech Advanced Materials, Varta, Standard Lithium - Who can deliver?

  • Technology
  • Electromobility

Oil, gas, steel, and wheat - these are the goods that are becoming extremely scarce due to the Ukraine crisis. Scarce in the sense of expensive. Because, in the case of oil, OPEC does not yet want to adjust its production quotas. After all, they are currently earning splendidly with prices of up to USD 135 for Brent. Russia and Ukraine are important producers of steel and wheat, in addition to their 11% market share in oil and gas production. Steel is likely to be real short supply, as the start-up of several idle blast furnaces will take the West some time. And as for wheat, the futures market tells us it is up 46% this year. So it is clear the commodity rally and supply chain theme continues. Which companies should we be paying attention to?

BYD, Nevada Copper, Mercedes-Benz Group: Price shock also at the charging station

  • Copper
  • Electromobility

The fact that prices at gas pumps are constantly rising is nothing new for drivers. But with the price shock now also looming at charging stations, it is a new experience for many e-car drivers. Providers of charging infrastructures, such as EnBW, Tesla, Enel and Stadtwerke München, have raised their prices in recent months, in some cases significantly: The kilowatt-hour has become between 8% and 82% more expensive. What will happen now?

Alibaba, Hong Lai Huat, BYD - Asia as a safe haven for investments?

  • RealEstate
  • Electromobility

The war in Ukraine is causing falling stock indices on both sides. The sanctions against Russia will be extensive; even Nord Stream 2 has been stopped for the time being, although Olaf Scholz did not want to name the pipeline for a long time when it came to possible sanctions. Many countries are calling for Russia to be excluded from the SWIFT system. However, this would mean that many countries would be harming themselves, as energy imports from Russia would no longer be affordable. The war will have losers on both sides. Investors who still want to make their money work for them can take a closer look at companies from the Asian region. China is neutral in the showdown. Which stocks offer opportunities?

Shake-up in the auto industry - who loses, who benefits: Porsche, Altech Advanced Materials, Volkswagen

Porsche's planned IPO created a mood of celebration on the market at a turbulent time. The mood among the Porsche and Piëch families is also likely to be one of expectation. After all, they are to receive a blocking minority and would thus once again have more power over their Company. VW is also hoping for advantages from the IPO of its profitable subsidiary: For example, in investments in electromobility and in the valuation of the entire Group. Here's what the deal means for the companies involved and what the consequences could be for smaller technology providers.

The Ukraine crisis is currently shaking up the capital markets. But such a time also offers the opportunity to analyze one's portfolio and make changes where necessary. The assessments of analysts can help here. With TeamViewer, Allianz and Altech Advanced Materials, we present opinions on companies of different sizes and sectors. The figures and outlook of insurance giant Allianz have convinced analysts. TeamViewer's stock has recovered from its lows in recent weeks, but analysts are still predominantly cautious.
