This Investment Scenario Will Last for Years: Tungsten Giant Almonty and the Demand from Hensoldt, RENK, and Others

  • Tungsten
  • Defense
  • hightech
  • geopolitics

On January 1, 2027, the US Department of Defense's import ban on tungsten products from China, Russia, North Korea, and Iran will take effect. Because tungsten is considered an almost irreplaceable element in defense technology, semiconductors, and the aerospace industry, this ban is creating significant time pressure across these sectors. At the same time, the EU is also tightening requirements for raw material sovereignty with the Critical Raw Materials Act (CRMA). China is exacerbating the situation with export restrictions on dual-use materials. As a result, the global tungsten market is sliding into a severe structural shortage. We take a look at where the opportunities lie for investors—and which companies to watch.

Three Tech Stocks in the Spotlight: Micron Technology, Volatus Aerospace, and First Solar

  • Defense
  • Drones
  • aerospace
  • hightech

Will interest rate hikes derail the tech boom? Maybe. But the fact remains: the artificial intelligence-driven sector is growing dramatically. After AI hyperscalers reported their first-quarter results, analysts raised their estimate for industry capex this year alone to more than USD 700 billion. Companies like Google, Meta, Amazon, Microsoft, and others are heavily investing in breakthroughs, believing this is where future profits and monopolies will emerge. Beneficiaries of this trend are not only the hyperscalers themselves but also their vast supplier networks, as data centers require chips, memory, and energy. AI development is also playing a key role in the drone industry. Whether civilian or military, unmanned aerial systems already have a firm place in the world today and are likely to grow in importance. Against this backdrop, we take a closer look at the stocks of Micron Technology, Volatus Aerospace, and First Solar.

Shockwaves in the German defence sector! TKMS Surges! Will drone specialist Volatus Aerospace and Heidelberger Druckmaschinen be next?

  • Drones
  • Defense
  • hightech

The German government has sent shockwaves through the German defence sector. While Rheinmetall's stock briefly plummeted by more than 16% on Wednesday, TKMS's stock rose by over 10%. The trigger was a "Spiegel" report confirmed by the Ministry of Defence. According to the report, the German government is ending the severely delayed and significantly more expensive F126 frigate program. This puts Rheinmetall's medium-term plans at risk. At the same time, TKMS could benefit. Volatus Aerospace is capitalizing on the drone boom. With a new location, the company aims to grow in the civilian and military drone market. If it succeeds in monetizing its 500 million dollar pipeline more effectively, the stock should take off again. Heidelberger Druckmaschinen is in the midst of transforming itself from a printing press manufacturer into an industrial and technology company. In the future, it also plans to get involved in drone defence. While there is still a rocky road ahead, analysts recommend buying the stock.

Tungsten as a Bottleneck: A Good Entry Point for Almonty Industries? Alarm Bells Ringing at Rheinmetall! Intel on the Rise!

  • Tungsten
  • Defense
  • hightech
  • AI

Tungsten prices have skyrocketed in recent months. Inventories are dwindling, and China is curbing exports. Demand from the defense, semiconductor, and medical technology sectors is outpacing supply. Analysts are warning of structural shortages. The price per metric ton unit (MTU)—equivalent to 10 kg—has been above the USD 3,000 mark for some time now. The metal is becoming a critical bottleneck for armour, processors, and high-tech applications. To avoid this dependency, there are only a few Western producers. Almonty Industries, which holds one of the largest tungsten deposits outside of China, is increasingly moving into focus. Alongside this, we take a closer look at the current situation at the defense company Rheinmetall and the semiconductor manufacturer Intel.

Defense and Critical Metals: New Investment Opportunities! Rheinmetall, Renk, Almonty Industries, and RTX in Focus

Supply Chain Problems! US President Donald Trump has summoned leading defense contractors to the White House because the US is concerned that its missile and ammunition stocks are too low following its involvement in the Iran War, according to the Wall Street Journal. The meeting will focus on how to quickly ramp up production to rapidly replace, above all, Patriot interceptor missiles, Tomahawk cruise missiles, and other critical munitions. Expected participants include Lockheed Martin, RTX, Boeing, L3Harris, Northrop Grumman, and Honeywell Aerospace, among others. The companies have agreed in principle to expand their capacities but are still waiting for the necessary funding and binding contracts. That is precisely where the problem lies at the moment: The US has a debt problem, and without budgetary funds or a congressional agreement on special appropriations, the planned contracts cannot be finalized legally. At the same time, Trump is urging the industry also to use spare capacity from other sectors—such as automakers—for weapons production. Defense seems to be overshadowing all other major issues in the US. The stock market clearly sees things differently! Where do the opportunities lie for investors?

Created and published on behalf of Antimony Resources Corp.

The rally in European defense stocks is running out of steam. After months of impressive share price gains, hopes for peace and high valuations are unsettling investors. While Rheinmetall and peers suffer from volatility, the focus is shifting toward a less-watched niche market. The structural uptrend in defense spending remains intact, but tomorrow's winners could be those that benefit from the security boom without producing weapons themselves. This is exactly where opportunities are opening up at companies that serve tomorrow's defense supply chain with drone defense, critical raw materials and high-tech components. DroneShield, Antimony Resources and MP Materials exemplify this strategic shift.
