Deutsche Bank, Globex Mining, Rheinmetall – High-flying stocks for good reason
Amid geopolitical tensions, the looming trade war, and interest rate cuts by the ECB, there are still stocks that are not deterred by all the challenges and continue to rise. These high-flyers have either structured their business well or are taking advantage of megatrends such as commodities, which could be at the beginning of a supercycle, or the supply of defense equipment, which is in high demand given the tensions in the world. Investors who identify emerging trends early can make a lot of money, but those who enter the market later can still profit. The prerequisite for this is always a look at the fundamentals.

RWE, Nova Pacific Metals, Alibaba - How wind power, raw materials, and AI will shape the future
The energy transition and technological progress are shaping the global economic landscape in the first quarter. The German energy company RWE is investing in an innovative offshore wind farm control center on the German North Sea coast that will control the growing fleet of wind turbines from 2026. Renewable energies consume a lot of copper in their construction, bringing the explorer Nova Pacific Metals into focus. The Canadian company is preparing to start drilling at its strategically important Lara VMS project with a high copper content on Vancouver Island. The timing is ideal, as global demand for copper will increase to 50 million tons by 2035 – driven by energy transition projects like those of RWE, where a modern wind turbine alone requires 30 tons of copper. With secured financing of CAD 2.86 million and experienced expertise in the team, the chances for the drilling and further measures are excellent. The Chinese retail giant Alibaba is duly recognized as a global technology leader by the US Fortune Magazine and is ranked 3rd in the Internet Services and Retail category. What the publishers considered particularly important has to do with an AI highlight...

Siemens Energy, XXIX Metal, Volkswagen – Is the energy transition in danger due to US tariffs?
The euro is falling, mainly due to the recent interest rate cut by the ECB. This puts the interest rate difference at around 1.5%. At the same time, a trade war is looming due to the new US tariff policy. After America raised tariffs on imports from Canada to 25% and on energy to 10%, Justin Trudeau, in turn, raised tariffs by 25%. In addition, measures in the raw materials and energy sectors are being considered. For example, refineries may no longer process US oil. The Canadians supply 85% of their copper to the US. If supplies were to be stopped, this would potentially drive up copper prices and, at the same time, jeopardize the energy transition.

Apple, First Nordic Metals, Barrick Gold - Technology sector meets commodity markets in transition
The global economy is showing its dynamic side at the beginning of 2025. Apple presents strong quarterly figures with record revenue of USD 124.3 billion. The Services division, in particular, stands out with a growth of 14% to USD 26.34 billion. First Nordic Metals Corporation offers high gold exploration potential thanks to its properties in the Scandinavian countries of Sweden and Finland. In Mali, West Africa, on the other hand, the leading gold producer, Barrick Gold, is facing further difficulties with the Malian government. This geopolitical development highlights the shift towards raw material projects in politically stable regions, which also offer a significant tax advantage.

Barrick Gold, First Nordic Metals, Commerzbank – The gold rally is fueled by falling interest rates
The gold price is once again on track for a new all-time high. A number of factors suggest that the rally will continue. The FED is expected to cut interest rates twice this year, central banks have been buying significantly more gold since 2022, and geopolitical tensions are fueling increased interest in the precious metal. In addition, Trump's policies could drive up inflation again in the long term, which would put the USD under pressure. This would also help the gold price. However, it remains to be seen whether the US central bank would actually cut interest rates twice. We are therefore looking at 2 gold companies and analyzing Commerzbank, for which the interest rate environment is very important.

Volkswagen, Nova Pacific Metals, D-Wave Quantum – Is a trade war about to break out?
Donald Trump is the new president of the United States of America, and he is moving at a rapid pace. On his first day, he issued several decrees, and his inaugural address was also impactful. He announced tariffs on imports. Goods from Mexico and Canada will be subject to 25% customs duties. And tariffs of up to 60% are being considered for products from China. If the US isolates itself like this, China, in particular, could significantly restrict its raw material exports, and the trade war would be officially underway. The race for critical raw materials has already begun. Trump has already put out feelers to Greenland and Canada. Where will high-tech industries source their raw materials from in the future?

Better than Nvidia! Vistra, Siemens Energy, Nordex, XXIX Metal
With a gain of 264%, Vistra Energy outshone Nvidia in 2024. Who would have thought that a "boring" stock could increase tenfold in less than four years. But the stock is benefiting massively from the AI hype. The same goes for the German company Siemens Energy. Both are still unstoppable in the new year. At the beginning of the energy value chain, commodity stocks have catch-up potential. One promising stock is XXIX Metal. The Company focuses on copper in Canada and has takeover potential. The stock has also been listed in Frankfurt since this month and recently published positive results. Nordex could become a Trump loser. US business accounts for a noticeable share of the bulging order book. What happens next?

Top performers wanted! Nel ASA, First Nordic Metals, thyssenkrupp and Agnico-Eagle
With rising inflation since 2021, the price of gold has also risen significantly. Over the last 20 years, resourceful investors have always been able to compensate for the loss of purchasing power with an average return of a good 8.5% per year. The crux of the matter is that one could not trade the ups and downs in precious metals because only long-term holders can look back on gold prices around USD 500 in 2005. Today, 20 years later, new highs of USD 2,788 have already been reached. Agnico-Eagle is one of the most successful mines in the world, with its shares almost doubling in the last 12 months. Things have been going equally well for Agnico's partner, the explorer First Nordic Metals. A closer analysis reveals even more ideas for boosting your portfolio.

XXIX Metal, Apple, D-Wave - Three beneficiaries of the 500-billion-dollar AI revolution
At high speed, the US government announces the "Stargate" project - a historic USD 500 billion investment in the country's AI infrastructure. The strategic partnership between tech giants such as OpenAI, SoftBank, and Oracle will include the construction of 20 state-of-the-art data centres. Initial construction work in Texas has already begun. Tons of copper will be needed to build the infrastructure and data centres, which means golden times are dawning for copper exploration companies. On the one hand, demand for copper is increasing due to rapid technological advances, and on the other hand, analysts say that the price of copper could double this year. Microsoft and Nvidia emphasize the strategic importance of healthcare in the AI deal. This is precisely where Apple has an opportunity for the future. If they manage to make a breakthrough with the Apple Watch in the diabetes market, there is the potential for billions of dollars in profits. D-Wave, a quantum computer manufacturer, also seems to be on the fast track. The Silicon Valley company produces, among other things, energy-efficient AI computing solutions. Music to the ears of investors...

Trump is back! NATO rearmament with Rheinmetall, Renk, Hensoldt and Nova Pacific Metals
After a grand inauguration night, the 47th US President Donald Trump is diving straight into government business. The first decrees include an exit from the WHO and the Paris Climate Agreement. At the same time, he repeated his demand that NATO countries drastically increase their investment budgets if they expect to continue to be protected by the US. What this could mean for the planet is alarming. For the stock market, this means getting out of Greentech stocks and into high-tech and defense for the time being. Strategic metals are also coming back into focus because nothing will move forward without them. Where can investors still make a return now?
