Drumrolls for small and mid-cap stocks: Argo Graphene Solutions is causing a stir with an exciting partnership and is taking a big step closer to commercialization. A new material is poised to revolutionize the way we build. The potential for the Company and its shares is huge. The situation is different at Hensoldt. The Company appears to be stagnant in terms of growth and margins. Analysts, therefore, consider the valuation to be too high and recommend selling. The forecast adjustment at SFC Energy has shown that, here too, growth cannot quite keep pace with the recent euphoria. With the latest orders, the Company aims to regain lost investor confidence.

Better and greener at the same time? Yes, it is possible - with modern building materials! According to a study by the UN Environment Programme, 37% of global CO2 emissions come from the construction industry. At the same time, infrastructure around the world is considered to be in a state of disrepair. Germany alone plans to spend hundreds of billions to tackle the backlog of repairs to bridges, roads, and networks. Innovative building materials are just what is needed. In this article, we highlight current industry trends, explain how additives make building materials both better and greener, and highlight which building material stocks offer the greatest leverage.

The new US-EU trade pact is creating deep rifts. While many European exports are groaning under the 15% tariffs, exceptions and location strategies are deciding who the winners and losers will be. Bayer and BASF are facing rising costs, but their innovative strength offers the key to limiting the damage. Argo Graphene Solutions, on the other hand, is strategically well-protected thanks to its US subsidiary and can take a relaxed approach to the customs issue. Those who identify the right levers now will turn trade risks into returns. Three companies, three ways through the tariff jungle. We take a look at how each is dealing with the new landscape.

Three shares, three stories – ranging from high-tech hopes to defense-driven fantasy to valuation concerns. Argo Graphene Solutions is bringing the "miracle material" graphene to the construction industry. The stock is on an upward trend. If the rollout is successful, a multi-fold increase is possible. At Salzgitter, hopes for a revaluation based on defense fantasies evaporated after a sharp forecast cut; however, the price loss may have been excessive. And RENK? The defense supplier remains in demand, but valuation concerns are growing. Where is it still worth getting in?

Innovation often needs a catalyst - an event that accelerates the adoption of new technologies and pushes companies to explore new directions. The past few years have been full of such catalysts: climate change has driven efforts to reduce CO2 emissions, and the US government's rumbling attacks on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy have prompted a global rethink of defense spending. Graphene, a material of the future, is at the center of many of these developments – reason enough to explore potential investment options.

A lot is falling apart around the world right now, not just in material terms, but also structurally. Wars, geopolitical tensions, and economic upheavals are putting entire regions under pressure. Although Germany is not directly affected militarily, the consequences of the wear and tear are clearly noticeable here as well: our infrastructure, which has been criminally neglected for decades, is increasingly showing cracks, both literally and figuratively. Dilapidated bridges, overloaded rail networks, outdated power lines, and sluggish fibre optic expansion are now even hampering competitiveness. Europe has recognized these weaknesses and is responding with ambitious investment programs. The Green Deal, the EU Recovery Fund, and national economic stimulus packages are set to pour billions into sustainable mobility, energy supply, digitalization, and resilience. Where are the winners for your portfolio?

Driven by geopolitical tensions, billions are flowing into new defense technology. At the same time, a massive infrastructure program is underway – from rail networks to the energy transition. What is being sold politically as security and progress is fueling speculation on the stock market. Defense companies and construction groups are moving into the spotlight of investor interest. Both sectors are benefiting from long-term contracts and government support. Despite the recent boom, many companies still have moderate valuations and offer further upside potential.
